Summary:
In Uchiko Town, an average student and classed loser in his school, Yamaha Yuki gets saved by Naomi from a snatching incident. His clothes together with his others belongings we're also stolen by those thugs. In exchange for saving his life, Naomi decides that Yuki pretend to be her boyfriend for one week so that she could make her ex-boyfriend, Minoru jealous. Yuki was forced to agree if not he will have to walk home wearing nothing but his underwear.
In the turn of events, Yuki falls in love with Naomi, but Naomi is still in love with Minoru. What if Yuki's besfriend, Ayame confesses her true feelings for him? How will he react? Will Naomi fall in love with Yuki? Stay tunned for the crazy high school romanantic comedy with a twist.

"What is love? I can't seem to understand how to love... and be loved. I'm in third year high... and I still don't have a girlfriend, sigh! I wonder how this feels... to have a girlfriend."

Yuki walks towards his school talking to himself when Ayame, his bestfriend approaches him.

"YUKIII!!!! Wait up... you talking to yourself again?" Ayame asked.

"Err... no! Ofcourse not! Only idiots talk to themselves..." Yuki replied.

"If you say so... Anyway, did you bring the the thing I asked you to bring?" Ayame asked cheerfully.

"Um... What thing?!" Yuki asked.

"WHAATTT??!! DONT TELL ME YOU FORGOT TO BRING THE SUPER YUMMY CANDY BARS THAT YOU PROMISED!!! I HATE YOU YAMAHA YUKI!!! YOU CANT EVEN KEEP A PROMISE!!!" Ayame left crying.

"Whats wrong with her? Hey watch it!" A beautiful girl accidentally bumped into Yuki on his way to the school gate.

"Sorry..." The girl left without looking at Yuki.

"What a beauty..." Yuki's heart beat fast.

SPLASH!!! A passing car splashed Yuki with the wet floor on the ground.

"What the? Oh man... this sucks!" Yuki entered the school.

"Ok class, take your seats... a new lesson will be taught today." said Ms. Kanagaki.

Yuki sat beside Ayame who was still angry.

"Pssst! Yuki? Isnt Ms. Kanagaki, our science teacher dating Mr. Yamaha, the gym instructor and also your father?" His seatmate teased.

"HELLL NOOO!!! My dad won't date that geek looking fat-ass..." he shouted.

The class fell silent. Ms. Kanagaki heard everything Yuki said.

"Yamaha Yuki!!! To detention... IMMEDIATELY!!!" Ms. Kanagaki scolded.

Yuki left his seat and went to detention.

"I can't believe that she would send me to detention first thing in the morning... geez!" He scratched his head.

On the way to detention he saw the beautiful girl again talking to her friends. He coudn't help but to eavesdrop to what they were talking about.

"Naomi... what's wrong?" Naomi's friend asked.

"It's nothing... my annoying ex-boyfriend won't leave me alone! sigh!" Naomi said.

"The senior MVP basketball player, Minoru?! Why'd you dump him anyway? Isn't he your dream guy?" Naomi's other friend asked.

"I thought he was... but I realized that he is not my soulmate."

"Soulmate?! Theres no such thing. Naomi you are popular and the most beautiful girl in our school it is a match made in heaven that you and Minoru be together... please take him back!" Naomi's two friends chorused.

"Sorry girls... but if I don't love him how can our relationship work? And besides I dont need a boyfriend right now, I'm now going to concentrate in my studies..." Naomi concluded.

Yuki felt sad to hear that his first crush didn't want a boyfriend at the moment.

BUMP! Minoru accidentally bumps into Yuki and his things fell.

"HEY WATCH IT GEEK!" Minoru scolded.

"Er... sorry... I was... just..."

"SHUT UP! DONT TALK TO ME! I AM NOT THE SAME AS YOUR LEVEL, LOZER!" Minoru bragged.

Yuki was embarrassed but luckily Naomi left before the incident occured. Minoru left calling Naomi's name.

After classes, Yuki decided to go straight home. While walking…

“I really hate this day! Ayame got mad at me! My crush doesn’t need a boyfriend! And I got embarrassed by that, Minoru! I hate it! What more do I have to expect!” Yuki shouted.

“Hey, kiddo! Give us your money!” Two gangster guys appeared from behind and cornered Yuki.

“What?! I have no time for pranks, idiots!” Yuki ignored and tried to pass through them but the other man pushed him to a wall and pointed a knife at Yuki.

“Do we look like we’re joking? Hand em over…” The other guy then searched Yuki’s pockets and grabbed his wallet.

“He doesn’t even have any money on him! The gangster holding Yuki’s wallet got pissed.

“Search him! If it comes down to him being naked… then strip him!” The big guy holding a knife ordered the other.

The second gangster forced Yuki to strip down his clothes.

“I don’t have any money! Just go and leave me alone, idiots!” said Yuki.

“Why you…” The first gangster was about to stab Yuki with a knife when suddenly a girl kicked it off his hand.

“Why don’t you just leave him alone? You fags have enough to see already, LEAVE!” Naomi ordered.

“You’re just a pretty high school girl… so SHUT UP!” the second gangster said.

“Yeah! If you want to go home to your daddy alive… then strip for us!” The first gangster was about to touch Naomi’s breast when she countered by twisting his hand and kicking his stomach hard.

“You guys are pathetic! You couldn’t even handle a pretty high school girl.” Naomi then kicked the second gangster in the face.

“Bro! Lets get out… this chick’s dangerous!” The two gangster left in a hurry, they even took Yuki’s clothes.

“Hey! My clothes you idiots! Give them back…” Yuki tried to ran after them but can’t since he was only wearing an underwear.

“I didn’t know men still wear elementary underwear.” Naomi teased which made Yuki blush.

“Anyway… here take my scarf. Wear it around your waist…” Naomi giggled.

“I’m Igarashi Naomi by the way, third year high! You do seem a bit familiar, are we schoolmates?” Naomi asked.

“She didn’t even remember me from this morning.” Yuki said to himself.

“Yes, I know you… we go to the same school.” Yuki covered his waist with Naomi’s scarf.

“I really owe you one… I don’t even know how to repay you for saving me back there.”

Naomi thought for a second and an idea came to her instantly.

“I have an idea! Why don’t you pretend to be my boyfriend for one week… in that way Minoru, my ex-boyfriend would forget about courting me again and move on with his life. Yes! That’s quite easy so…” Yuki interrupted Naomi.

“What?! Me? Be your boyfriend for one week? And do you even think that Minoru, the senior heartthrob and MVP basketball player would get replaced by a loser like me? There’s no way I’ll be acting to be your boyfriend miss… nooo waay!”

Naomi then grabbed her scarf from Yuki’s waist.

“Then… I’ll be taking this back.” Naomi said.

“No! Wait! Grrr… you leave me no choice. Ok! Ok! I’ll do it… sheesh!” Yuki looked as if he was pissed but deep down inside Yuki enjoyed the attention he got from Naomi.

Naomi walked Yuki to his house and when they arrived Ayame was waiting in front of his house…

“Yuki?! What happened to you?” Ayame went to Yuki’s side and offered him her jacket.

“My clothes got robbed… thanks to Naomi here, she’s the one who saved me. By the way Naomi this is Ayame… Ayame this is Naomi she goes to the same school as we do.” Yuki introduced the two girls to each other.

“Everybody knows Naomi, the popular cheerleader from third year section A. Duh… it seems you’re the only one not paying attention to anything that happens in our school, Yuki.” Ayame sighed.

“Yuki! So that’s your name… you didn’t introduce yourself earlier.” Naomi reminded Yuki.

“Really? He didn’t even bother introducing himself, what a jerk!” Ayame punched Yuki’s right arm.

