Can't wait for this gem to come out!

I loved Disgaea...great gameplay, absolutely one of the FUNNIEST games i've ever played (I rarely laugh out loud at games, but this made me do it a lot...the only other game even close is Earthbound), and just cool all around.

Disgaea 2...here's hoping it improves it on all counts!

You got it! Disgaea 2:Cursed Memories is bound to have improvements. Such as new weapons, new systems and such. I even heard that there are now these things called "Geo-Bugs" in which bigs carrying Geo symbols can run around(not good in some cases).

From where I am, I got mine pre-ordered, since Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was such a big hit in SRPGs, it's going to be hard getting a copy of Disgaea 2 without a pre-order.

I have no idea what this game is going to be about, but I am sure that it will contain just as much explosions, Laharl, Laughter, Laharl, Crazy bosses, Laharl, Armies of Prinnies and last but not least: Laharl!

Gah..Disgaea is a ok game but I don`t know If I`m gonna buy the 2nd one. I think Final Fantasy Tactics was a better Tactical Rpg than this even though it was pretty good.

I agree, FFT was better...

But Disgaea is definitely the 2nd best SRPG i've played.

FFT was to boring for me, i need the flashy stuff to keep me interested and disgaea had that (along with humor and a surprisingly deep system *cough*itemworld*cough*)

and something i'm pretty happy about is that unlike the first game, the yoshitsuna isnt the ultimate end-all be-all weapon. yes, it is insanely powerful but it doesnt have the attack range, but all the other weapon classes get a over powered weapon that in its own regard can be teh yoshistuna of that weapon class. at least, i think thats how its gonna be.

and on an even better note, the final fight (not in the story) against baal is nuts.

*this is spoilers kinda, it explains what the boss fight really is and i dont know how to use spoiler tags*

you fight an average baal first then you fight prinny baal at lv. 9999 with 4 lower lv. normal baal's that i think were either lv. 4000 or 8000, something like that

FFT and Disgaea were classics for two entirely different reasons.

FFT because of the INCREDIBLE level of tactical detail and customization of characters - anything was possible.

Disgaea because of variety (random dungeons, anyone?) and humor, and for being a damn good tactics game in its own right.

However, I'll DEFINATELY be picking up this game ASAP. Because I have the first, and it's OWNOS.

And for the record, there NEEDS to be an FFT 2. Not FFTA, that was crap. Something with Ramza in it. Or a story similar in nature to the original's, anyways.

Whew I got the second one 2 days ago and I must say I LOVE It! It improved over the original on all accounts and is downright Hilarious. And The Battle system to me is even better than before!
