Fruits Basket

Okay then... lets test out this pretty new section of the boards.
Fruits Basket is yet another story that makes me squeal so high I shouldn't admit to it. Definately a favorite that I encourage others to pick up. Why discuss it here instead of in the anime forum? I personally didn't care too much for the anime.
I love the manga. It goes into so much depth, so much more explanation, so much darker as well. The anime was alright, but I just couldn't compare it to what I'd read. The characters weren't as fleshed out, it reached a point in the story and then just... fast-forward cause we're out of time, and if you saw the English dubbed version (pity me, I did) don't even get me STARTED on Ayame's voice.:sad But that's only my opinion.
What are your thoughts?

I watched all 26 episodes of the anime. I heard the manga went on, but unfortunately the anime stopped. Anyways, Penryn, where do you get your Fruits Basket manga? I can't find it on the web anywhere >.<

I know this site that rotates 1-21 vol.s of fruits basket translated into English. (btw the anime stopped at the 8th vol.) I own 1-14 of the English and plan on buying each one as they come out in English over here in Canada. anyways, I heard that there are only 22 vol.s of fruits basket then its over, is that true??

So the 2nd season is confirmed? Because apparently there was some troubles with getting all the voice actors before; so I guess they sorted that out. Yey!

Ok that site works for me, they have 1-21 of the fruits basket manga in english. They usually rotate 4 to 8 vol.s at a time. #22 is supposed to be added some time this month!!

I dont know exactly what you are talking about, b/c i now own 1-14 of fruits basket manga and...ummm....what arrows?? lol ^_^

I'm looking for Ch 133 and perhaps ch 134 scans of Furuba. A lot of the sites I go to stopped at Ch 132 because they might have thought it was the last one.

I like Fruit basket manga because first of all it Continues and not just stop like the anime :) It's funny and all.

As the manga closes to the end, it gets less funny and more serious. Especially once you get to volume 17. The humor was just added to spice us up for the real plot that was about to go on. Fruits basket is one of my best favorites D:

I liked Fruits Basket when I first started reading it, but the story dragged on for too long and I lost interest in it. The art style changed about halfway through the series, which was another factor that led me into dropping this manga. :(

I did enjoy the anime though, which was the reason why I started reading the manga in the first place. I want a sequel as well like many people, since the ending was a bit too sudden.