“No it’s ok, he probably forgot.” Naomi laughed.

“By the way Ayame, you’re the new moderator of the school play aren’t you? How’s section D been doing? What are you planning for this year’s school drama?” Naomi asked.

“We’re planning to do Romeo and Juliet but the setting is in the 20th century. So it’s pretty much a modern version.” Yuki then interrupted Ayame.

“How come I didn’t know our section’s in charge of this years school play, Ayame. How come you didn’t tell me?” Yuki said.

“It’s because you leave early, stupid. And we’ve been posting meetings in our classroom you never even bother looking at them. What a loner…” Ayame teased.

“You two must be really close friends…” Naomi interrupted.

“Yes! Even if Yuki and I had a fight earlier because he forgot to bring the Super Yummy Candy Bars he promised… I couldn’t stand being angry and not talking to this guy, he’s like a boyfriend to me.” Ayame blushed.

“Sorry to break the news… but I am Yuki’s girlfriend from now on. You see… we had a deal earlier. He’ll have to play the part of being my boyfriend for one week just so that my ex-boyfriend Minoru will forget about courting me again….” Naomi broke the news to Ayame.

“I see... Well… I’ll be going now.” Ayame left in a hurry, her face was saddened.

“You know… sometimes I couldn’t understand that Ayame. She’s weird… this morning she was angry but now she’s not and what’s with that attitude leaving in a hurry?” Yuki asked.

“She probably had better things to do, Yuki.”

Both Naomi and Yuki heard the main door to Yuki’s house open.

“Son! You’re late! What’s wrong with…?” Katashi (Yuki’s father) then saw a familiar face.

“Ahh… Naomi what brings you here?”

“You know her? Am I the only one in school who didn’t know about her?” Yuki said.

“That’s because you don’t socialize with your classmates the only person you know is Ayame, your childhood friend and besides Naomi attends my Tai-Kwando classes, I know her very well. Naomi, do you know my son as well?”

“Yes I know him. I brought him here as you can see an incident occurred.” Naomi pointed at her scarf from Yuki’s waist.

“WHAAAATTT!!! Why are you wearing a skirt?! I knew someday you’d show your true color…” Katashi cried.

“Dad what are you talking about, I’m not gay! Geez… My clothes got robbed but Naomi save me.”

“She saved you? Why couldn’t you even stand up for yourself?” Katashi scolded.

“Sir, it’s no big deal… and besides I had the obligation to stand up for him. I’m his girlfriend.” Naomi smiled. Katashi then fainted.

"We're a couple now, right Yuki?"

“NO WE’RE NOT!” Yuki protested.

“Yuki what are you doing? Do you want me to take that scarf off your waist? You owe me, remember.” Naomi whispered.

“Er… ok! ok!” Yuki sighed.

“Hey are you just going to stand there? Let’s get your father inside.” Naomi and Yuki both carried Katashi inside their house and placed him on the couch when Yuki’s little sister, Mimi descended from the staircase to check up on her brother’s arrival.

“Brother you’re late again! And why are you wearing a skirt? Dad’s right after all, he somehow knew you’d show your true colors.” Mimi teased. She then noticed the beautiful red-head girl next to Yuki.

“Naomi! Big sis from dad’s tai Kwando class, how have you been?” Mimi asked pleasantly.

“Him Mimi! It’s good that you remember me from before… I’m fine. It’s been a while since you dropped by your dad’s Tai Kwando class.”

“It seems I’m the only one who never knew such a beautiful girl exists.” Yuki said to himself.

“Bro! Go get changed! You’re so disgusting to look at!” Mimi ordered Yuki to change his clothes.

“Why are you shouting at me?! I am older than you, Mimi?! Your just three years old and you act…” Mimi punched Yuki’s his face which caused it to swell.

“Why you little rascal!” Yuki and Mimi both wrestled in the living room which causes most of the things to break.

“Hey guys! Please stop!” Naomi hid under the table. Katashi slowly regains consciousness and to his surprise saw the house disorganized.

“YUKKKKIII!!!” Katashi shouted. Mimi grabbing Yuki’s neck suddenly let goes and pretends as if her brother was beating her.

“Father… Yuki punched me again.” Mimi cried.

“What?! You liar! I’d never…” Katahshi kicked Yuki which made him hit the wall.

“Go to your room, IMMEDIATELY!” Katashi ordered.

“And next time don’t you ever wear a skirt in front of me.”

Yuki felt embarrassed, he took a short glance at Naomi who was still hiding under the table and then ran to his room.

A few minutes later, Yuki came downstairs looking more decent and handsome as ever. His brown hair was now properly fixed compared to before.

“Naomi will be joining us for dinner tonight. Come now, let’s eat.” Katashi said.

Yuki sat beside his father opposite to Naomi and Mimi. While they wear having dinner…

“So, since when have you two been…?” Yuki interrupted Katashi.

“Well… dad you see… earlier I got robbed… and Naomi here…”

“We’re just a new couple, sir.” Naomi kicked Yuki’s foot.

Mimi threw up the food she was eating and laughed so loud.

“Bwahahahaha! Naomi you picked the wrong man to be involved with… lets face it Brother, you’re weak, stupid and…”

Yuki forced a mouthful of rice in Mimi’s mouth.

“My sister loves me so much… I don’t know what I’d do without her.” Yuki said. Mimi then bit Yuki’s hand.

After dinner, Yuki decided to walk Naomi to her house…

“Dad, I’ll be walking Naomi home now. I’ll be gone for a few minutes only.”

“Dad, its better that I walk Big Sister to her house, brother might get kidnapped on the way home, and besides he couldn’t even stand up for Naomi if it were me…”

Yuki kicked Mimi inside the house.

“Well dad… we better get going now, its getting late. See ya!”

“By sir, thank you for your hospitality and…” Yuki immediately grabbed Naomi’s arm and left in a hurry.

“Come back anytime, Naomi! Bye, take care!” Katashi waved goodbye.

“Dad! You should have asked me to tag along… I am manlier than brother.” Mimi bragged.

“Mimi, stop acting like a tomboy! Remember, you’re a cute, cute little girl.” Katashi pinched Mimi’s face.

“Besides… your brother should learn how to stand up for Naomi when the time comes. I’m happy that he met the girl who could turn him into a real man.”

“Dad?! Seriously, are you crying?” Mimi noticed Katashi shedding a tear.

“No I'm not! Come on now, Mimi. Lets get inside, it’s getting darker.” Katashi carried Mimi who tried to struggle herself free from her fathers arms.

The next day, Yuki woke up early. He knew that it’s the first out of seven days that he’ll pretend to be Naomi’s boyfriend.

“I better hurry and meet up with Naomi in front of school.” Yuki took a quick shower then got ready for school and went downstairs as soon as he finished tying his shoes. He sat beside Mimi who was helping herself to some beacon and eggs.

“Bro, I had the weirdest dream last night. You had a girlfriend, the most beautiful girl in dad’s tai Kwando class.” Mimi snorted.

“I know it’s disgusting since you’ll never have a girl…” Mimi was about to finish her sentence when Yuki punched her in the face.

“Shut up! Naomi is my girlfriend and there’s nothing that you can do or say about it. Period! End of story.” Yuki ate in a hurry and left for school.

“I bet brother won’t even last a week with Naomi.” Mimi whispered to Katashi.

“Wanna bet? If your brother breaks-up with Naomi in a week then I’ll give you his room. If he doesn’t you’d have to start wearing girly clothes, got that?” Katashi started to imagine Mimi wearing pink lady-like clothes.

“Fine, but I’m sure I’ll win. I’ll make sure of that.” Mimi grinned.

