I think it is possible for love at first sight but it doesn't happen very often and sometimes what seems to be ,isn't.

It's not impossible, but it is very rare, especially these days. People don't seem to be able to distinguish love from lust anymore. If someone has a girlfriend/boyfriend who isn't the best looking, they are automatically critisized & made fun of, no matter how good a person the other may be. On top of that, marriages have a higher failure rate each year. It's kinda disturbing.

yeah i think that love at first sight is quite rare but "like" and "lust" at first sight i feel is extreamely common. and i guess at times it could be mistaken for love.

Wow! I agree to this to a certain extent... YES! true love is deeper, but would you approach a person who you dont even know, and who isnt attractive to you and just approach them and have a chat with them, to realise that they are not who you think they are, cause there are two sides to the Ugly duckling story... 1) he is raged by the fact that he is set as the outcast and goes off and makes it his life's mission to destroy everyone who called him Ugly... or 2) he stays scared and works under the beautiful ducklings and he becomes beautiful in the way that he is never angered and always gentle...

Sanzora you are right about it being more lust than love, but love may become a product of 'love at first sight'... but that obviously takes understanding, thats why you could potentially fall in love with anyone you meet, but with the love at first sight sorted, you wont ever meet anyone out of the blue and start liking them without getting to know them first...

Love at first *sight* not particularly. I don't believe that you can fall in love with someone the first time you see them. I do believe in love at first meet though. All of my crushes and the only one I ever loved I had strong feelings for from the first time I talked to them.

Alas, my love is only a friend and only will ever be, but I believe that friendship is stronger than romance, anyway.
