I break my guard, sprinting towards you, using shunpo every few steps, traversing the ground between us with alarming speed. At a metre from you, I perform a final shunpo, re-materialising behind you, and swinging my zanpakutou upwards at your spine in an attempt to dis-able you.

I cry out in pain and surprise as your blade pierces my back and I drop to one knee, drained by the shock of your attack, and find myself unable to retaliate...
Taking advantage of your momentary immobility, I jump into the air, arcing into an elegant forward flip. My zanpakutou glows a bright white as I drop backwards towards the ground and, with as much force as possible, I drive it towards your unprotected body, its speed increased by the reiatsu flowing through it.

Asuka's attack was far too fast for me to get out of the way completely, but I darted to one side, meaning that her blade ripped through my shoulder rather than my chest. I did my best to keep my balance and ignore the pain.
I sped forward, and aimed a flurry of snake jabs at her upper body...

I stumble backwards, surprised by your sudden recovery, and attempting feebly to block some of your weaker attacks. Finally, a snake jab lands on my neck, and I stumble, clutching a hand to my neck and presenting an obvious opening.

Reiatsu swirls around my body, focussing onto my arms. I draw a single kanji in the air. The spirit force swirling around me increases to even higher levels. I run towards you, swinging my leg up at your chin.

I shunpo behind you and, with my last remaining energy and spirit force, drive my fist into the back of your neck, sending you crashing to the ground.

There is no point in rolling my save, because even if I pass, I'm out cold.
I barely feel the final blow, my body overcome with numbness and exhaustion. I drop to my knees, and manage a weak smile.
"Nice moves"
My vision fades, and I slump to the floor...
I smile and stagger away from you, covered in bruises, but confident in the knowledge that I have beaten my main rival in the art of Hohou, Yamashita Miharu.
*OOC: really great battle, vampy, really close =D. I was sooo lucky with my save near the end, otherwise you would definitely have won.*