Yuki saw that Naomi was already waiting in front of their school. Her red-hair was tied neatly and she looked more beautiful than ever. Yuki slowly approached Noami; in his mind he asked himself if it were a dream or a fantasy.

“Is this a dream? If it were I’d like to dream of this forever…” Yuki didn’t notice that he was about to get hit by the school bus when Naomi caught sight of Yuki and pushed him on the corner of the road.

“What are you doing? Do you want to get yourself killed again? Not all the time I’ll be here to save you, Yuki.” Naomi said.

“Come now, we’ll be light for class.” Naomi held Yuki’s right hand. The other students they passed by had their mouths wide open..

“I am so lucky to have met you, Naomi.” Yuki said to himself. Naomi noticed that Yuki was staring at her. Naomi then started to blush.

“Hey wait up!” Ayame caught up with Yuki and Naomi and she positioned herself on the center so that Yuki and Naomi wouldn’t be holding hands. Ayame grabbed Yuki’s arm and leaned her head on his shoulder.

“Let me guys walk with you to class.” Ayame giggled. She enjoyed the warmth of Yuki’s shoulders.

“Well our class is right here, Naomi. See, section D. Bye!” Ayame pointed at their section’s name. Yuki wanted to let go of her but her grip was tight.

“See you later, Yuki.” Naomi gave Yuki a quick kiss on the cheek and then looked at Ayame.

“And see you too later, Ayame.” Naomi left Yuki a sweet smile. Yuki felt as if his insides were flying out of happiness and joy. Ayame looked as if disgusted with what she saw and fell silent from that moment on.

“Class, take you seats.” Ms. Kanagaki asked her student to take their seats.

“So, did everyone bring their assignments?” She asked in her usual strict voice.

“How can dad ever date such cold blooded woman?” He said to himself. Ms. Kanagaki noticed Yuki laugh.

“What are you laughing about Mr. Yamaha?” She looked at Yuki with her stern face.

“Mr. Yamaha? Are you referring to me or my dad?!” Yuki joked.

“Enough! Bring out your assignment and write your answers on the blackboard, NOW!” Ms. Kanagaki ordered. Yuki then fell silent.

“So… you don’t have any assignment again, do you? You know where to go, to detention or should I ask someone to escort you?” The class broke into laughter.

“QUIET! All of you will have additional assignments and as for you YUKI, spend the rest of your day in DETENTION!” She scolded at Yuki.

“Ewww…” Yuki wiped the spit of saliva from his face.

After spending the whole day in detention, Yuki decided to search for Naomi and to his surprise he saw her waiting in front of the detention room.

“Have you been waiting for me?” Yuki asked.

“No, I just got here. I heard from your classmate that you got sent to detention earlier…” Naomi said.

“NAOMI! Wait up!” Minoru together with the other varsity players followed.

“Quick! Hold my hand, Minoru’s coming…” Naomi whispered to Yuki and he immediately took Naomi’s hand.

“What the? What’s the meaning of this?” Minoru got shocked.

“Are you going to replace me with this loser? Huh, Naomi?”

“Stop it, Minoru! You’re not my boyfriend anymore and besides Yuki here is more gentle and caring than you. He wouldn’t do anything to hurt me…” Naomi hugged Yuki’s shoulder.

Minoru got angry. He was about to punch Yuki when Naomi stood in front on him.

“What are you going to do? Punch him? Why are you so persistent? I told you I won’t take you back! I don’t like you anymore! Please, just leave us alone.” Naomi grabbed Yuki’s arm and left in a hurry. Yuki made a funny face that made Minoru even angrier.

“I’ll get you for that, Yuki! You just wait… Naomi will be mine again.” Minoru said to himself.

Yuki decided to visit his father in the Gym…

“Hey, Naomi is it ok if we stop by at the gym. I’ve got to ask my dad regarding a rumor I heard yesterday. I totally forgot to ask him last night…”

“Sure, and if were in luck we might see your cute sis too.” Naomi said.

They both were about to enter the gym when suddenly someone from behind hugs Naomi.

“Big Sis! I missed yah!” Mimi hugged Naomi tightly. Her face was rested on Naomi’s breasts.

“Grrr... STAY AWAY, MIMI!” Yuki kicked Mimi away from Naomi.

“Brother you idiot!” Mimi jumped to Yuki and scratched his face. The two wrestled.

Naomi tried to let the two stop from fighting when she saw that Katashi and a familiar woman were approaching.

“Hey you two, your fathers coming…” Naomi told Mimi and Yuki which made them stop.

Yuki was surprised to see Ms. Kanagaki next to his father.

“Hey Yuki! There’s someone I’d like you to meet, Shizuka your future step-mother.” Katashi introduced Yuki.

“What! There’s no way I’d welcome that ***** into our family!”

“Take those words back, Yuki! Or I’ll make you wish you’d never been born!” Katashi got furious.

“Its ok, dear. I already met your son; he is one of my favorite students. I’m sure we’ll get along perfectly.” Ms. Kanagaki’s voice was calm and pleasing compared to her usual strict tone. She carried Mimi into her arms.

“I like Ms. Kanagaki, father. Never mind what Yuki thinks…” Mimi showed her tongue to annoy Yuki and Ms. Kanagaki gave an irritating smile at Yuki. Naomi interrupted their conversation.

“By the way Yuki, didn’t you want to ask your father something about a rumor?” Naomi asked.

“It’s already been answered.” Yuki left in a hurry and Naomi followed.

“What is wrong with Yuki, why’d he act disrespectfully towards you, honey?” Katashi asked Ms. Kanagaki.

“I don’t know, dear… but don’t worry, he’ll get used to me being around the family sometime soon.”

Yuki fell into deep thought while walking on the corner of the street.

“Why did Ms. Kanagaki act differently in front of my dad, is she for real?” Yuki asked himself.

“Yuki, what’s wrong?” Naomi noticed that Yuki was troubled.

“Nothing…”

“It’s Ms. Kanagaki, isn’t it?”

“Sort of…”

“You know she’s a really nice teacher, very professional and calm when it comes to her students.”

“What do you mean, Nice? She’s the reason why I got to detention? Trust me she’s not. She’s just acting to be nice so that my father won’t notice who she really is. The devil!” Yuki cursed.

Naomi didn’t respond to what Yuki said. She was busy looking at Yuki’s face.

“You know… you really look cute when you’re angry.” Naomi giggled which made Yuki blush.

“Naomi, can I ask why you broke up with Minoru?” Yuki changed the subject of their conversation. Naomi fell silent for a moment and then continued.

“I caught him kissing my best friend. I didn’t confront him because I somehow expected it to happen.” Naomi paused for a minute.

“You’re the only one who knows about the real truth, Yuki. I told my friends a different story that we broke up because I have no feelings for him anymore… but to be honest I still do have feelings for him. I just want him to suffer; I want him to feel the pain that I’ve gone through when I saw him with, Haruka.” Naomi confessed. She slowly starts to cry.

“I understand…” Yuki hugged Naomi. He felt sad for a moment; he realized that Naomi was still in love with Minoru.

“I’m sorry to get you involved… I just didn’t know what to do that time and I was urging for revenge.” Naomi continues to cry and intensely hugs Yuki back.

A few meters away, Ayame was eavesdropping and was surprised to what she heard.

“Now, I know…”

Ayame felt relieved to hear that Yuki and Naomi are pretending to be a couple. She jumped for joy and immediately walked home singing a happy love song. Meanwhile, Yuki felt sad to hear that Naomi still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend, Minoru. He didn’t show the slightest feeling of happiness because deep inside him, he knew that he was starting to love Naomi. And Naomi clueless to Yuki’s feeling continued to hug him tightly for in his arms she felt the warmth and safety she never experienced with Minoru.

