What is new on CB?

Well I think by now we've all noticed the new functions and skins which have been added to CB, not to mention other little details that only make our lives easier in so far as navigating the forums go. According to DragonBlade we have more awesome skins on the way, so look forward to those ;) The newly added skins can be found on the left side at the bottom of the screen. Current choices include Bleach Fun, Dark, Jiggly Puff and Tempo, each one adding a new twist to the way we see our favorite Forum, so play around and see which one suits your style.

As for the functions, a few come to mind… One of which being the Reputation system. DB has informed me that it is finally up and ready to go! It has however replaced the post count function. “I’ve removed the post count because it is not necessary for this forum. I left reputation so the users can still have some form of a status.” Says DragonBlade. "Its fixed, so go rep now :D"

But what is the reputation system? How does it work? Well, If you read someone's post and you like or dislike it then you can rep them for it...with a reason clarifying the reason for your reputation reward of course. But it comes with a warning: “If we find out the rep system is being abused, this will lead to a rep reset for the abuser,” Sandal Hat clarifies. “If it happens more often, we will simply disable your rep and the possibility for you to rep people.” (For more information on just how exactly the Reputation system works, click here (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showpost.php?p=725170&postcount=3).)

How does one do it? It is very easy, you simply click the white scale beneath the person you want to rep's avatar and then you choose wither you disapprove of the post or approve with a reason why, and you will rep them for a certain amount of points. :)

Another function is the /.you and /.me function without the(.) that is. I think most of you should know it by now... For those of you who don't, it's simple: when you type /.me minus the (.), YOUR name will be typed instead for example: *Sanzora is showing now*. On the other hand when you type the /.you, anyone reading your /.you will read her/his name. For example: /you is still showing now. I Hope you now understand why your name is included in so many people's sigs! Of course the /.you function is very popular, that's why a lot of people use it in their sigs, mostly to advertise for their Divs. It caused a lot of funny reactions at first especially amongst newbies, for example this post:

Lol, any comment on whether or not i could?
I know i don't really have what the rules say that i need, but your sig does say that you want me to join...
The Role Playing Section is now up and running too! Where there was previously organized chaos, you can now find a well produced and effectively run Role Playing Game. Role Players may now enjoy their game to the fullest with a now (almost) fully functional facility made especially to accommodate them. Apparently there are still a few more modifications that Maximoose666 is waiting for from DB to allow the game to run at it’s maximum, but we are assured that these are also on DB’s ‘to-do’ list, so all shall be done in time.

So that’s just a few of the improvements that the Club Bleach Forums are going through, and it all thanks to our awesome admins who make sure to keep CB on the top of all other forums. What Else does DB have Planned? “Not sure what I'm going to do next, probably add more plugins like the Warn meter and need to fix the bugs that appear on other skins.” Sounds good. :D So be sure to keep your eyes peeled so as not to be surprised by what might happen next.

*If you have any suggestions you would like to make about anything in CB, be sure to post your ideas in the Suggestions Thread (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=11806).

CB Subscription Drive

Anyone seen the Google Ad banners added to the top of the forums page? They arrived a few days ago. Lunatic, an admin in CB, has announced that those ad banners were added because The Club Bleach's vBulletin subscription is going to end on September 30th. This means after September 30th the forums script won't be upgraded… When I asked him to explain more about how these Google ad banners are going to help, his answer was simple: 'Ad banners have been added to help pay for the new subscription for Club Bleach. The cost of a new subscription is $160 for 1 year. The current subscription we have is technically not CB's so we need to buy our own for a new year.' In short, no vBulletin subscription, no CB!

As a complete n00b in these matters I asked lunatic to elaborate as to how the forums will benefit from this. 'A new subscription for vBulletin will allow us to further upgrade the forums core script as the company continues to release new versions of the vB script,” he tells me. “This can vary from faster loading, to more features and so many different things.'

So what can we as members do to help in this? Actually, our part is very easy. Everyone can help out! We simply click on the ad banners every day, once a day. The administrators are aiming for around 100-200 unique clicks of the banners every day. When someone clicks the ad, money is generated. Click it again though, and nothing will happen due to your individual unique click already being registered. Now, if you… say… tell your friend to click it, even more money will bw generated. The more clicks we get the better and faster we can raise the money for the new CB subscription on vBulletin.

SO if you want CB to continue growing to become better and better, all you have to do is click the banner! So what are you waiting for? How about scrolling up now to the ad banners and clicking it once? Then you can continue reading

Meet the Mods

Z_Blitz, PROPHECY424, Rising Phoenix, Itsovernow, SLVR, Tofumaster00 and Sacred-Kun ... These names sound familiar? They should. These are just some of the new and old moderators that happen to grace this wonderful forum of ours with their presence. These individuals, through cunning, deceit, sexual favors, money and just plain luck somehow came about their titles.

