Can A Vice-Captain be beaten by 3th seat?

Yes of course.. I guess this is also how Captains are being chosen.. They go Rank by rank depend on your power and skills.. And of course.. Bankai..

It also depends on which division the 3rd seat is from...and whom the captain is.

If the 3rd seat from 4th is taking on someone like Zaraki in the real world i doubt the 3rd seat would win.

Matsumoto would probably lose, unless she has bankai and hasn't told anyone, plus, 11th division members are stronger than the average shinigami, i mean Yumichika, who has the 5th seat, beat Toussen's VC without a scratch, and 4th division members are specialized in healing, so they wouldn't be that dangerous either, and probably the 12th too, since they're specialized in R&D

Yeah it depends entirely on who it is that's fighting. Like for example if Isane fought with Ikkaku, I have no doubt Isane would be humiliated.

We brought up the subject that it would all depend on which division the 3rd seat was from and which division the captain was from.

*SPOILER* ok not sure if this is correct but i think i read in the manga that ikaku aka bald guy was supose to be captin or sutmhing be he refused becuz he wanted to stay in zarakis squad and be his soilder or sumthing like that.and he already has bankai(wich looks freakin cool).

The 3rd of 5th seat would have to train hard enough and work up the ranks. Thats how captains comeabout in the first place.

the ikkaku and yumichika is simply...they are both on VC level but refuse to take higher rank. ikkaku doesnt want to become a VC because if he does that mean he will have transfer to another division, which he doesnt want to do because he wants to continue to serve under Zaraki. yumichikais the same in a way he didn't like the 4 or 2(which is VC rank) because he felt they were ugly and he wanted the title of 3rd because it was beautiful but ikkaku had so he chose the closet # in resemblence 5.

I wouldn't be too sure about 4th division's higher ups. They take a lot of flack to survive being in that squad long enough to make the higher ranks. Sure Hanatarou is a pussy in boots, but Kotetsu Isane is a very potent fighter, and Unahana's Shikai or Bankai, (Whatever that glob is) that can restore beyond what the normal bounds are, probably has an equal capacity to snuff life out. (If that flying blob is her Shikai form, then her Bankai is probably something to be reckoned with. Nobody persists for very long after upseting Unahana.) So the Captain, and 2nd seat in 4th squad are above average at least. But I doubt they have as potent a 3rd seat, so that's all moot isn't it? 12th division probably has a potent 3rd seat, but it's potency in combat is probably less than it's potency in the lab. 1st squad seems to be mysterious in it's duty. With the Captain being incredibly potent, and the Vice Captain, who is as of yet unnamed, most likely being of captain level, The 3rd seat in 1st squad is probably on par with a 2nd seat.

Well if you read the manga, you would learn from Yumichika that some people just get their seat because it is "pretty". So some of those 3rd seaters could probably beat a VC.

Im sure some 3rd seats could beat a VC, like 11 th divisions 5th seat could probably beat most of the VC, Maybe even a captain, he kept his Shikai a secret from everyone maybe he has a Bankai even though i doubt it. But imagine what his bankai would be he probably has one of the most lethal shikai i bet his bankai would kick ass

it is possible......ikkaku did achieve a kickass bankai in the manga, and hes a 3rd seat of zarakis squad..so yes it is possible for a 3rd seat to defeat a captain

A Vice-Captain by a 3rd Seat? of course, since Vice-captains don't always have Bankai, the gap between the 3rd seat power and the VC power is not so great, since they both have acheived Shikai.