“You know, Yuki. I wish that Minoru has the warm and gentle arms of yours.” Naomi let go of Yuki’s arms.

She shed off the tears from her cheek and gave Yuki her biggest smile. Yuki didn’t know how to respond to Naomi, he was still hurt after hearing what she have revealed. He just continued to walk towards their destination. Naomi felt confused as to why Yuki didn’t respond to what she said; she even felt that she might have offended him in some way. In that beautiful yet sad Sunset, Yuki continued to gaze upon the skies, thinking that things would be much better if he were to forget his feelings for Naomi.

“Yuki, are you alright?” Naomi asked. Yuki didn’t even bother looking at her and continued to walk more briskly.

Naomi felt the uneasy atmosphere between Yuki and her. She was getting annoyed with Yuki’s behavior and decided to confront him.

“Is something the matter? You’ve been acting differently ever since…” Naomi was about to finish her sentence when Yuki interrupted disrespectfully.

“No! I don’t care! This is the real me, ok. Get used to me being like this from now on.” Yuki’s face was serious; he has decided to forget his feelings for Naomi by acting cool and bitter.

“Yuki, I know you… you’re not like this. Why?” Naomi was about to cry. Yuki couldn’t resist a girl crying and he immediately grabbed Naomi by the shoulder and dragged her on a corner and looked at her sparkling green-eyes.

“Naomi, I’m sorry… It’s just that… lately…” He did not continue what he was about to say. Naomi fell silent waiting for him to respond but instead she felt Yuki kiss her.

Naomi was clueless as why Yuki have kissed her. She slowly lets go of Yuki’s lips and turned her face away from him. Yuki came to his senses and realized that Naomi doesn’t like him back. Unfortunately, Minoru saw what have happened. He clutched his fist and cursed at Yuki.

“Why you!!! Stay away from my girl!” Minoru punched Yuki. Yuki fell down to his knees and decided not to fight back and let Minoru give him a good beating. Naomi couldn’t stand Minoru beating up Yuki and Yuki not fighting back so she forcefully grabs Minoru by the arm and slaps him in the face.

“Minoru! Stop it! You’re hurting him! Just go…” Naomi helps the wounded Yuki to get up but he was too weak to stand on his feet. Minoru immediately ran away from the scene and swore that he would kill Yuki the next time they meet.

“This is all my fault. I shouldn’t have let you… Yuki, wake up!” Yuki fell unconscious; blood is dripping from his mouth. Naomi cries in his arms but luckily there was a cab driver who helped her bring him to her house. Once in Naomi’s room she treated Yuki’s bruise with a prescribed medicine. She even washed away the blood from his face.

“Yuki, I’m sorry… for everything that has happened to you.” Naomi said while looking at a peacefully sleeping Yuki, when suddenly Yuki’s right hand grabbed hers.

“Naomi, I love you…” Yuki fell unconscious again. Naomi was shocked to hear Yuki’s confession. She thought that he might be joking or dreaming but then she realized that Yuki was really in love with her. Naomi didn’t respond to Yuki’s words but instead she gave him a kiss on his forehead.

“Silly boy, go back to sleep.” Naomi then watches Yuki sleep.

Naomi informed Katashi that Yuki was spending the night at her place. She sat next to Yuki hoping that he would be alright when suddenly someone knocks at Naomi’s door.

“Naomi, can I come in.” It was Noami’s little brother, Nori. He came in carrying a tray with a bowl of soup and a glass of water. He resembled a lot of Naomi, the same red-hair and green eyes the only difference was that his hair was shorter and his face was more rounded.

“Mom, said that you’re boyfriend will be spending the night here. Is he alright?” He placed the tray on Naomi’s study table. He looked at Yuki from head to foot.

“This isn’t Minoru, who’s he?” He asked.

“He’s a friend.” Naomi answered. She realized that Yuki is pretending to be her boyfriend so that she could have revenge after what Minoru did. She blamed herself for what happened to Yuki and that she thought that it was best that if they stop this game their playing or Yuki might end up getting hurt again.

“You know, this guy looks nice compared to that Minoru. I hate that idiot, he always boasts about himself. It’s good you two are not together…” Nori expressed his thoughts about Minoru. He sat beside his sister for a few minutes and then decided to leave them alobe. Naomi was then left alone thinking about things, he thought of what Nori said and realized he was right. Yuki is nice, he’s fun to be with and she feels his sincerity towards her. Naomi couldn’t just ignore the fact that she still has feelings for Minoru.

“You know you’re still cute even if you snore a lot.” She stared at Yuki’s snoring face and laughed. Deep inside her, she couldn’t let go of Yuki not now that he was badly hurt. She decided to stop their pretense relationship when he was all better. But why is that she feels sad whenever the thought of not being around Yuki after they part ways, is she starting to feel something for Yuki? In that moment she gasps, she has just answered her question.

The next day, Yuki woke up completely recovered from his injuries. He noticed that Naomi fell asleep in her study table; her head leaning against her right arm. Yuki noticed that Naomi is even more beautiful when she sleeps; so peaceful and pretty to look at he thought. He didn’t want to disturb her from her sleep and got up from her bed as quietly as he could. He wore his newly washed and ironed clothes that were placed neatly in the chair. He wrote Naomi a note on a piece of paper stating “Thanks! I owe you another one.” He took a short glance at Naomi and then left. Yuki was escorted out of the house by Naomi’s mother and he gave his thanks to her. He then decided to go straight home.

After a few minutes, Naomi woke up from her sleep. She noticed that Yuki was gone because her bed was properly fixed and empty. She then noticed the note on the bedside table and read it quietly. She smiled on the thought that Yuki owes her another favor for saving his life. She then decided to take a shower and get ready for another day in school.

Yuki entered the main door and saw that the house was quiet. He thought that his dad and Mimi left early for school. Yuki ate the left-over breakfast which was place on the table and heard a sound coming from the kitchen. He slowly opens the door and saw Ms. Kanagaki washing the dishes. The kitchen was spotlessly clean than before. Yuki was surprised to see her there; he asked himself what she was doing there. Ms Kanagaki looked at Yuki with her strict face that she always does when she sees him.

“Your father brought Mimi to school early.” She said coldly.

“What are you doing here?!” Yuki interrupted disrespectfully but she didn’t respond and immediately changes the subject.

“I told your father I’d be walking with you to school today. Get ready, we’re late!” She scolded.

Yuki didn’t know what the woman she hated was doing in his house. He ran to his room and noticed it was clean and organized. He saw that Naomi’s red scarf was not placed in his chair. He searched the whole room but failed to find Naomi’s scarf. Ms. Kanagaki enters the room, wearing the red scarf Naomi let Yuki borrow.

“I cleaned your dirty room you brat! By the way… Looking for this?” She pointed at the scarf on her neck.

“I’ll be borrowing this for the meantime… this isn’t even meant to be worn by boys.”

Yuki gritted his teeth. He got furious at Ms. Kanagaki.

“Give that back! That’s not yours!” Yuki was about to grab the scarf from Ms. Kanagaki when she quickly removes it from her neck and hid it behind her.

“No I won’t! This is mine now!” Ms. Kangaki insisted.

Yuki tried to snatch it away from Ms. Kanagaki when she grabbed the scissors from Yuki’s study table and pointed it at the scarf.

“Nooo! Please don’t! I beg you…” Yuki begged her not to cut the scarf.

“This scarf is ugly… doesn’t even match my outfit today!” She cuts the scarf into pieces while laughing crazily. She threw the pieces of the scarf at Yuki’s face and left. Yuki cursed at Ms. Kanagaki he even hated her more for what she did. Yuki picked up the scattered pieces on the floor and hid it under his bed. He swore he would do anything to fix the scarf to the way it was before. He didn’t know what Naomi’s reaction would be, but he expected her to be angry. Yuki didn’t know that the scarf Naomi let him borrow has a significant value to her.