Z_Blitz was the general section mod up until about a month ago...Prophecy424 is the Bleach section mod. Rising Phoenix joins itsovernow in the Role Playing forums. SLVR as the kooky moderator of the randomness section. Young TofuMaster00 handles entertainment, and Sacred-kun keeps GFX going. They all revel in their new found power as manipulators of the forum and the mere mortals that traverse its crooked hallways and tireless chat rooms.

What do we feel that we ought to give these demi-gods as tribute to their awe-inspiring power? Well Z_Blitz merely wants people to consider their posts and where they're going with them. For him nothing is worse then a thread that one posts and then completely forgets about only to come back in a couple of weeks or so to find it either spammed to kingdom come and subsequently closed or so expansive that they have no hope of ever getting back into the thread as a opinionated figure. So for the love of all that is unholy and all that might belong to Unholy...Make sure that when you post a thread you occasionally check up on it ever now and then (just to make sure that it's still alive) and nurture it along the path that you originally envisioned for it.

Prophecy wants people to realize that the thread with the topic "Fillers Suck" and "When Do The Fillers End" have already only been done… oh… at least half a hundred times already! Each time the answer is the same. Use the god dam F*%K#@G Search function! Why make these immortals work if you can easily make them avoid such a thing by using this simple option in the beginning?

Rising Phoenix? Well now the RP section is something alien to me. I understand the principle of it but as far as I’m concerned it's a totally different universe to the rest of the forum. Which it should be. R.P. wants people to use their imagination to the fullest when posting in this section of the forum. Any single brain cell that you can spare, you should bend towards the task of imagining the universe in which you will partake. The rest of the users will follow your example and you'll have a much better playing experience! Don't just say you died. Throw some mental Coal into your imagination boiler and come up with something different. For example:

"The sun was setting in the far east, as the shadows slowly moved along the uneven ground of the savanna they came to rest upon the incoherent form of a still shinigami...Still clutching his sword in a death grip his clouding eyes betrayed his shock at the Hollow that had so casually torn asunder his unique soul from it's spirit body. Gasping painfully as the wound in his side spilled yet more of his life’s blood from it he quietly whispered the words 'I'm Sorry....I couldn't save you’. And upon that last breath with the words still trailing away with the wind the brave shinigami slowly slipped into the eternal slumber that is the final death'

If you manage to post something along the lines of this or better you can be sure that the whole RP section will flourish and bloom and the moderators such as R.P. will be enthralled and will be able to devout their entire attention to making more amazing quests for you to follow.

Itsovernow is sure to have the same opinion as that of RisingPhoenix, but another thing he'd like everyone to consider is the amount of work that the mods of that section actually put into getting it ready for people to play in. Not to mention that amount of time and effort which they have to continually extend into the game to maintain it, keep the quests up to date and GM the actual fights and quests. So please, respect them and follow their orders. Guys like Itsovernow have been chosen to moderate the section because they know how it’s done and they have shown themselves capable of doing such a thing.

Next: The Randomness Forum! That Kooky section in which hell has indeed frozen over and Lucifer has been frozen whilst fap fapping to the tortured image of Hitler... It is in this frozen wasteland that SLVR reigns supreme. A somewhat silent figure in his interview, SLVR managed nevertheless emphasize the subtly of the forum that he originally intended. He considers the place perfect and, apart from a few minor things, only wants people to consider the fact that a lot of people frequent his kingdom and he wants them to be mature. Sure it's a section in which your post count doesn't rise towards your ranking, but that doesn't mean you can spam the life out of it. It's like any other forum. Consider your posts and make sure that it's legible and that will be able to stand the test of time and the users that post in it.

Our second last moderator is Tofumaster00. This remarkable little lolicon manages the entertainment section of CB...she might be called our own child prodigy: young, a mod, and a captain. I fear that DragonBlade is raising her to become his right hand girl. Using her he will one day subject everyone to his brainwashing techniques with her cuteness as the centre of the whole fiasco! Anyway, Tofu states that she doesn't mind small posts if they're short and too the point. But should someone post a spam thread or post in her domain SLVR's hell will become unfrozen as the all mighty rivers of lava fuel Tofu’s transformation from cute, quiet, young, captain into the DAUGHTER OF THE HULK! Using her powers of moderation she'll smash spam threads and posts dealing out the appropriate punishment without hesitation... How do i know this to be true? I've been on the receiving end of it... She's scary. Seriously scary. I think she's got multiple personalities. So beware yee who would cross her path.

