Which of the VC's should lead the open divisions?

I stuck this here because of the no-spoiler tag in the general forum but this a continuation of Manji's thread, here (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showthread.php?t=18598)

In the same vein as that thread, which of the Vice captains should take the now open 3rd, 5th and 9th division captain seats? Really think out who would be the most suited to continue onto captain level. Even consider the lower division seats like Ikkaku etc...

I personally believe that Shuuhei, Isane and Renji would be best suited for the jobs, with more training of course. Shuuhei seems experienced and down to earth, plus he's shown that he can and will protect other shinigami at any cost making a good pick, Isane seems to be compassionate enough for the position and is obviously skilled with demon magic and Renji already has bankai and has shown he's nearly captain level anyway, he might be a little head-strong, although, Kenpachi's a captain :p.

I'm sure this has been brought up in the past, but I was intrigued by the Yamamoto replacement thread.

i agree with just about everything you said. except for the renji being head strong and it being fine because of zarakis head-strongedness(i totally just made that up) because zaraki has the power to back up his head-strongness. renji on the other hand needs to learn to be a little bit more calm(or a lot more powerful) before he could become a captain or his squad would be in constant danger

Thats true, however Ichigo beat Zaraki without his patch pre-bankai, obviously both Ichigo and Renji have become more powerful since then so I doubt there's much of a power difference between the two except for Kenpachi's sheer endurance.

Plus imagine Kenpachi trying to take Renji's bankai head on, which he would, he might not come out so well :eek13:

Renji for one, I'm not sure about the others. I don't think Kira and Matsumoto are quite up to par yet... It would be awesome if Nemu was made captain. ^.^

There is a seated officer that could be a great captain, but the whole reason for that is based on the manga, so I won't get quite into that yet.

imo, i'd say no one...they're all still not quite captain material yet.
renji knows bankai...but he's still inexperienced
tho if i have to pick, i'd choose Shuuhei.
i think ikkaku would say no if offered the position
how about the first division's VC? ...yeah he got owned by Ichigo but he looks *wise*...

hehe, I liked how we saw a flash of his zanpakto (a rapier) then he gets owned, lol, obviously the japanese arn't keen on english fighting styles :p

And I agree none of them, at the moment, are powerful or experienced enough to become captains but in the future their the ones that will have the best chance of getting the positions...

Kira! (just out of sheer love for him X) ) and Renji, though Renji may not want to leave until he defeats Byakuya. Or he may want to leave to prove to Byakuya he can be a captain? o,o Who knows.

Shuuhei probably too, but he should work on a bankai soon. ;> I'd def say Ikkaku but he's too devoted towards Zaraki XD

Hmm, I would've assumed the Hitsu fans would have been here by now, saying RANGIKU!! RANGIKU!! :p Out of sheer hilarity I think Yachiru should become one, bump hitsu off as the youngest captain, lol

The only person that I think should move up to captain is Renji because he has a bankai. Although he can't really use it properly and he just swings it wildly. I think he is the right VC to move up.