Naomi was about to leave for school when her mother reminded her that it was her father’s death anniversary. Naomi then remembers the scarf her father gave her before the accident occurred. She witnessed the accident because she was with her father when it happened a year ago. She hoped that it was her that died instead of her father. Naomi woke from the sudden flashback and remembered to get the scarf back from Yuki. Nori was already prepared; he waited outside for her sister to bring him to school.

“Nori, you have to come home early. We’ll be visiting dad later, ok?” Naomi patted her brother. Nori fell silent; whenever the topic regarding their father is brought up he becomes mute. He didn’t want to cry, or at least he forced himself not to. Naomi noticed his sudden silence and told him words of comfort.

“I know you miss dad a lot… but you have to accept that he’s gone already. Do this for mom and for me as well.” She kissed her brother in the cheek and then walked together towards Nori’s school.

After bringing Nori to school, Naomi decided to wait for Yuki in front of the school grounds. Yuki on the other hand didn’t know what to tell Naomi so he bought a similar red scarf and hoping that Naomi wouldn’t notice. After waiting for so long, Yuki showed up looking nervous.

“Are you alright? You look nervous today… by the way can I have my scarf back? You see, it has a significant value to me, my dad gave it to me before he died and…” Yuki perspired even more, he really felt bad that the Naomi’s scarf has been cut to pieces.

“Here!” Yuki handed the bag with the newly bought scarf in it. Naomi opens the bag and observes the red scarf.

“This isn’t my scarf, Yuki.”

“That’s yours, Naomi. I washed it earlier today so it looks new.” Yuki couldn’t look at her in the eye, he even tried to change the subject but Naomi was more focused on the scarf.

“Great weather, isn’t it? The clouds are blue…”

“Yuki, this isn’t really my scarf, I have my name written on it. And look, there’s even a price tag attached to it?” Naomi started to become worried.

“What happened?” She asked, still trying to be calm.

“Yuki, where is my scarf?”

Yuki bit his tongue. He didn’t know what to say to Naomi. He even started to imagine Naomi cursing him or beating him up. Naomi, still waiting for Yuki to speak up somewhat knew that there was something wrong. She didn’t want that it came from her; she wanted Yuki to honestly tell her the truth.

I'm very sorry that I won't be posting a chapter today, I've got loads of homework/projects to finish, but expect a very long one tomorrow. Yuki couldn’t get the right words out of his mouth. He wanted to tell Naomi that the scarf was cut into to pieces and that it was Ms. Kanagaki’s fault. He tried to find the courage to reason out but couldn’t because he was scared that he would be blamed for being irresponsible. Naomi spoke softly again, still trying to remain calm.

“Yuki, please answer me. Where is my scarf? Did something happen? Did you forget to bring it today? Cuz we can go get it later… and…” Naomi took a firm grip on Yuki’s shoulder.

Yuki knew that despite her calm and soft voice, she was really worried about her scarf. He fell silent for a moment. He couldn’t bare not telling Naomi the truth, the words suddenly came out from his mouth.

“It got cut into pieces! It wasn’t my fault… you see…” Yuki was distracted with Naomi’s faint expression. He noticed that she was about to cry. Yuki grabbed her hand but she slapped his away.

“Naomi… I’m sorry… Please…”

“Yuki, don’t!” Naomi took a deep breathe. She turned around and ran towards the school grounds. The school bell rang. The other students heard the argument between the two and rumors began to spread fast. Some thought that Naomi came to her senses and that Yuki wasn’t good enough for her. The other students believed that Yuki used Naomi to become popular. Ayame who also witnessed the incident from a mile away thought that Naomi had decided not to talk to Yuki forever. She approaches Yuki cheerfully while humming a happy tune.

“Yuki, you finally woke up to your senses. Never mind about Naomi, she doesn’t deserve a guy like you anyway. Come now, let’s go to class… we’re late.” Yuki had a blank expression on his face. He was neither sad nor happy. He then felt his arm being dragged by Ayame towards their classroom.

Naomi headed straight for the girl’s locker room. She cried in one corner, covering her face with her hands. She remembered her father from the accident. Flashbacks of Naomi in the front seat with her father when suddenly a truck hit them from the rear side of their car. Naomi came back to her senses, she realized that she have really missed her father. She blamed herself for what happened; if she haven’t forced her father to buy an expensive dress and accepted that plain red scarf earlier, the accident would never have happened she thought. No wonder why Naomi treasures that scarf so much, it was the last birthday present she ever got from her father.

Yuki sat patiently in his classroom, he knew who his teacher was during the first class period of the day, and it was his least favorite teacher, Ms. Kanagaki. The whole class wondered why Ms. Kanagaki was late. They knew that she never came late for her morning class. Yuki hoped that something bad happens to Ms. Kanagki, probably gets kidnapped or killed in an accident. The door opens; it wasn’t her but a substitute teacher for her class.

Yuki was surprised to see him; he knew that Ms. Kanagaki left the house earlier to go to school. He didn’t expect her not to be there.

The short man wearing his yellow tie came in the classroom and hissed at the students at the back. He opened his mouth to inform a shocking news.

“Ms. Kanagaki your chemistry teacher got hit by a bus earlier today. She’s in the hospital right now and hopes that…” The students broke in laughter. Yuki felt relieved, and thought that Ms. Kanagaki deserves even worse. He imagines the scene of her getting hit by a bus and crushed to death which made him laugh.

“SILENCE! Now, I know that deep inside you all… you still have a heart that cares for Ms. Kanagaki.” The students laughed again. The substitute teacher got really pissed at the students and left the classroom. Yuki found an opportunity to find Naomi and apologize. He went straight towards her classroom but she wasn’t there. Where could she be? He thought. He searched the whole school except the girls’ locker room. He wouldn’t dare go inside but if it were for Naomi, he’d do anything. He slowly opens the door and saw nobody there but Naomi sitting in one corner sleeping.

She probably didn’t have enough sleep from last night or the crying made her weary. Yuki carried Naomi and brought her to the infirmary to lie down; the nurse was kind enough to assist them to a vacant bed. A few hours later, Naomi woke up and sat up straight. The first person she saw was Yuki. His arms were resting on the right corner of the bed, his face bowed down. He was taking a nap. Naomi didn’t know whether to be angry or happy. Mintes later, Yuki wakes up and saw Naomi starring at him.

“Are you alright?” He asked.

“Sort of.” Naomi bit her lower lip.

“I’m sorry about earlier, I know I overacted. To be honest, I was hurt, but then I realized that my father would have not wanted to see me crying over a scarf.” She smiled.

“I should be the one saying sorry, I was irresponsible. I didn’t…”

“Ssshhhh…” Naomi placed her finger on Yuki’s mouth.

“There’s no need to apologize... I really miss my father and I don’t want to cry over a scarf, even if it meant so much to me. But because of you I’ve realized that not only that scarf did my father will be remembered of but of the happy moments he shared when he was alive.” Naomi took Yuki’s hand.

“Thanks, Yuki.” She went near his face, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Yuki blushed.
“Naomi… I’m really thankful to have met you.” Yuki said.

“It is I that should be thankful… You really look cute when you sleep.” She giggled.

The door was half open, unfortunately Ayame was watching them. She felt really hurt and immediately ran. Ayame liked Yuki ever since they were young, she hesitated to express her feelings, and she wanted Yuki to love her back. Now, Ayame feels that Naomi likes Yuki and Yuki likes Naomi, there was no way would she let that happen she swore she’d do anything to get Yuki’s attention back.