Finally we come to Sacred-kun, that illusive moderator in the GFX section...Usually found idling in the CB IRC channel this moderator uses his artistic skills of doom to make sure his intentions are upheld. What might his intentions and plans be for the GFX section? He plans on making the section more user friendly for people to be in. Namely by providing as much criticism to help people as he can in the CnC section, as well as maintaining the SOTW and ensuring it runs smoothly.

So these are the chosen mods that were lucky enough to be brought to everyone’s attention. Some might not be considered a Moderator per say, such as those in the Role Playing section. But rest assured, the job they’re doing is just as important as the rest of the Moderators’ jobs. So give them the appropriate respect and awe deserved to their status/

If you have any questions in any of the sections mentioned here, the mods are all wonderful people in their own right who would break a leg to help a user in need. So don't feel intimidated by their omnipotent nature. Rather stand up and ask the questions that you feel need to be asked. Make the posts and threads that you want to make as long as they follow the rules. For without the imagination and dedication of all the normal users these mods might as well just sit with nothing to do…

CBNL: Ok then, I'm just going to ask a few questions about your general view of CB. What persuaded you to join in the first place?
PYLAR: Well, I joined because I had been having fun at the BP site, and had made some friends. I knew that there was a big bunch of other people on the forums, so I decided to go ahead and join here too

CBNL: Sounds pretty good. Where abouts do you live then?
PYLAR: I live in the state of Kansas in the US.... its hillier than people have heard, I swear

CBNL: Hahahaha. I've never been to Kansas or America for that matter, so I wouldn't know. Anyway, since you're a member of Club Bleach, I presume you watch Bleach. If so, which do you prefer; the manga or the anime?
PYLAR: Currently? Manga. Definitely manga.

CBNL: What other anime/manga are you reading/watching at the moment, then?
PYLAR: Well, currently I am taking a class on anime through the theatre and film department... so it varies by the day. My guilty pleasure is Ouran though

CBNL: Ouran is pretty good. I watch it as well. May I ask what your real name is?
PYLAR: I'll give you the first one. Jessica, though I usually shorten it to Jes, since my last name is 13 letters long.

CBNL: Darned, and I thought I'd be able to get your full name. Ah well. Let's talk about your recent promotion to Supermod. Why do you think that DB chose you?
PYLAR: I believe it was my creativity, and my pestering ability. My role is to force everyone to vote on contests, and to think up new contests. Plus I am online an excessive amount.

CBNL: And I'm sure you're doing a great job at the moment. What was your first reaction when you found out that you were promoted?
PYLAR: I was shocked actually. It was not something I expected.

CBNL: I applied for Supermod myself, but obviously to no avail. Hahaha. Anyway congratualtions on your promotion. Let's move onto what parts of CB you actually enjoy.
PYLAR: lol. Thanks

CBNL: So then what do you enjoy most at CB?
PYLAR: I enjoy the people. Private jokes and the like. I am easily entertained. Gives me people to talk to when I'm at work lol

CBNL: *GASP* You're on CB at work? Hahahaha, well let's delve more into your personal life. What ethnicity are you then?
PYLAR: european and native american mutt... scott, english, cherokee, french. Basically "pale freckly brownhaired greeneyed"

CBNL: Wow, that's quite a mix.
PYLAR: yeah lol. nothing exciting though.

CBNL: Hahaha. You mentioned that you go to CB at work; where exactly do you work?
PYLAR: I work at the front desk of a residance hall at my university. Right now we have camps staying here, so I am in generally yelling at kids

CBNL: Hahaha, sounds rather fun. Have you got any hobbies that you do when you're not on CB?
PYLAR: I play video games some, read a lot. I also am going to be the assistant curator of the classics museum on our campus in the fall.

CBNL: Wow, sounds like a rather nice promotion there. Do you have a boyfriend?
PYLAR: nope.

CBNL: Any siblings then?
PYLAR: I have a 15 year old brother

CBNL: Ah right. Do you two get along?
PYLAR: sometimes. Much better now than when we were younger

CBNL: Well most siblings usually get off on the wrong foot. Are you religious in any way?
PYLAR: nope.

CBNL: Well then, as a final question; do you have any plans for the future?
PYLAR: well, what kind of plans?

CBNL: Aspirations or any goals ahead in life.
PYLAR: Well, I plan on going to get a master's in Librarian Science. My hope is to be able to travel a lot more, and work with ancient documents. See, I'm a geek in multiple ways

CBNL: And I wish you luck in trying to achieve that. Any last thing you want to add?
PYLAR: That presents are always welcome?

