now let's take a step down from XIII for awhile...so who's wating for XII to come out in October i'm already playing XII (iapanese version) so far it's good but the battles suck!! it has XI's attack system (i think) where you choose to attack and wait for the bar to fill up and then you attack

I think the combat of XII is a bit better than XI, but theres strong similarities too. The game doesn't come out until Christmas here in Europe (after PS3 launch, seems odd) :(

Ive only played the demo but I guess I'll end up getting it because it seems like forever since the last one came out :p:

alot better i say.. atleast the battle system is changed... i hate random battles... mixed of star ocean and final fantasy.. the demo is okay, but its not really have much stuff developed into it.. alot of bugs...

as long as its not a linear lead you by the nose game like X was I'll probably get it. still love FF graphics. battle systems we get used to pretty quick.

I can't wait for the game to come out! I've played the demo and I think the new fighting system is neat. It reminds me of FFXI which I stopped playing, so it'll be nice to be able to experience something like the battle system in FFXI without having to play the MMO. :D

The demo was... okay, but i was kinda expecting more :sad: . However, im not gonna judge this game on the demo only, and i'lll likely be getting this because it comes out around my birthday. And the medieval setting is back, yay.

I wasnt too fond of the demo, more or less because i didnt really understand the battle system too much. I'm sure i'll grow to love it but ATM, im very worried it'll flop or something.

In October... I see... All of you have completed all FF games??? I mean... FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2... FFI, FFII... I know there are more... but they are quite difficult to get...

Hell yes... I am getting XII... the new Licence Board seems interesting... aswell as the figthing system... the visuals are also stunning as always... can't wait for it to hit shelves this october...

I'm waitin for it!but I played the demo version and it makes it feel more open than anything.I like that.all the other ones didn't have this feeling.so I hope that the ones that come out after will be just as good.

Well when i got the demo with DQ8 i wasn't really expecting anything special. But i actually thought that the battle system was fun. Somewhat of a change from the regular FF style. Also i never played FFXI so that might be a factor in my decision.

As long as I know, it'll come out in december in europe... I'm really itchin' to have it...
If you are also interested, Kingdom Hearts 2 is released in October... Wow, I'll buy both for sure!!!

In december? Wohoo! I was afraid it would be later than that. About the u.s. release one game magazine said it´ll come out in autumn.

Theres no set release date for Europe, hopefully they confirm it soon after the game conference in Leipzig later this month. As for the American release, the official site goes active in two days, and can be reached at this link (http://www.finalfantasyxii.com/).

It'd make good business sense for them to get it out before christmas, but knowing SQE Europe and delays it'll come out waay post PS3 launch.

I just saw the commercial for this game and it definetly caught my attention the graphics look so awesome I can't wait till it comes out

I got the leaked version a while ago, it's pretty awesome. graphics are amazing as expected. the gambits system for the battles is great. encounters aren't random anymore, and the maps are fucking huge.

btw, there's another thread like this. around page 4 or so..