“You know, I’d do anything for you Yuki…. I’m sorry but I have to do this. I have to force you to love me back.” She said to herself.

Ayame knew that Naomi still loves Minoru and the only way will she get Yuki back for herself, was to reveal the truth to Minoru.

Ayame saw Minoru together with the other varsity students playing basketball at the school covered-court. She called out his name but was ignored. She then went closer to where the bench people sat and shouted Minoru’s name again.

“Minoru! I’ve got something to tell you…” She waved at him.

“Can’t you see I’m playing a game?” He said. Ayame raised her brow, and then yelled his name out again.

“Hey Minoru! It’s from Naomi!” Minoru immediately lost his concentration over the game and headed towards Ayame.

She led him in a corner pretending to look cheerful and happy with the news she was about to tell him.

“Hi, I’m Naomi’s close friend…” Ayame lied.

“She wanted me to tell you that she forgives you for kissing that girl on the party and she wanted me to tell you that she still likes you and if you can meet her later at the school grounds she’d want to talk to you.” She concluded.

“Really? This is great! I also wanted to tell her that…” Ayame didn’t bother what Minoru was about to say and left in a hurry.

She knew her plan was going to be work. Minoru and Naomi will get back together, and she can have Yuki for herself.

Meanwhile, Naomi decided to return to class. Yuki thought the same. He brought Naomi to her classroom.

“I’ll see you later… Bye!” Naomi let go of Yuki’s hand and went inside the classroom.

Yuki went inside his classroom and sat to his usual seat next to Ayame. He turned to look at Ayame but caught her in a daydream.

“Ayame, you alright?” He waved his hand in front of her face.

“Yu? Yuki?! Since when were you… Nevermind, Yuki I missed yah!” She hugged Yuki.

“Ok… you can let go now. Ayame!” Their classmates were teasing Yuki with Ayame. Some say that they make a cute couple while the others began to chorus a love song. She then let goes of Yuki; her face reddening.

“Anyway, I’ve got something to tell you…” Yuki continued.

“Me and Naomi…” Ayame knew that Yuki was going to talk about Naomi, she immediately changes the subject.

“Hey, did you know we’re having a field trip this weekend? This is great, isn’t it?”

“A field trip? Cool, sounds fun… now, as I was saying…” Ayame interrupted Yuki again.

“Hey do you know that butterflies have wings?” She knew she asked a very redundant question. It was obvious that butterflies had wings.

“Duh...” Yuki laughed at Ayame’s stupid question.

After classes, Yuki was about to leave the classroom when Ayame pretended to feel exhausted and asked Yuki if he can walk her home today. Yuki didn’t want to because he promised that he’d go see Naomi after class but Ayame was persistent. She knew he couldn’t resist her because she was a friend. He decided to walk Ayame home in a hurry and still meet up with Naomi.

Naomi waited for Yuki in the school grounds; it was nearly an hour since Yuki didn’t show up.

“Hey, Naomi!” A voice called out her name. Naomi turns around and thought that it was Yuki but to her surprise it was Minoru. He hugged her for a second but she let go.

“You said you wanted to meet with me…” Minoru said.

“Huh? I didn’t… who said?” Naomi felt confused.

“One of your friends… you even told her that you wanted to speak with me. What about?” Minoru knew that he had been a bad boyfriend before; he didn’t treat Naomi the respect she deserved but when they broke up he realized that he really loves her.

Naomi on the other hand, still had feelings for Minoru. She sensed Minoru change; he was now the man he wanted him to be. Very calm, sincere and true to himself which reminded her of Yuki.

“What happened to you? You seem different…” Naomi said.

“I just realized that I couldn’t live without you. I’m sorry for everything I’ve done in the past…” Naomi interrupts Minoru.

“Then why’d you kiss Haruka at the party?!” Her voice was getting louder.

“Haruka? I didn’t kiss her… she kissed me.”

Naomi remembers that Haruka made the first move and kissed Minoru. She overacted to the sight of Minoru kissing her and left in a hurry. But second’s later Minoru let goes of Haruka and confessed that he loves Naomi.

Naomi came to her senses and realized that Minoru really loves her.

“I thought you never loved me…” She paused for a moment then continued.

“I’m sorry for misjudging you. I really am. But I…” She thought of Yuki but decided that her feelings for him were uncertain. She then hugged Minoru.

“Let’s just make things the way they were…” She said.

“So does this mean we’re…?” Minoru wasn’t able to finish her sentence. Naomi nodded instantly but she couldn’t escape the fact that she already had feelings for Yuki.

Yuki saw Naomi hugging Minoru from a distance. He felt that his heart was about to break, he wished that he haven’t witnessed this. But deep down inside him, he somehow knew this would happen; he just didn’t expect it to happen so soon. He decided to leave.

Naomi saw Yuki running away, she felt sad that he had to see her together with Minoru again. She continued to hug Minoru firmly as tears slowly ran through her cheek.

“I’m sorry…”

Yuki arrived home feeling miserable, he stomped his feet towards the staircase and into his room. Mimi was seated in the couch drawing an image in a piece of paper while Katashi read a book entitled “Crazy for Love”

“I can’t stand why the main character does not confess her feelings for this guy…” He sighed.

“Dad, look.” Mimi showed Katashi an abstract drawing of a girl and red-haired boy.

“This is me… and this is the boy who I always dream about.” She pointed at the drawing of the boy holding the hands of the girl.

“So you finally learned to like boys now… I’m so proud – ” Mimi then punched Katashi.

“No! It’s just so annoying. Why does he keep appearing in my dreams?”

“Maybe you dreamt about your future partner… when you grow up you’ll understand what love is.”

“I don’t understand.”

Katashi pinched Mimi’s cheek. She was still confused and decided to visit her brother to his room.

“Hey ask your brother if he wants to come with us visit Shizuka at the hospital later…” He turned the next page of the book he was reading and laughed.

Mimi slowly opens the door and saw Yuki sewing the scattered pieces of Naomi’s scarf.

“What an ugly scarf? Why are you still trying to fix that…?” She asked sarcastically.

“Get out! I don’t want to be bothered today…”

“Relax! I came here to ask you something… what is love?”

Yuki paused for a second. And then looked at Mimi with a clueless expression.

“Well… uh… love is… a feeling.” He said.

“What feeling?” Mimi asked.

“Why are you asking me this stuff? Your only three years for Christ sake…”

“Shut up! I’m six years old already; it just happens that I’m short for my age but I have an I.Q. above yours, idiot…”

Yuki didn’t know why he insisted that Mimi was three years old, but he remembered that it has been three years since their mother left them for another man. Mimi was three years old back then; she was still young and needed a mother’s love. But what did his mother do? He abandoned them, he thought. What an uncaring mother, she didn’t even visit them once since their parents got divorced.

“Oh. Love is an unknown feeling… it makes you do crazy stuff you didn’t expect you can do. When you love someone… you care for her, you want to be with her, you want to see her smile, you want to make her happy…” Yuki thought of Naomi and the days when they were together.

Mimi was still clueless; she didn’t know what love is. It was probably still young for her to understand but Mimi saw that her brother has loved someone but from the looks of his face, the one he loves didn’t love him back.

“Anyway… dad told me to ask you if you wanted to come visit Shizuka to the hospital later.”

Yuki’s eyes widened. He was then full of rage and anger to the sound of her name.

“NEVER! I don’t care what happens to her! It’s best if she died! That would even make me happier! Now get out I’ve got something to do…” Yuki threw Mimi out of the room and continued to sew up Mimi’s scarf.

“What a jerk!”

