i luv Hitsugaya's ban kai, Hyourimmaru. It is mad awesome. Ok i might be slightly biased cuz i think he's cute and i really wanted someone to kick Gin's ass. Gin's eyes remind me of an ex boyfried :eek: :eek:
Hitsugaya revelead his ban kai ? when ? if you mean the "Hyourimmaru" it's just a type of his attack.

I'm not sure Hyourimmaru is Hitsugaya ban kai i think it's just the first level of his sword (i don't remember him saying BAN KAI Hyourimmaru , i think he just said elevation in the ice Hyourimmaru )

I like Renji's (whipping around a giant bone snake is awesome, no matter what anyone says) and that foxhead captain's was petty cool, shame he didn't use it...

I'd LOVE to see Zaraki's Ban Kai, but alas, his sword is just a tool of war to him.

let's see....byakuya was pretty lame, i mean flying swords?! bleh...and then the blind guy's was pretty weak...renji's was pretty cool, then fox dude's was cool...um...can't really say till i see what ichigo's does...but so far renji's in the lead

ps...what's up with chaps 151-160...i've got it up till 150, then i got 162?

Right now, I have to say Renji's is my favorite. The baboon alone looks lame, but in Ban Kai....wow. That thing was badass. I wanna see Ichigo's too; Zangetsu (that's his name, right?) is really cool normally.

As for Hitsugaya's...I think it's just the released form of the sword. It's not his Ban Kai

The current known ban kai are:

Byakuya's: Senbonsakura Kageyoshi [billions of sword fragments]
Renji's: Baboon King, Zabimaru [giant skeleton snakesword]
Ichigo's: Tensa Zangetsu [black sword of awesome]
Mayuri's: Golden Ashisogi Jizou [gigantic doll-like figure that releases toxic fumes at an alarming rate]
Tousen's: Enmakoorogi [giant dome of senselessness.]
Sajin's: Kokujouten Genmyouou [gigantic viking that follows sajin's movements]

I gotta say that if Byakuya could use it more creatively, his ban would be pretty awesome. Cmon, you saw how he formed lots of little swords against Renji. He could make a good 20-30 men completely formed of swords. After that, Ichigo's is best. It condenses everything into the smallest area possible for the strongest and fastest power. Then Renji. Cmon, its badass.

For me its Yamamoto all the way. I mean he even has the cool saying to realse his ban kai "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust!" And then he is surrounded with a holy fire that is said to burn anything, as well as dramatically increase his spiritual pressure. Making him the strongest of the shinigami, as well as team 1 captain. After that it is Ichigo, that ban kai is so sleak and simple, yet screams power. I can't wait to see its full potential. Colors not to bad either (its black).

that freakin psycho doctor dude had the creepiest looking ban kai...like a giant baby head...but i definately think that renji's is the coolest so far...i can't wait to see gin's or little ice dude's...i wonder if they'll show a flashback to show some of captain aizen's moves...?

My favorite ban kai has to be Byakuya's. I think I spelled that right. The whole cherry blossom thing is just awesome. Although Ichigo's is bad ass and all. It's just the beauty you see before you're just slain like a little *****. ^^

I like Byakuya's bankai although I don't really have much favorite ones in mind. It looks very grand too since the cherry blossoms petals fly in the air. Just imagine how majestic it will look when it becomes animated~~=P

oh, undeniably ichigo's and renji's ban kai's are very cool. lately, i've developed such a fondness for shunsui and i love that his was a twin.

i'm excited about urahara-san's ban kai too! i hope that in the next few manga chapters we find out more about why he became a renegade and what else he can do with his Benihime.

:biggrinlo first time in my life i've ever been envious of a sword ^^ i just adore him. and i bet that his ban kai will be awesome.

Shunsui's twin blade is just his shikai, not his bankai fyi. Anyway, my favorite is Ichigo because it's not as ridiculous as other people's. Nice and simple, yet powerful.

