Hate it. Flat out. watched three episodes, couldn't stand it. Plus, two friendships of mine have been ruined thanks to the series. nah, if that's your opinion then that's kool. but honestly, i recommend u stick to the anime for a good amount of time. after that, u may grow to appreciate it.

As for me, i can't wait for manga 245. I think the series decreased a bit for a while but it's picking back up now, so that's good

My mates kept on talking about it at school soo I decided to see what the fuss was about my mate brang some of his Naruto cd's over and we watched like 5 eps straight. I liked it alot and ever since I have been a fan of Naruto and now I have gotten interested in downloading more and more different anime that I am running out of space on my hardrive and my addiction to Naruto got me interested in Bleach. Definately one of the best animes I have seen.

oh yeah this is a very good series.. Watched it a long time. since june or something.. I've seen all the anime eps released and the manga as well. And i just can't wait for chapter 245.. The first 3 eps are shit, It literally gets good after #3 (First one is intro ep, Second intros Konohamaru the annoying little shit responsible for a bunch of filler eps, third introduces the other Genin of the Leaf) ep 4 is where it gets good, Kakashi trains Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura and then we get to meet the big ol' bad guy, Zabuza (easily one of the best Naruto characters) and Haku.
I pretty much love Naruto, You would probally call me a Narutard...
And btw, If your friends stopped being your friends because you don't like an anime they like, There not exactly great friends...

Oh and @ above poster: I agree, Naruto is getting pretty damn good now we're finnaly finished with the damn 5 ep filler. And the Kakashi Gaiden is only 5 Chapters long? Damn, I was starting to enjoy it, But Naruto and the others 3 years older and with all the training, is going to be so awesome. (I wonder if we'll be watching the Sannin Battle all over again but with Sasuke and Sakura)

Oh, and if you've been reading Manga did you see the stuff with the Akatsuki members? looks like Uchiha Itachi is going to make a Comeback with Kisame! Those 2 are easily my fav Naruto characters, I can't wait to see if they fight Orochimaru-Sama.

I love Naruto as well. It's currently my 3rd-favorite series, surpassing even Bleach (and I like Bleach a LOT). The manga is better than the anime, I think, but the anime does reproduce the manga quite faithfully (altho those holes in Neji were a LOT bigger in the manga). I've heard people whine about the number of flashbacks...I don't care, it's good background, and after 117 episodes, you lose a lot of what happened in the very early series. So it's always good for a reminder, or an insight on a character's past. And yes, the series DOES get better after the first 3 episodes. Especially in the mid-twenties, it's all uphill from there until about episode 80, where it slows down a bit until 107.

As for what's happening in chapter 245, I still think they're gonna fast-forward 3 years. I can't wait to see what all the characters are like, or what relationships have formed (yeah, I'm a sucker for anime character relationships Xp), or what new abilities the characters have

Yeah i agree the Manga is better than the Anime but the anime isnt bad, i stopped watching the anime because i felt they wasted alot of time in the episodes. I just recently started watching from 110 to see how the Anime shows the five-man-team battle against Orichimarus henchmen and to see my favourite character Neji (he's been my favourite since the genin battles) duke it out with the spider guy(i know his name but cant recall it) and my, what a fight it was. Neji proves why he is a genius.

And Jan 31st for chapter 245 --OMG--, what a cruel world. :'(

I find the Naruto anime was beginning to get bogged down by fullers and i would prefer the manga because it is more direct from the source, while the anime has some editing done on it. I think that the anime is filled with so many fullers is because the anime progression was to great comparitavely for the manga so they had to fill the anime with fullers to give the manga time to ensure that it's ahead of the anime. To me, the height of the whole series was the chuunin exams. The plot for the fights were great and the fights themselves were wonderful. I find that the Naruto Sauke fight was to dragonballz-ish and was mostly only increases in power level straight through the match. I didn't get the feel of any real substance presented in that fight. To me, the Zabuza arc was filled with great plot which kept ppl in suspense. The whole Haku and Zabuza fights were filled with depth and there were many twists. I don't like fights to only be action. What makes a good fight to me is a good combo of plot and action simultaneously. The next best fight in the series if it's not on par with the Zabuza fights was the Gaara, Rock lee fight. After that would probably be the whole kimimaro arc and his fight. The fight between Naruto and Gaara and the sennins fight was decent but i don't think they were comparable. A very interesting fight that i almost forgot and that a lot of ppl normally forget is the Sarutobi Orochimaru fight. That fight would probably be top ranking for me too. It was just simply fun and suspenful. Those chapters seemed like the longest chaps. for me.
From what i've heard before, Kishimoto doesn't have a set plot for the Naruto series and thus it could've been expected for his ideas to get rusty and the series decline. But since he has postponed the release of the manga, I hope he has had time to gather his thoughts and ideas and pick up the slack in the series. I must admit however that the Kakashi story is pretty interesting and it looks like he has already begun to pick up on that slack.