Mimi noticed from the 2nd floor window Naomi’s figure emerge from a distance. Naomi was walking towards Yuki’s house and beside her was a figure of a small boy with red-hair. Mimi jumped in surprise; that was the boy she kept dreaming about.

The doorbell rang. Katashi was the one who opened the door.

“Hi, Naomi. Didn’t see you in Tai-Kwando class earlier. What happened?” He asked.

“Hello Mr. Yamaha, I was in the infirmary this morning… oh this is my brother, Nori.”

“Hi there, Nori. I have a daughter about your age too.” He called out for Mimi but she was shy to go downstairs.

“Good evening sir.” Nori spoke politely.

Katashi welcomed Naomi and Nori to their house. They sat in their couch.

“I came here to talk to Yuki. He forgot to return my scarf the other day…”

“Oh I see… Mimi, why are you hiding there? Come here we have guests but before that call your brother, hurry.”

Mimi ran swiftly towards Yuki’s room and opens the door without even knocking. Yuki was changing his clothes.

“Hey! Can’t you see I’m changing?” He growled.

“Bro! It’s Naomi she’s here...” Mimi jumped in excitement. Yuki didn’t say anything but nodded his head. Mimi then ran to her room to change into her cute girly outfits.

“Why am I doing this? Am I crazy?” She ran back to the living room.

“Hi Naomi…” Mimi spoke differently. Her tone was more feminine compared to her rusty and deep voice. She sat next to Katashi.

“Mimi, how are you? By the way this is my brother… Nori. Nori meet Mimi.” Nori extended his hand to shake Mimi’s hand. She froze then fainted.

“Mimi are you alright?” He asked. Mimi’s face was dreamy and love struck.

Yuki descended from the staircase, his face looked serious and grumpy. Naomi felt the strange atmosphere between them, but she still greeted him.

“Yuki, are you alright? Do you feel…?” Yuki interrupted her.

“Here’s your scarf back.” Yuki gave Naomi her scarf. It didn’t look more appealing than it was before.

“Sorry, I’ll be going out today… I’m going to Ayame’s house to do a group project.” He lied to make Naomi jealous.

“I see… Well we’ll be going then. Bye Mr. Yamaha… please take care of Mimi.” She waved goodbye at Katashi. Nori noticed that Naomi was in a hurry to leave.

“Bye sir…” They both left the house.

Yuki felt that he acted insensitively towards Naomi which made him feel sad. He didn’t want to act that way towards Noami. But it was best if he forgets about his feelings for her, he thought because there was no way Naomi could love him back.

The next few days Yuki ignored Naomi. He felt that it was best if her forget about his feelings for her and start to move on. He spent most of his time with Ayame which made Naomi slightly jealous. She sensed Yuki ignore her and thought that it was childish of him to act that way. Naomi is confused about her feelings for Yuki but is certain that she still has feelings for Minoru.

Naomi then saw Yuki and Ayame sitting together in the school cafeteria laughing on Yuki’s joke.

“Next. Why did the chicken cross the road?” Yuki asked Ayame.

“Um… because it wanted to cross to the other side?” She said.

“No… it’s because…” Yuki wasn’t able to finish his joke when Naomi passed by their table. Ayame greeted Naomi.

“Hi Naomi! Good day isn’t it?” Ayame sat closer to Yuki to make Naomi feel jealous.

“Er… Hello Ayame. Hi Yuki!” Naomi looked at Yuki to grab his attention but he stared at his food, not even dare looking at Naomi. Naomi felt embarrassed in front of Ayame when Yuki didn’t respond. She left them instead.

“So… Yuki do you want to try out for Romeo in the school play?” Ayame asked.

“I can’t act… I’ll screw up.” Yuki said sarcastically.

“Well… our story concept is the modern day Romeo and Juliet; we made Romeo’s character more clumsy and dumb. Not that your dumb, Yuki but you fit to play the part…”

“Nah, I’ll pass!”

“But you can’t! The casting committee has chosen you already. They are the ones who asked me to persuade you.” Ayame giggled.

“What?! What about those who auditioned?”

“Well… they didn’t have auditions for Romeo because they have written your name down already….” She laughed.

“They added me in the school drama without even consulting me… what if I refuse?

“You can’t if you do… I’ll kill you. Kidding! I’ll probably cry…”

“Whatever! Who will be my owww so beautiful Juliet if I play Romeo?

“The casting committee has been running auditions for the past few week and they’ll be posting the names in the bulletin board anytime soon…”

“Well… I guess it wouldn’t hurt to join for a change.” Yuki said.

He thought that if he joined the school drama it would keep his mind occupied and not think of Naomi. After a few hours, Ayame and Yuki headed for the school Bulletin Board Corner where a bunch of students gathered together. They all laughed and giggled.

“Aww… What a cute pair. I’ll definitely watch this school play.” A girl said.

The other students noticed Yuki’s presence and they gladly made way for him.

“Here’s our Romeo!” A boy shouted and the whole group cheered.

“What the… what’s wrong with you…” Yuki then noticed the cast for the Romeo and Juliet Drama posted. He saw his name next to Romeo and when he scanned for the name that played Juliet it was…

“IGARASHI NAOMI?!” Ayame shrieked.

“Of all people why her! I better have a word with the casting committee…” Ayame stormed out of the crowd and headed east of their direction.

Yuki froze, he wanted to scream but couldn’t. He felt as if the world was so cruel to him and wanted to torture him for loving Naomi. Later did he realize that Naomi was behind him. She too was shocked to see her name posted in the cast list. She looked at Yuki for a sign of approval but he left the crowd in haste. Naomi felt sad but she was still determined to find out her true feelings for Yuki, the reason why she auditioned for the part of Juliet.

it really has been tough last week, everything was a total mess. i've gotta submit rushed projects, etc. internet connection got cut, lots of homeworks, i only slept for 3-5 hours. luckily now i have time to get some sleep. nyway i havnt forgotten to post here. wait for the next few chapters, the end chapter will probably be chapter 17 or 19. Thanks for still reading my story.

After classes, Yuki immediately went home. He saw that his things where placed inside Mimi’s small room. He then saw Mimi running up the staircase together with a box of her belongings and brought them towards Yuki’s room.

“What the? Why are you bringing your stuff in my room?” He asked.

“Ei! Son.You see…” Katashi couldn’t tell him the reason why Mimi and Yuki had to switch rooms. It was because of the bet the two had last time, if Yuki could last more than a week with Naomi then Mimi would have to start wearing girly clothes but if he doesn’t Mimi wins the bet, and then she’d switch rooms with Yuki.

“I WON THE BET! I WON THE BET!” Mimi sang annoyingly.

“WHAT BET?” He growled.

“There’s no way I’d switch rooms with her!”

“Yuki, your sister is becoming a lady. You need to understand that…”

“But, Dad! I’m older than her! Don’t I deserve a bigger space than that brat?!”

Katashi was forced to explain the reason why Yuki and Mimi had to switch rooms. Yuki was furious he didn’t expect his father and sister would make a bet on his relationship with Naomi, but he remained quiet. He didn’t argue any further because he felt that the subject will end up talking about Naomi.

“Whatever!” He went inside his new room and shuts the door loudly.

“You’re so evil, Mimi…” Katashi poked Mimi’s shoulder.

“Dad, it’s because I’ve learned from the best.” Mimi gave Katashi a striking look.

Yuki sat in his new and uncomfortable bed. He stared at the childish drawings on the wall and got more irritated just by looking at them. He covered his head with his pillow trying to get some rest but something kept bothering him. It was Naomi. He still couldn’t forget about the girl he first loved. In his mind no one can compare to Naomi’s beauty.

