Anyone else ever noticed..

Awhile back I was playing a ROM of Samurai Showdown V(SSV), I was playing Ukyo Tachibana, and it me like a ton of bricks, Ukitake and Tachibana are sooooo similar.

They both have a respitory disease and cough up blood from time to time(which would lead me to believe that Ukitake has the same thing that Tachibana has, Taburculosis).

In SSV I was playing Tachibana so that he was all white(hair and everything) when I had noticed this. Same length hair, same sickly bodies, hell you could almost go so far as to say they have somewhat the same personalities, as they both went through great lengths for a woman, granted Rukia was Ukitakes subordinant and Tachibana was infatuated with Kei, but still!

If I could find a drawn pic of Tachibana with white hair I'd post it next to a pic of Ukitake.

Actually, I think it's been an established fact that Ukitate has tuberculosis. o_o; Not sure though, but I read it up somewhere. XD

Yeah lol, i noticed it ever since i saw Ukitake. Been playing Samurai Showdown since the old versions. Awesome game! and guess what?! Ukyo is my favorite character. \m/

Yeah, Ukitake has Tuberculosis (identified as Consumption), and his hair went white a short while after he was diagnosed of it.

His eyebrows are black, so his hair was possibly that colour.

Yes, and what about the red haired Samurai Shodown character - he feels quite Bleach-y. Also, not to forget the one with hair sort of like Renji's, but only black. Also in Capcom vs SNK 2.

So that's the illness Ukitake has. I was viewing episodes 40-45 yesterday and he's quite involved in 40-41. Thought about what he might have. Now i know :)

Do you get white hair if you have TBC tho?

Maybe Kubo Tite was/is a fan of SSV... and/or maybe he played it.

Oh my!! They do look rather alike! If the hair is white instead of blue, whoever that character is, he might be the exact twin of Ukitake. oO

On second thought, he might be the cooler/more manly twin of Ukitake. Hehe.
