I want to make a sorta miniture convention at my high school. The culture fest idea didn't pull through, so now we're gonna have a free for all event filled with Anime screening on the schools projector, several consoles with DDR and Para Para Paradise, cosplay (w/o weapons), fighting games tournaments, music and performances, the works. Add any ideas yo think I should add to this as well as any and all (serious) suggestions. Thanks a ton everyone! :winking56

just throw in LOTS of japanese snacks and perhaps some panda express catering and you have it made.

You're a big fan of Panda Express, aren't you? (so am I)
Anyway, like he said, get a ton of food because people like to eat. Also, make sure you have anime and games from many different genres and not just the one you like. Maybe you could have karaoke too? Jpop/rock blasting through the speakers? Sounds like a great day to me ^^.
My library is having a Asian Culture Festival, and I'm not really sure how it's going to go...but they have events listed. If you'd like, I could type it up and it might give you ideas...

because seeinga thread go to hell because of a few ppl's stupidity is unacceptable. a lil off topic is ok, you can see that cuz i go off topic with you, but when it becomes a "pipp hater fest" all over again, i will kill.

i see, yeah i don't get why people bash pipp, pipp is and i will defend her like there is no tomorrow.
back on topic, maybe you can get a band to play some anime songs

I don't reccomend having Jrock/pop blasting through speakers. You have to remember majority of people are ignorant, and will most probably flame the music. Don't make it so "japanese" orientated aswell... if you want to get food? Don't just limit yourself to jap snacks, be more diverse and get a variety of things.

last i checked the idea was a japanese themed event, so jpop/jrock is what the public wants. im sure that if the people who showed up didnt like it, they would leave, seeing as its like a little tokyo experience.

well that means that j-pop/j-rock is fine becuase it is a free for all event but it doesn't have to stay with j-rock/j-pop it can just be music from all over then.