“What am I thinking? Forget her Yuki! She doesn’t love you.” He said to himself. It was a painful truth to accept. He was heartbroken for the past week because of one girl, he thought. Why was he crazy for her? Why can’t forget his feelings for her so easily? Various questions came to his mind until he finally exploded.

“I STILL LOVE HER?!” Yuki immediately covers his mouth in disgust.

“WAKE UP! WAKE UP!” He slapped his face and in that moment the door opens.

“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING TO?!” It was Ms. Kanagaki. She sat in a wheelchair with bandages all over her body. Yuki didn’t expect her to come home so quick. He knew she’d stay in the hospital for about a month.

“AND WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE?!” He growled.

Ms. Kanagaki threw a book in Yuki’s face.

“I CAN’T HAVE MY BEAUTY SLEEP IF YOUR TOO LOUD, IDIOT!”

“UNVELIEVABLE! STOP ACTING LIKE MY MOTHER!”

“I WILL SOON BE YOUR MOTHER YOU BAD MOUTHED BOY!” She threw a couple more books at Yuki but he dodged them. Yuki then kicks her wheelchair out of the room.

“STAY OUT YOU UGLY MUMMY…” He laughed at the sight of Ms. Kangaki crashing in the wall. He instantly closes his door and locks it.

“Finally! Peace and quiet!”

Yuki didn’t go out of his room and slept the entire night.

The next day, Yuki got up early and left for school. He met up with Ayame in their usual bench under the tree near the school’s soccer field.

“Its too early… we’re the first ones to have arrived.” Ayame yawns.

“Whats wrong?” She asked.

“Nothing. I just wanted to stay far from that terror house. Ms. Kanagaki came home yesterday…”

“She survived? As they say, the deadliest of thorns live the longest.” Ayame sighed. She was still weary but the sight of Yuki kept her awake.

“When will we ever go out? Like on a date?” Ayame asked. Her eyes were as if popping out of its socket.

“Ayame, we’re best friends there’s no way we’d work out as a couple. It just feels weird if we dated.” Yuki said.

“Hmph! don’t take to me unless you’ve decided to take me out on a date…” She got up and left him looking grumpy.

Yuki ignored Ayame’s tantrum. He decided to play a joke on himself.

“The first girl that I see starting from now… is the girl I’ll love forever.” He closed his eyes for a few seconds. He slowly opens his eyes and the first girl he saw in front of her was… Naomi. She apparently heard what Yuki have said. Naomi blushed.

“Silly boy, you’re not my type...” Naomi joked to annoy Yuki. Yuki got up from the bench and walked passed Naomi. He tried to ignore her. Yuki then his body stop. Naomi leaned her head against his back and tightly wraps her arms around him.

“But why is it that… you’re the one I love?”

Yuki turns around to look at Naomi. She started to cry as he hugged her tightly into his arms.

“I love you, too. Very much actually.” He whispered into her ear.

“I know…” She looks back at Yuki and kisses him. After a few seconds they let go of each other. Yuki felt as if there were butterflies in his stomach. Naomi felt the same way too.

“What about Minoru?” He asked.

“I officially broke up with him. I told him that I didn’t love him anymore. I also told him that I fell in love… with you.”

“Do you expect him to just take it so lightly? He would kill me for sure…” Yuki choked.

“No he wouldn’t. Minoru’s a changed man, he’ll understand.” Naomi held Yuki’s arms.

“What about Ayame? She’s crazy about you…”

“I’ll deal with her, later. So does this mean… we’re officially a couple?”

Naomi nodded. Yuki jumps for joy like a crazy person and ran across the whole soccer field shouting his love for Naomi. Naomi laughed at the sight of Yuki running in circles.

During their first week of their school play rehearsal, Ayame felt that Yuki and Naomi spent most of the time with each other. She felt extremely jealous at the sight of the two having fun. She attempts to accidentally pour water in Naomi’s shirt but she got the prank instead. One day, Ayame confronts Yuki about his real relationship with Naomi. She corners him to one of the dressing room.

“Yuki! Why all of the sudden your acting so nice around Naomi?”

“Why is there something wrong?” He asked.

“I know there’s something going on with you two. Admit it.” She protested.

“Yes! Me and Naomi are officially a couple.” Yuki answered directly. Ayame froze, she felt as if the whole world was collapsing. She grabs Yuki and kisses him.

“What about me? Why can’t you love me?”

Yuki lets go of Ayame’s grip.

“Please stop! You know I only see you as a friend and nothing more…”

Ayame slaps Yuki and ran towards the backstage exit. Naomi saw that Ayame didn’t easily accept Yuki’s revelation.

“Don’t worry. She’ll be ok.” Yuki looks at Naomi.

“But what if she doesn’t? What will happen to your friendship?” She asked.

Yuki fell into complete silence. Ayame was his only best friend. He always treated her more like a sister and nothing more beyond that.

During the presentation of their school drama both Yuki and Noami felt nervous but their parents comforted them. Katashi called Yuki to give him some words of wisdom.

“Son, you know I’ve always been proud of you… remember that I’ll always be here for you no matter what and I’m proud that you have found the perfect girl.”

“Thanks dad… for you support. Where’s Ms. Kanagaki?”

“I dumped her. I find out who she really was… a cruel *****.”

“Good for you dad… you deserve someone much better. By the way, where’s Mimi?”

Katashi pointed at Mimi who was flirting with Nori at the backstage.

“Those two look cute. Your sister is finally turning into a lady…” Katashi cries.

“Father, you’re terrible. Big boys don’t cry…” He immediately hugs his father.

“Well your show is about to start. Give your best, my son.”

Yuki joined Naomi and the rest of the cast in a small prayer. Afterwards they all prepared for the first scene. The show starts and the audience gives them a loud applause. They cried, laughed and cheered on each characters performance.

And at last the final scene has begun.

“Remember, I’ll always love you …” Yuki as Romeo drops the poison bottle and fell into a deep sleep.

“Nooooo!” Naomi as Juliet cries. The crowd felt shivers up their spine.

“I will forever follow you… even in the next life.”

She then reveals a dagger and pretends to stab herself.

“For never was a story of more sorrow than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” The speaker narrated. The curtain closes. The audience applauded once again.

“Well done!”

“This modern version of Romeo and Juliet is more fun and exciting.”

“Cheers to the cast!”

The crowd gave various comments praising the show.

After the show, Yuki noticed Ayame’s absence. He looked for her everywhere but she wasn’t anywhere to be found. He asked the production assistant as to where she went.

“Where’s Ayame?”

“She dropped out of the production crew a few days ago. She came here earlier to say goodbye… oh! She wanted you to have this.” The girl handed Yuki a letter. He read it to himself and afterwards felt sad.

“What’s wrong?” The girl asked.

“She’s transferring to another school.”

Naomi then approaches Yuki.

“Congratulations! We did a great job…” She kissed him on the cheek.

“Yeah, we did.” Yuki then hugs Naomi. He looks depressing because Ayame wasn’t there but little did he know that she was watching them from afar. She took a short glance at Yuki and leaves.

Yuki and Naomi’s third year in high school has ended. Their relationship grew stronger in the coming years and when they graduated from college Yuki proposes to Naomi and they immediately got married. They lived happily ever after with their newly born son. Ayame never came back to Uchiko town, she is believed to have migrated to another country. Katashi never married again, he was happy raising Mimi who acted more feminine as the years go by. Nori and his mother have moved to another town which made Mimi cry for weeks. He promised that someday he’d come back for her. As for Ms. Kanagaki, she got hit by a bus for the second time and was admitted to the hospital for almost a year. She had changed her profession from teaching to a bus driver.

Well the crazy story of love between Yuki and Naomi has ended. Hope you enjoyed the story and continue to support my future stories.
