Club Bleach Role Playing Announcement

The much heralded and long-awaited Club Bleach RPG is finally ready to start. From the 27th of August, battle will commence across Club Bleach's Roleplaying Section (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=104).

The RPG has an all-new storyline but is set in the Bleach world. It features a dice-based battle system, meaning players can give all that they've got in combat without fear of "godmodding", but it still allows traditional freeform roleplay.

Your character can be a Shinigami, Hollow, or a Renegade Shinigami.

Be sure to check it out, this is one of the biggest events in the history of Club Beach, and it promises fun for everyone. If you have any further questions or need help in creating your character, PM any of the RPG Gamesmasters who will be happy to help you :)

I just played my first battle as part of this RPG, and I can safely say that it was great fun. It takes about 30 mins to get to grips with the rules (which I did while battling), and after that you are ready for anything the RPG throws at you. I'm playing as a Hollow and hoping to see more Hollow players =D As well as more Shinigami. Even if you haven't RPed before, this is worth checking out.

(I'm a GM but I decided just to play as an ordinary Level 1 character - it's more fun like that IMO.)

i had never played a D&D RP before and i have to agree with maxi, its freaking awesome and doesnt take long to get into it. the rules obviously have to be learnt but after your first fight you shouldnt have any problems with the gameplay :D

Indeed, it is a unique and excellent battle system. Simple, yet innovative.

We have recently appointed 2 project leaders (Hattori and itsovernow) to speed up decisions and the rule making process.

My first D&D RPG also =P. It's really fun and addictive, the battle system can be confusing at times, but after you've read the rules and had a practice match, you'll get the jist of it. We need more players O_O especially Hollow characters since almost everyone's a shinigami or renegade shinigami besides maxi. Oh and recently shikai abilities were released some were derived directly from bleach itself including Byakuya's 1000 cherry blossoms even though it's a bankai/ Matsumoto's Ash Cat, and Kira's shikai that doubles the weight of everything it hits. OMG I THINK I'M GOING TO PLAY SOME MORE RITE NOW ^_^.

lol battling is the main problem imo. i want to start doing training battles with people...that have no benefits or consequences

We should start something for new players so they can learn to play... like a training "class" with some GM's or something, allow a few players into the class and they basically RP some stuff then battle, I know it helped me to battle with a gm and some other new players.

I did it with Z_blitz...he seems to have a good understanding of the battle system now.

Yeah I do. Its a bit complicated if you just read through the rules, but it a lot easier and more fun to do if you go through a training battle with someone experienced. Prof used some predetermined builds for our battle so there's no need to have people use their own custom-made characters without understanding the extent of the game itself :).
