What is mirc?

Agreed. Though if you're used to bittorent then you'll probably find irc's speed a bit annoying.

mirc is an internet relay chatroom where alot of anime/manga groups share/host their files...like #manga-rain, the group that scanlates Bleach, has their own channel (chatroom thing) in IRC where they talk about bleach and share bleach manga files there... I think mIRC takes a little getting used to since the commands are kinda confusing... what are u looking for in mirc? manga/anime/anything?

Also keep in mind that mIRC channels often have rather harsh admins/mods... sometimes when u ask a *stupid* question in mirc u can get kicked/banned... im pretty 'new' to mirc too but if u post here i'm sure lots of CB memebers (me inclusive) are glad to help u out w/ specifics ;)

you log on to a server and then you go into channels, ie. chatrooms.

mIRC just like another chatting programme just need to connect a server and join channels just like what Kenta say,but also have other purpose like downloading things

i guess if u know the channel names and what they host, it's a more direct way of leeching/sharing files between individual users and the seeders :)

Well, if it's manga you do not wait more than 5 min. (I have never waited before.) But if it 's anime then you might have to wait lil' bit, still it's better than torrent sometimes.