CBNL: Hahahaha, and that concludes our interview.

Ok so this one's done a little differently... Take three CBNL reporters, throw them in one room with a poor unsuspecting interviewee, and this is what happens:

CBNL #1: Let's start off with a question everyone asks; why did you join in the first place?
Hinamori-Chan: Because I love forums and I didn't have a life. It was like "OH SNAPS! BLEACH?! THE FORUM?!"
"HELL YES."
"Lets mac on some *****es."

CBNL #1: You used to hang out in the Convo thread v.4, like, 24/7. Now, tell us your favorite parts in there.
Hinamori-Chan: My favorite part was when Mizu pimp slapped me with her fist of justice. Damn. I'm hyper. MY FAVORITE PARTS OF V4. Umm... I liked it from when I started talking in there to the end.

CBNL #1: Now that we know you have a life outside of CB (hahahaha), what's your favorite hangout spot with your friends?
Hinamori-Chan: We like to hang out in my friend, which we nicknamed MANCREAM'S (LOLOLOLOLOLOL Inside joke, homies), car. We get really crazy and loud and it's also very relaxing and we like to make Native American noises when the windows are rolled down.

CBNL #1: Hahaha. Favourite H series?
Hinamori-Chan: Ooh. That's a toughy.
CBNL #2: Kana= ;_;!!!!!
CBNL #1: That's a game you ponce!
CBNL #2: PFFFT. It's still, ";_;!!!!"
Hinamori-Chan: No Surface Moon? Black Bible New testimate (LOLOLOL)?
CBNL #1: BIBLE BLACK! So you're a futanari addict then.

CBNL #2: Next question. What do you usually have on your hamburgers?
CBNL #1: Ham?
CBNL #3: Dude. Did you SERIOUSLY just say that?
Hinamori-Chan: HAHAHAHAHA.
CBNL #1: Of course I did
Hinamori-Chan: NICE RABID.
CBNL #2: Pwnage.

CBNL #2: 'Aight, back to the interview. What do you like on your hamburgers? OTHER THAN HAM.
CBNL #1: Burger!
CBNL #2: And...burger.
Hinamori-Chan: A patty. Babies. Vagina. Testicles. You know, the normal ingredients on a hamburger.
CBNL #3: Asians eat dog.
Hinamori-Chan: I eat Asians who eat Asians that eat dog. *****.
CBNL #3: Cannibalism. Have fun with the whole "blood poisoning" thing.
CBNL #1: I want to try some. Sounds all doggy.
Hinamori-Chan: Blood poisoning? Who gets poisoned by BLOOD.
CBNL #3: You get it from cannibalism.
Hinamori-Chan: What a failure. Lets continue with the interview.

CBNL #3: Do you think you're a picture whore? Why or why not?
Hinamori-Chan: Yes of course. Because... Because I whore at picture taking.
CBNL #3: I meant "why do you do it". Just for fun? For attention? For funny attention?
Hinamori-Chan: Just for fun I guess.
CBNL #2: Next question; what's your least favorite movie, and why did it SUCK so damn much?
Hinamori-Chan: Hrmm...Napolian Dynamite. Because."Sally come get your dinner. GOSH." That's my reason. "GOSHHH". The Sally thing.
CBNL #2: The llama was pwn. She should've been the main character.
Hinamori-Chan: Yes. The llama was the only good thing in the movie.
CBNL #2: Llamas are sexiness incarnate. Next question, anyone? I can't think of anything else. >_>
CBNL #2: asfjaedigeignrg
CBNL #2: *Stabs convo*

CBNL #1: If you were to make babies with a celebrity, who would it be?
Hinamori-Chan: It would be JACK and I'd over feed it and abuse it and throw it in a trashcan.Wait. The baby? Or the celebrity?
CBNL #2: I think he meant the celebrity.
Hinamori-Chan: The baby would be Jack if that's what he meant. But the Celebrity? Hrmm. Like. If I could ADOPT Jack, then that's what would happen.
CBNL #2: Hahaha.
Hinamori-Chan: I think I'd make babies with Pipp. Because she's famous. In my eyes, she's a star.
CBNL #1: They would be hawt babies.
CBNL #2:[/b] *Feels....celebrity-ish.* Damn straight they would.
Hinamori-Chan: And we could adopt Jack.
CBNL #2: And beat its ass.
Hinamori-Chan: And overfeed it.
CBNL #2: For fun.
Hinamori-Chan: And beat it. And throw it in a trashcan. Naked.
CBNL #2: And make it sleep in the fridge.
Hinamori-Chan: And hang it by the nipples.
CBNL #2: And shave them off.
CBNL #1: And suture its fanny shut.
CBNL #2: And poke its eyeballs with sticks.
CBNL #1: And fill it up with whipped cream.
CBNL #2 And leave it to the dingos.
CBNL #1: And pin its eyes open and make it watch the Naruto fillers, until it bleeds.
Hinamori-Chan: OK. Hahahaha. Enough. Yeah, my celebrity husband = Pipp. DREAMS CAN COME TRUE.
CBNL #2: ;_;!!!
CBNL #1: You must be the happiest shemale in the world.
CBNL #2: We'll ride off into the...e-sunset!
Hinamori-Chan: FOREVER. And abuse Jack. F'sho.

