I love drifting. Disobeying the laws of grip while still adhering to them in the hopes that your tires hold out and you don't spin and crash. The bombardment of sideward g-forces acting upon your body as the car whips into a violent drift. Whether you're the driver, passenger, or the spectator, the motorsport of drifting has captivated many.

What do you think about it?

I think its fun to watch and do. I tried doing it before but my car control was that good and I spun out. I watch Drifting all the tome on g4. My favorite is Ken Gushi

I don't really know much about the sport. But I do watch those shows on G4 about drifting races. It seems like a pretty intense sport that requires alot of skill and practice. Plus they always have super hot Asian chicks as spokes models, So it's definately something I would like to go to in person some day.

It looks really fun, and it certainly looks cool. I'm too scared to crash my car though (I have 2 years left to pay on it, and insurance rates) to actually try it.

But really... I doubt I could drift with a Ford Focus.

Well, if anything, you could drift it. It just takes careful acceleration and generous amounts of handbraking.

My favorite drifters are Nobuteru Taniguchi and Yasuyuki Kazama. They just seem to do what no others can. Taniguchi is a fusion of drifting and track racing god, while Kazama is a god-like drifter fused with a clown, a good clown, at that.

It does take a lot of skill. It's a challenge to keep the car in the slide but out of a spin. It's all about balance. And yes, it always has HOT ASIAN GIRLS. HOT HOT HOT.

I really wanna see drifting at a Formula D or D1 Grand Prix Event. The level of excitement just seems killer and I really wanna see my heroes do their thing in real life

Oversteer is okay, e-braking or handbraking is the true drifting, the fact that you have to accelerate when e-braking gives off the effect. But your tires get f-ed up and you may crash and burn =/

Only thing closet to drifting Ive ever watched is Initial D. xD

But the things they talk about in Initial D, is it pretty close or like what they say true? I don't remember, it was a long time ago, but I heard FF cars cant drift. Don't hurt me. xD (maybe they cant get sideways as well? but they can somewhat drift?) Dont know it its true or not.

I should go on youtube and watch some videos of pro's drifting... right... about... now!

Haha, here's a drifting video on bikes, really cool
Bike drift vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcgruH7VvwU).

Yeah, the closest thing I ever got to drifting is Initial D (those were the days. I wonder if I am any good at the game anymore).

People can get stupid about the FF drifting thing. I say they can, others say they don't. But it all comes down to how well you do it. It doesn't matter how you drift, just do it and don't complain, I say.

I like oversteer and e-brake, but my favorite is a feint initiation or clutch kick. I can't get the clutch kick though. I usually over rev.

So, I didn't know that drifting was so technical and there were actually professional drifters. It's pretty cool. As for me, I have drifted before in a minivan! It was only for a few seconds, but it was soooo totally awesome. And then my mom freaked and I was grounded from driving for a week (I only have a permit so I can't drive unless a parent is in the car). It won't stop me though! I'm gonna have ssssoooo much fun!

When I get my liscence I will drift. I love going to watch the races at Chelsea Bridge at every last friday of summer. They are amazing. They have nitrous injected in them.

All i know about the sport of drifting is that it took a heavy hit when Fast and Furious came out.
Causing the posers to rice up mom's 4 door honda and take it for a spin in the local parking lot.
