I usually don't write such truely emotional pieces, usually I write retrospectively or about mundane things in an interesting way. But today I felt different.

Awaiting Disaster is Nothing to Vampires

Two miles from Germany;
the urge to turn back is stronger Than ever.
Like the halfway point, or even ten minutes from
your drive the urge of the destinations
impossibility seems Graduating.
However smashing together pieces of this puzzle,
is rather unrewarding.

To a certain extent the car ride was less a ride than a journey
and Less a journey than an epic.
Words too flowery have no reserve here,
(especially for him)
It was a meaningless trip.
He didn’t want to see me and I him.

Trials of tribulations or god’s
stimulations couldn’t save me
from that. Clawing manically
I imagined our last visit
and my tears that stained the carpet
were a joke to him.
egomaniacal, diabolical in his wake like the ocean's tide.

He felt none of these emotions
or even had a thought of the
process in question.
“**** Hamburg”
The Osmobile didn’t think so
though and I found the accelerator
pressed down like his hands
on my neck.

Edit: meh, it bleeped out the swear, understandable I supposed. It's the "F" word though ;)

Woah, smith. Nice piece. Its good to see that we've got a different range of poets whose styles and views are different. Would like to see some of your other works too :)

Much apreciated, I find variety in ones work helps the process of writing it's self, therefore, no peace of mine is in anyway similar to another. Ok, maybe sometimes. ;)

Thanks, it's a fine poem, but I almost feel it would be better in a prose form. It would do it more justice, and alow for more developement of the character...now that I've thought about it, It think that'll be my ne xt project!

I would like to see that development... The character himself seems very interesting, as is the poem. Very charged, emotionally and with the images you used. It truely is a beautiful piece ;)