CBNL #1: Ok. Next. Favorite animal?
Hinamori-Chan: I think my favorite animal is...Pwnage/Rabid. Because he's a beast when he's in bed.
CBNL #1: Hey hey hey. One at a time, please.
CBNL #3: I'll register as the voice of dissention.

CBNL #2: Next question; favorite thread? Why?
Hinamori-Chan: My favorite thread isss....V4!
CBNL #1: Damn straight. It should be everyone's favourite thread. Ok. Next question:

What do you look for in a man?
Hinamori-Chan: Everything Marine is. LOL. I need to get him in there somewhere.
CBNL #1: Ahem, I said "man"… Just joking.

CBNL #1: Ok, what's your favorite food?
Hinamori-Chan: Cocks. Chicken is always good.

CBNL #1: Ever smoked?
Hinamori-Chan: HELL NO. Smoking is like licking ass.

CBNL #1: Hahaha. What's your view on the illegal immigrants taking up America's menial jobs?
Hinamori-Chan: Beaners? I eat beans for lunch.

CBNL #1: If you had a gun, what would be the first thing you'd shoot?
Hinamori-Chan: Jack. And Off. At the same time.
CBNL #1: Pure and simple. Ok then...next question.

What's the weirdest thing you can do with your body? And also list all of your favourite members of CB. And then give us some leaving words. And that's it.
Hinamori-Chan: Umm... I dunno what the weirdest thing I can do with my body is....And my favorites?
CBNL #1: Obviously that's me. *Is totally not conceited.*
Hinamori-Chan: Marine, Rabid, Pipp, and HitsyT.
CBNL #2: :doindadom
Hinamori-Chan: Final words? Hrmmm...I dunno what to say as my final words. >.>
CBNL #2: "You've not seen the last of me!"
Hinamori-Chan: "*****es, I'll be back."

Forum Review

Forum Review: Anime/Manga

Today we take a look at our wonderful forum that takes us to the other worlds like Bleach, but also a way away from it: the Manga/Anime forum! It’s an awesome place to find anything to do with your manga and animes outside of our usual CB forum fetish.

So you’re looking for an anime and don’t know where to find it? Thanks to the Anime Resources thread, your search is over! If there isn’t a place where you can get what you want already posted, then I’m sure someone here will be able to help you find what it is you’re looking for! Just post asking for advice, and someone more in the know is bound to respond. The same goes for the Manga Resources thread for all you non-motion picture fans. ;)

If, on the other hand, you’re an avid anime watcher and merely looking for something new, you could always read some reviews in the Anime/Manga Review thread, or just have a glance over what others’ opinions are on something you have already seen. If you disagree, don’t despair! Argue your point by opening a thread about it and describe, discuss and debate it to your heart’s content. All we ask is that you please don’t forget to search for existing threads first!

It’s also a wonderful place to just get to know your fellow anime-watchers better, remember the good old days, and a place to debate what might just happen if , by some bizarre circumstances of nature, one anime would ever meet or go up against another. (hmmm now wouldn’t that be amusing?)

Come on, come in and have a ball. That is after all one of the things that brought us here: Our shared love of anime. So be open minded, come browse around. You might just find yourself in the middle of a completely different anime experience that you never expected!

Ok, so we’re all into anime, right? Right. Well I don’t know about you guys, but sooner or later, I’d like to learn a little Japanese… there is always the obvious method of learning through profuse amounts of anime watching, and sure it has helped, but thank goodness for The "help on Japanese language" thread (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=4916), where anything you would like to know about Japanese may be asked and answered.