Ichigo's ban-kai is just amazingly cool and outrageously powerful. I also like Hitsugaya's even if it's appeared twice and hasn't really done much but it just looks cool. xD

kurotsuchi mayuri has also relesed his Ban kai in the manga which was not referenced in this topic [ someone should do a poll]. Kurotsuchi's Ban kai is Golden Ashisogi Jizou which releases some sort of big blow up doll that transforms the users blood to gas. the release of this toxic gas affects everyone except the people that share the same blood line as him. If you get infected by this attack imminent death draws near to you, he and his assistant are the only ones that seem to have an antidote. part of his Ban kai is that as the "blow doll" is taking his blood and turning it into toxic gas the user is near invincible as any attack directed towards him will not hurt him in the long run unless it is at his head which will kill him, so in other words as soon as he releases his Ban kai you only have one way to kill him. The regenrative skills kurotsuchi has might be apart of his Bankai where he is able to degenerate himself into a poll of his own molecules run away and regenarate himself, but it takes awhile for him to complete his regenaration.

Hitsugaya's Bankai appears only once and that is in chapter 170 that was newly released. The Bankai form of hitsugaya is pretty similar to that of his initial released form accept bigger and stronger, I am also assuming the radius of affect around him is bigger in the ban kai form than it is in his regular form.

although I have yet to familiarise myself with all the different bankais, of the ones I've seen so far, I think that Byakuya's true bankai (the "Senkei Senbonzakura Kageyoshi") is just brilliant. The wall of suspended swords, the techniques he can perform with them, the concept of the shards "condensed into individual swords" so as to maximise potency...just awesome.

Although Ichigo's, as has been said several times, is also brilliant. gaah, both too cool, can't decide!

Yeah, i also think of Byakuya's Bankai to be awesome with its many use.. But Ichigo'g bankai's ablity realy kicks ass and because his power is always at full blast it will never return to normal again that means Ichigo is always on the super speed mode! plus his aura becomes black, not just the sword, when he reach his bankai.

My favourite bankai is Ichigo's, Renji's, Toushirou's and Byakuya's. They're all so cool. ^^ I can't decide which one of those is my number 1 favourite.

I think Tousen's bankai is pretty creepy and useful at the same time. What I wouldn't give for an advantage like that.

Unless my opponent is that monstrous Zaraki Kenpachi, of course.

I would say Hitsugaya's and Byakuka's Ban Kai is the best so far. Hitsugaya's is just so flashy. Not sure what it does though.... (that thing happened with *spoilers*!!!! Garble!!!!) but Byakuka's is pretty cool. Lots of blades = good.

My favorite Ban Kai is Byakuyas, you cant even see his petals and all those blades will kill anyone for sure(exceptions apply) but just think off him vs so many other hallows just using it they cant see it comming and there whole bodey is just kneedles, I want his ability.
Tousens Darkness dome is sweet as well it would have worked on so many things though because you cant hear, scence, see and your basicly F***ed(KenPatchi is a beast).

Renji's powerful. Very. My favorites are Tensa Zangetsu - Ichigo's. I love it. Byakuya's the second - unbeatable in terms of defense. The third is Shiro-chan's. I like the Ice thing (I'm thinking of my Zanpaktou to have a connection to ice..)

We haven't really seen many bankais. Only Ichigo, Byakuya, Renji, Mayuri, Hitsugaya, Tousen, and Komamura.

The best so far would seem to be Byakuya. Why?
Ichigo's has a limit, use it too long and it crush your body until you can't move.
Renji's is a lame whip.
Mayuri's is ugly as hell, but it got poison which doesn't allow his enemy to get close.
Hitsugaya's just freezes people, boring.
Tousen's is just lame. GET AWAY FROM THE BUBBLE and you're fine. Secondly, if Byakuya surrounded himself with petals how would Tousen even touch him?
Komamura's is cool a big giant, but we haven't seen much from it.

Ichigo's has a limit because Ichigo is yet to master it. NoName uses it twice as effectively. Don't judge a BanKai by the user.

i agree with you, shoot to kill is damn cool, and no doubt straightforward.
hmm, on the fave bankai, that would be.. tensa zangetsu and hitsugaya's bankai.. the four leaf thingy on top is so cool... (since this is manga) it is to represent something, i forgot though...

God help us if he ever uses it. My favorites are: Tensa Zangetsu (Zangetsu is my favorite Zanpaktou) then SenbonZakura Kageyoushi (elegance and power), Dai Gouren Hyourinmaru (I like the ice abilities), and Ryuumon Houzukimaru (the great and the mighty). Other than that, still waiting for more BanKais to appear.
