I've never been good with wallpapers, and its been a while since I last used photoshop, but I'll give it my all ;). What I have in mind is adding a couple of horns the guy, a trident, a fiery BG, some smoke effects around the nose and mouth and a little comment that says "BEHOLD! STINKY BREATH ATTACK!"

OR... We could do the exact opposite. Give him a flowery BG with the sun shining brightly, some nice clouds, some wind effects and say something like "Good morning sunshine!"

OR... We could add a few bars on the guy's face, give him a sandy BG or something and put on a little note that says "Beware of freaky-monster."

I know some of those sound mean, and if I could I would appropriately apologize to the guy in advance before doing such a thing really =/.

I really like that flower idea. That will add a big contrast between picture and theme.

I rather like the flower idea too. I rather wish that the contest would have been to use a character from Bleach or some other anime as the image. I would think that this is humor contest too.

Swt... wallpaper making, am always bad at creating wallpaper so i wont be able to help out on this contest. I can only cut and that's all...

Wha wha? aww man, I was under the assumption you (bulten) or ZB were on the case, seeing as everyone had ideas etc. You're both better at Photoshop than me anyway :p:

I'll have a go this evening, not really up to much. Would like to see what anyone else has come up with so I don't end up doing something similar :sad:

Ahh I thought you made your sigs etc. Anywho theres a reason I stay away from the graphics boards of the forum, that being Im not up to that standard. I had a go, but its the first wallpaper Ive ever made. Thumbnail:

I went with blue because it matched the shirt. Err, isnt much too it, just randomness going on in the bg. The person stood out too muchso I tried to integrate (and cover up white noise around the edge, was lazy and used wand tool) with the smudgy stuff, doesn't quite work.

It's the best I can do with the image/lack of motivation :p:

I like it...the only thing I think we could use to make it better is to add some words to it or something. Need to throw in a bit of humor, as this contest isn't supposed to be 100% serious I think.

Rules:

dragon_slayer, go for it you can probably do a much better job than me, but I urge you to reread the contest thread before doing so. It says no stock butchering/serious wallpapers only, which kinda stopped me going with ZB's ideas to begin with!

Are we're ignoring the rules and submitting a comedy paper anyway? :(

Nope for the time being we're using Static's wallpaper unless Dragon_Slayer and/or Chris` come up with something else. The fact that its a serious wallpaper made all my ideas go to waste. Good job Static :).

So here's what are we going to do. We are simply going to vote for the wallpaper used in this contest. Each one posts which wallpaper would he/she want as the contest's entry. Remember we've got around 24 hours from this post. So if you read this and decide to get lazy about it, just remember we have a time constraint :P.

Dragon_Slayer: I must say that is an interesting take on a wallpaper for that image. I don't think that the image has been altered. The man is still complete. There are just pieces of him that you used for the background. However I am not sure what everyone else will think. I must say that you did a good job.