Ok, so now you’re learning to speak Japanese, great stuff! How bout finding a Japanese name for yourself? This you can do easily enough… Check out the Japanese Name Generator (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=8968&highlight=Japanese+generator)! Found in the Randomness section, this is a great way to toy around with Japanese translations for names for you, your friend, or that Zanpakutou you’ve been trying to come up with for the ‘If you had a Zanpakutou... (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=16755&highlight=zanpakutou)’ thread. :D

But speaking of names… how did you get your user name? We all have a story about why we chose the names we use on the forum, so why not share them in the ‘How'd you choose your username? (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=1450&highlight=meaning)’ thread. But it’s also nice to get to know everyone’s real name occasionally, so tell us at the ‘What's your name? (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=108&highlight=meaning)’ thread, and while you’re at it, how about finding out what your name means in ‘The meaning of your name (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=12726&highlight=meaning)’ thread.

Well, I seem to be linking a couple of different thoughts here, so why not throw another great and fun Randomness thread into the mix: ‘First thing that comes into your mind (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=2371)’! In the true fashion of Randomness, the thread is based on the simple concept of linking ideas by reading the post above you and posting (surprise surprise) the first thing to pop into your head!

Linking thoughts…thoughts… ideas… ideas for articles… linking articles… oh, right! Best get on with the rest of the Newsletter then! :p

Ask Steve The Llama

Devmastuh:What happens when we have the answers to your questions Steve? And do you have any questions to ask us?
Steve:I am always respectful to those that have the answers to my questions. Unfortunatly, I am too lazy to find out if you are skilled enough and smart enough to know the answers. Sorry.

vejitto3:Is my girlfriends cheating on me and what's a Llama?
Steve:Wow, with multiple girlfriends, I'm sure one of them is bound to be cheating on you! Law of probability man!
And too lazy to explain what a llama is, wikipedia and google are your friends.

Sanzo:Which Religious practice do you follow or believe in? What's the meaning of your name?
Steve:I've already answered the name one, but I am a devout Steveist.

VampyreLord:Steve, has anyone uncovered my top secret plans for world domination? If so, whom?
Steve:Me, of course. But I promise to tell your plans to no-one. And if you need any help with those pea soup recipies, lemme know.

Sakura no Hime:what's it like being a llama? How much of your wool would it take to make me a beanie?
Steve:Being a llama is delicious! And it would take about one skein of my wool, unless you have a giant head.

Critiques Corner

Bleach Anime Critique

BLEACH ANIME CRITIQUE?!?!?! Who would have ever guessed? I’m assuming most people have seen up to the end of the Soul Society Arc and stopped because of the fillers so I’lll be doing a critique on Bleach fillers.

“Filler”. When that word comes into mind, you think “Oh hell no. I’m not watching some crappy <fill in with words to your hearts content>”. Unlike Naruto fillers, Bleach fillers have an actual storyline going on. Where as in Naruto, in almost every episode, there is something new and random. Here is a brief overview of the Bleach’s filler story…

The filler story takes place in their hometown of Karakura City after Ichigo and gang’s return from Soul Society. Everything seemed to be back to normal. It was the end of summer and the start of a new school year. But before they knew it, a new threat came into town bringing them back into action! The Bounto. The Bounto are a special breed of humans who live an eternity. No matter how much time passes by, their physical appearances never change. The Bounto also have special abilities. The first one is the ability to acquire infinite strength by consuming living souls. But it is said that if a Bounto were to suck out numerous human souls, the great amount of energy would disrupt the atmosphere, as in the balance of the world would be destroyed. The second ability is the control over creatures called “Dolls”. Each “Doll” is unique to the owner and has a body and mind of its own.

The title “filler” brings many animes down 10 notches. But don’t let this title fool you. If you’re looking for some interesting fights and new abilities, give Bleach’s Bounto Arc a chance. I’m not much of a filler fan myself but as the fillers progress deeper into the storyline, it only gets much better.

Here is the top reason you should watch Bleach’s Bounto Arc:
#1 Reason for Guys - Matsumoto/Yoruichi/Kuukaku/Orihime
#1 Reason for Girls – Ichigo/Renji/Byakuya/Nova/Chad(lol no seriously)

LOL Ok seriously this time.
Here are a number of reasons you should watch Bleach’s Bounto Arc
[LIST] New Enemies and Their Abilities/Weapons/Skills
How the Bounto Were Created and Their Objectives (This is very interesting)
More Glimpses of Matsumoto’s Haineko
Bankai’s
Just to see your favorite characters in action

Here are some of my favorite scenes…

Ep 87 http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter87.jpg
Ep 88 http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter88.jpg
Ep 89http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter89.jpg
Ep 90 http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter90.jpg
Ep 91 http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter91.jpg
Ep 93 http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter93.jpg
Ep 94 http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Newsletter94.jpg

Episode 95 should be out by the time you finish reading this critique (I hope). Byakuya is supposed to be fighting the main villain. I can’t wait to see this epic battle! If you don’t want to watch the other previous episodes, watch this one at least. We all know that Byakuya’s zanpakutou is crazy! So sit down, relax and get another chance to see it Byakuya’s skills in action.

