Yeah you are right there is 2 but the one you have is the whole series of Cowboy Bebop + Perfect Sessions DVD. The Boxset I am going to get has room for the Cowboy Bebop movie and the Perfect Sessions DVD and has the whole Cowboy Bebop series. What is soo good about the Perfect Sessions DVD? Isn't it like the same eps?

There is no different really, expect the fact that The Perfect Sessions dvd boxset is a collector's item($$).

I thought everything was good, then again you're talking to a person who owns The Perfect Sessions boxset, The Movie, and Best Sessions.

Haha yes good point... Well it's sort of a cool Idea having the best eps on 1 DVD and also is it remixed or something with Dolby Digital 5.1 for better sound, I heard about that somewhere on a site but I can't remember which one. What more could a big fan of Cowboy Bebop want?.

You're right with 5.1 Dobly 5.1, it sounds good, and to answer your question about what more could a Cowboy Bebop fan want? How about a Playstation 2 game... Wait it's being done >=)

I got the whole series in a boxset today!!!, I was so happy my first ever anime DVD's/Boxset. I sat down and watched the first DVD which had eps 1-5, man it was good!!! awesome dubbing, I heard the Japanese sub but the English dub sound's way better, I can definately see why this is one of the best anime of all time... I dont want to watch it all in one night so I'll watch one DVD each night. :winking56

This Anime rocks, I give it 10/10. I finnished watching the whole series yesterday and the ending was very sad.
The characters are very cool and you can interact with them very easy the graphics are as good as they can come nowdays, the story is very good in 26 episodes you learn quite a bit about each of the character's past. The music is great, Cowboy Bebop really likes it's sound track and often hear all different types of music. This is Anime is awesome for those who haven't seen it I recommend you do it ASAP, you don't know Anime until you see Cowboy Bebop. :winking56

The ending of it was sad, Spike was a great character. I reckon a sequal could have been possible if Lin (or was it Shin, one of the two) hadn't died, I would have watched it.
I'll miss having new episodes. One day, there might be a sequal, but I doubt it.

Yeah I totally agree with you Spike is awesome with his Bruce Lee style kung-fu and awesome skills with Guns and flying his spaceship. Edward is the funniest character, she is crazy. I would have loved to see a sequel of Cowboy Bebop, 26 eps is just soo short for a great series like this.

Rumor has it they're starting up the creation process for a new Bebop series, based off Cain Kuga's Doujinshi. Ya know, that alternate telling of Bebop called "Shooting Star".
Oh god I hope it's true.

Yes, there's a manga they made around the time bebop was released in Japan. only two volumes (bebop was cancelled after Jupiter Jazz part 2 due to the later episodes being too graphic, but was continued later on an alternate station). During it's first air (Episode 1 to Jupiter Jazz pt.2) it wasn't popular at all, so they scrapped Kuga's manga
In short, her manga is a retelling of bebop, her way (it just got cancelled before it got anywhere). It's actually pretty cool, and has a new baddie. Plus her at is awesome XD
Also, Shooting Star was the name of her manga.
Uzumaki-Kun
01-22-2005, 06:54 AM
So basically your saying Bebop was based on Kuga's manga "Shooting Star" and wasn't popular Anime so the Anime production company made the eps differently from the Manga and called it Cowboy Bebop?
hasuke
01-22-2005, 07:53 PM
No. Cowboy Bebop (The original Anime we see on Adult swim) came first. They had Cain Kuga make her manga because they though it would have potential, seeing as the first episode of bebop had high ratings.
But as bebop went on it didn't get any more high ratings, so they had to scrap her manga.
Her story is just retelling bebop her way. Like a "professional fanfic". What I was saying is since Cowboy Bebop ended and has so much popularity in America and Japan now, they're contemplating on making a series based off Kuga's manga.
Timeline wise, it went like this:
Cowboy Bebop was released, around midway through it's airing Kuga released her manga, Bebop was cancelled off the cable station, Kuga's manga got cancelled due to Cowboy Bebop's lack of popularity, Bebop was picked up by a satelite station and resumed air after the episode "Jupiter Jazz Part 2", Bebop became more popular.
My friend vaguely explained it, I'm sure some Bebop sites have info on this. Point in case, the manga is just a "retelling" of the anime with a different story by a different artist.

I already know what happens in the end. :) and Gantz is different because they killed the main character but it keeps on going. In Bebop the main character doesn't die until the end. and that's not that unusual

Oh, i've got way more than 5...
rae, that's not what i meant about gantz. i meant the famous scene of cowboy bebop, where in the end he aims at the people with his finger and says "bang." if you re-watched the last 20 seconds of gantz, you'd know what i meant.
if i ever saw the last episode of an anime first, i wouldnt be able to watch the rest, since i cant stand spoilers. i even skip the previews at the end of animes. D:
The creator of Cowboy Bebop said he never said Spike is dead, so he could be either. He doesn't "know" whether he is himself.

^ TBH the movie sounds promising, esp since the series wasn't the type to rely on supernatural powers and other imaginary stuff like that. Shouldn't be too hard to make a space ship and the like, esp with the advancements in CG that we have today.

Never watched it nor did i know what it was till now but you're still missing the point; Bebob's setting is one of the most realistic I've ever seen so making a movie of it shouldn't be hard to accomplish. It's like Star Wars but with a plot that's actually entertaining.
And no matter how phail you think said movie was I bet it doesn't beat Fist of the North Star Live-Action Movie

If there was a Guinness book of records for epic phails in animation reenactment then you'd have to try really hard to even compare to this.
I liked what happened right after the end of Cowboy Bebop. They timed the credits to the ending theme used in the episode (which is one of my favorites off the soundtracks), and they pan up into the stars, but they keep going and going, and it wasn't a generic star field, after a while there are planets and a Gate slides by (then it finally returns to the sketch-style still of Spike at the very end).
I thought the long panning really framed the show within the larger context of the Cowboy Bebop universe. We'd been with the characters (or Spike and Jet at least) throughout the entire show and you grow attached to them, but when the show ends it's really just the story of the end of one bounty hunter, and life goes on in a universe that works like a space age Old West: people die like that all the time, and he is soon forgotten. I think Laughing Bull (the Indian on Mars) was added to the show to point out the "insignificance of man" theme as well in the show.