For an anime that runs for so long episode wise, ofcourse there will be perahsp some "not so exciting" episodes. This is only expected, however there are alot of great scenes coming up. Such as kimimaro and ofcourse the kakashi flashbacks aswell as many others.

1. No more fake Naruto is licensed rumours and fan going crazy on the forums cause of them.
2. I dont even watch dubbed animes anymore. If one does show up on tv, I change the channel.
3. Theres nothing that we should worry about anyways, aone subs licensed animes all the time, and dattebayo has subbed a couple licensed animes when they were still anime-heaven. Plus with the largest internet fanbase of any anime, I can't see how Naruto will go on unfansubbed.
4. Because I'm evil and like to see ppl cringe. :)

Its about a Ninja called Naruto and its mainly about his quest of becoming a Hokage but there are many things he must deal with along the way to make that happen. He does this because he wants everyone to acknowledge him and his strength because he never had any parents. Anime is allways better for me :winking56.

The Manga is about 100X better the anime completely took all the Coolness out of Kimimaro and basicly took out the reason that Orochimaru wanted him :eek13:

and Viz was probably one of the best Dubber out of all of them (Bandai being another one) they almost always keep as much of the japanese Names as possable and released unedited DVDs with English and Japanese Subs

(heck when Ranma was on VHS only they released Subbed VHS tapes :musak: )

the only problem is that Viz's DVDs are a little more expencive (mostly $29.99)

(BTW I have all 7 seasons of Ranma 1/2 on DVD and they did a really good Job)

and for Toonami you would be suprised what they didnt edit out in the later DBZ eps so pretty much they edited out the Blood Spurts but left most of the blood as long as it wasnt driping but I have a Feeling that Sexy-No-Jutsu wont make it intact It will probably be like in Narutimett Hero 2 a skin colored Bathing suit

i totally agree, that's why i get pissed off, especially now that every episode seems to have a flashback so the episode ends with nothing being resolved. It takes forever to see one fight. Me and my friends call the flashbacks "the five minutes of gayness" since they always pick a mushy moment where two guys get all sensitive and when they return to the present the character is almost at tears or with a stupid smile on his face.

Naruto is one of my favorite animes and manga, as for it being licensed it sucks for me because I won't be able to see it unless YTV puts it up. The only problem with that is that it took a long time to get Inu-Yasha on YTV so I'm assuming the same for Naruto if it even gets on YTV... oh well doesn't matter too much to me, I'm assuming listening to the japanese voices and reading the subs would be better then listening to an English VA try to do Naruto...

yeah it sucks, heard it was gonna be licensed around the summer & airing on cartoon network. As for watching the english version, I think I'm gonna watch it just to see how funny it comes (like what they're gonna change their names into & stuff like that) out compared to the original version.

98% of stuff in the Manga is in the anime. The anime adds a bunch of extra stuff to it though, which bogs it down, and gives some people the wring impression of what is going on. (I.E. Orochimaru summoning the 4th Hokage)

The english version is fiarly well done for a dub. just remember, if you watched the Japanese version first, you will not like the english voices as much. you mind becomes accustomed to seeing certain people with certain voices, and doesn't like change.

true..i watched the subs to much, but the dubs are alright.

the anime sometimes leaves out little cool scenes, like naruto fighting kakashi dummy, naruto using sexy no jutsu to take out the hokage and take the scroll, trying to peek under kakashi's match with zabuza, etc....

the fillers are pretty bad as well...