Nana Anime Critique

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/redxmaverick/Nana.jpg
Title: Nana
Jap. Kanji: ナナ
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Shoujo
Type: TV
Episodes: 50
Year: 2006 (05.04.2006 till ?)
Companies: Yazawa Ai, MADHOUSE, Nippon Television Network, Shueisha, VAP, NTV Music, avex group, BONES, Bandai

“I need your love~ I’m a broken rose~ Maichiru kanashimi YOUR SONG~ Ibasho nai kodoku na MY LIFE~ I need your love…:”

That is the opening song to Nana by ANNA inspi NANA called “Rose”. It’s a bit of Jpop and Jrock mixed together which makes the OPening song really catchy.

Nana is a story about two lovely girls who meet each other on a train to Tokyo. One girl is on her way to meet her boyfriend after he left her to study art and the other wants to become a professional musician and create a band called “Blast” in Tokyo where her boyfriend, Ren, is a famous guitarist in the popular band called “Trapnest”. What’s funny is that both girls share the same name… “Nana”. Both girls immediately become friends. But they never saw each other again after the train ride until they happened to cross paths once again while trying to search for an apartment in Tokyo. They eventually decided to live together. This is where the story takes off as their bond of friendship becomes stronger and they go through love and pain as they live together in Tokyo.

I’m not sure how many are into Shoujo/Drama/Romance animes but if you haven’t watched your first Drama/Romance anime, Nana would be a good choice to watch. Nana is just what it is. It’s Comedy, Romance and Drama. That’s how the story actually progresses. It starts off funny and it spreads throughout the show then the romance gets tossed in. (There are some semi-hentai scenes. You know its coming but you don’t actually see “it”.). It’s so funny because Komatsu Nana (the blonde one in the picture) is a person who “falls in love at first sight.” Too many times I have to say. Seeing how she falls in love with one guy then goes to another.

It’s quite amusing. When it hits to episode13-14, that’s where Drama drops its bomb. I won’t tell you what happened. Where would be the fun in that if I told you? But I’ll say one thing… you may call me a pansy…but I was one breathe away from crying in those episodes. It’s so sad yet makes you angry at the same time.

Personally, I like to watch Drama/Romance animes at night and when it’s quiet. The night time and quiet place gives you that atmosphere and mood when watching an anime genre like this. It makes the experience in watching Nana that much better. Watching animes at different times of the day gives a different feeling when watching different types and genres of anime. You should go and try it out sometime.

Right now I believe there are 19 episodes out so far by team sub Inuyasha 4Ever Fansubs & OpenSea Fanubs and also by another separate sub group Ureshii.

One last word about Nana… the Ending song is one of the best out there. “A Little Pain” by OLIVIA inspi REIRA. It’s so nice and lovely (in my opinion). After watching Episode 13-14, if you could, take a little time to listen and read the translation of the song. It’ll have that much more meaning after watching those episodes. That is how “A Little Pain” became of my favorite anime ED of all time. Well, with that said. Happy watching

“I’m Here Waiting For You~ Sakebitsudzukete~ Kitto kokoro wa tsunagu ito wo tagutteru~ Ano koro no watashi me wo samasu you ni~ NO NEED~ TO CRY~”.

Is Tag-Making a Form of Art?
Does one need a mind of considerable artistry to make online forum tags? If I were to ask the artists down at the local art gallery, I would bet that they would say no. To many, tag making doesn’t involve one’s creative nature as it is just the placement shapes, stocks and colors on a digitalized canvas. Some may even considered digital imaging as the antithesis of art.

What is art? Art by definition is “the real product of one’s use of knowledge and imagination.” Of course, the conception of art differs from person to person. I’ve never considered many things as art that a lot of others do. I’ve never considered a photo of a duck eating food from a person’s mouth as art (yes, that picture really exists -.-). Others may call it a contemporary masterpiece as it is a metaphor of mankind’s yearning to our go back to our primal instincts or whatever majig….*yawns*. But if we go by the textbook definition of art, that photo of the poultry is considered as art. It is a real, physical product. The photographer must’ve had some kind of idea of what he wanted and used his knowledge as a photographer to capture it. So the same thing could be said about tag making. But of course, for me the tag has to be aesthetically pleasing to be considered as art just as in other forms of art.

So I guess the question leads up to another question: do tags have the hold a good amount of artistic value compared to other arts? Honestly, I would say no. I think what determines the artistic value of a piece is the level of skill required and the difficulty it was to be made. Sure we need a certain amount of Photoshop knowledge to make a decent or even “pro” sig. But where as it would take a painter decades of work and practice to be considered a pro, many of the “pro” tag makers at NSL only has a year of experience – or less. Also, if a painter or sculptor makes a major mistake in their work, they would have to start over again. If I make a mistake, ctrl+z is the answer to all my problems.

Other people’s opinions:

I'd say its art, cause you can give your opinion if you like a sig/wall/ava also you can express yourself with it, it's like drawing for people with no talent for RL pencil drawing(like meXD) of course some of the best gfx's are good in other arts to, but to the point yeah its art, it's kinda the same right you put your effort in a sig, to make it the most beautifull you can do, and to me art's things I think are beautifull, I find my work art, of course not on a museum level like davinci but yeah it's art also you can use your PS skills to make money some like RL paintings so yeah it's art, ow and i thought only 9th div did the CBNL apparently notXD

Personally, I think it IS a form of art cuz, man, isn't any expression of creativity a form of art? If anything isn't art it's them paint splat pieaces of junk (my opinion, please don't flame). That said, sigs may not be as "deep" as the abstracts you see in the museums, but each is a representation of the creator's style and creativity.

A whole thread about it. (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?p=754705)

This article wasn’t made to degrade tag making in anyway. Really. Tag making is probably one of the only arts I’m good at. I fail at singing, traditional art(paining, sketching, sculpting) and other digital arts. And since tag making is an art, one can always get better and learn from others. It just so happens that here at CB, we have the means to do that! I suggest taggers to participate in as many contests (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=102), battles (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=16), teams (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=18) and SOTWs (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=50) as possible. But one of the most effective ways to get better is to take the knowledge from your peers. And of course, here at CB we can do that as well! Hop into the COTW (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=85), get a good partner and start making magic!

Ode to CB(Part 1)
Joe writes a random story,
full of all our foolish glory.
Sari's fanfic is pure highschool drama,
We've got poems on Steve the llama.
Unholy works the Shinigami Fun,
Sandy shot Undying with a gun.
Thing's grandma is a major pain,
Pipp-ORK makes us all look sane.
DB and Sandy start a PMS fight,
while many are banned with sure delight.
Hasuke eats the unsuspecting noobs,
Azn is loved for his FC on boobs.
Pylar rules with an iron fist,
Stay far from Bee when she is pissed.
Super runs CB's Cafe in Randomness,
MARINE lives in his own world of craziness.
Ninth Division publishes the famous CBNL,
as Savage's comics make us ROFL.
Sacred likes singing kareoke,
tsyc was originally known as Cokeoroke.
Icestorm writes amazing poetry,
MooL and Pylar fight over popularity.
Maxi's sigs are most impressive,
Paying for IRC is way too expensive.

A few days ago I logged onto my computer to have a very disturbing little message jump at me from my MSN Messenger at the bottom of my screen. I froze as I read the unbelievable words that stood there: DB’s Leaving! At first I refused to believe it, and so I promptly moved to the Intro/Outroduction Forum to see that alas, it was true!

How did this happen? How could it be? DragonBlade, a major part of the heart and Soul of CB, leaving? Now? Just after a few days ago he had told me how he had so many plans for CB… It just didn’t make sense. Then after reading his post, I realized that (strange as it may be), there is a life after CB, and we will all inevitably succumb to it’s grasp sooner or later.

I then log on a day later only to find out it was a prank! :p Nice one DB, you had me worried…

Even so, it was a wake up call and it got me thinking… I browse the forums today, and see everything that has been changed, even in the short time that I have come to know and love CB for that which it is, and can only think of all the hard work that the admins have done in putting this site together. I can only be grateful that they have done so much to help bring this awesome forum to where it is today. We shall all, at one or other point, leave this place of sanity to face the world which one of my fellow captains so rightfully calls “The other life”, but while we are here, let us enjoy what has been given to us!

I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone here, not just the admins, but the mods, S-mods and all the members for making CB such a special place. I know that it an only get better, and I can’t wait!

A weird place that i found through a friend of mine...It hosts the covers of anime dvd's and such like that..Personally i didn't realise it was such a big thing..But apparently it is because they have a fair amount of traffic and have a nice little community there. So go ahead check it out for Pictures of anime covers. Talked to the admin.

They're three years old..they deal specifically with only Anime DvD covers and other DvD covers for replacement art or for a custom cover for your DvD's. They are totally free all they require is member participation to be able to download the Covers.
