[Shinji]

Summary by pazuzu

Ichigo assists Byakuya and slices Kariya with his Bankai. Byakuya also uses his
Bankai and attacks Kariya, but as the two aren't coordinated, they cannot deal
any damage. As the battle reaches a stalemate, Ranshima, the person who created
the Bount, appears before the three.

Im predicting that the fillers are gonna end after this arc, and then start up with another filler arc after the first few fights and The winter war training starts It would allow them to use more characters and develop the fillers a little better IMO. Atleast thats what im hoping happens.

But it looks like this arc is coming to a close very soon, im guessing this rantao person(or however its spelled) will tell ichigo and co how to destroy the bountous.

Well as I've said countless times before, at the current time there's about enough manga for a 26 episode season or so, including the manga that would be released in the meantime. Though, when that ran out it would take another 70 episodes of filler for the manga to get far enough ahead for there to be another 26 eps of official anime.

yeah the filler arc is still to short to allow the anime to start again with the manga. i like the idea of there been fillers in the anime that show training and charecter growth. i would think that there would need to be fillers up to 110 at least that is another 15 weeks.
i just think they are showing the arrancar, as teasers for what is coming

Overall, a good ep, surprised me a lot for a moment, and for a split second I thought it WAS the girl that Ishida went with... just a shinigami(dont ask me why >_<). Was kinda lame how both Byakuya AND Ichigo shunpo'd backwards from the lame machine gun atk from doll, they could went forward and whooped on them something serious, but then agian, thats what I get for hoping during a filler. :(

The whole aside with Ran'Tao was wack to me. I know its necessary to push this arc along but it dragged the episode down especialy after that good sequence of fighting. Nothing with the story is really flowing anymore I think the writing is getting worse and they have to keep constantly backtracking using boring dialogues to explain some prior sequence of events. God fight scenes still fun to watch but he story is getting convoluted.

Byakuya also seemed a little uncharacteristically cold (I mean, he's cold, but not that cold). And the amount of times Ichigo has said "nani?!" in that naggy/whiny voice ... grr.

Other than the animation looking a little square (literally!), the episode was still enjoyable. Looking forward to the next.

This episode was a little weird. The bad animation really threw me off for most of it. The fighting was a bit better than last episode but it's still not great. Byakuya's not stupid. He knows when he needs to cooperate with another person and he certainly should have known that the quickest and best way to get rid of Kariya would be to cooperate with Ichigo, not try to slice them both up. That ticked me off a bit although the fact that Byakuya wasn't getting his butt kicked was a welcome change.

I'm still wondering why they made a point of having Ran'Tao look exactly like Yoshino. I hope this is explained in the future because if it isn't then I don't see what purpose it serves beyond having her haunt both Kariya and Ishida, which is a pretty pointless endeavor.

They all are probably just teasers to keep the people interested and make fans constantly checking back to see when the anime will return to the manga. Whatever the case, it's best to atleast have some hope.. I think it's been atleast a year since Naruto started its fillers, so that should end pretty soon. Bleach, I don't really know, but we can all speculate. I just don't understand why they would have a manga character in the opening.

I think Byakuya was in character perfectly in this episode. I especially loved the part when Kariya made the comment about killing Ran'Tao after destroying Seireitei, and Byakuya attacked him again. Found that quite funny.

The drawing quality really detracted from the episode.. I found the content ok but the drawing and animation were just horrible. However, in the preview the few screens that are shown makes me believe that they're getting some other people to do it <.< just cause the current crappy team of people who did the crappy eps don't accent their lines but in the preview of 97 you can see some accents. Not sure though. Just observing as an artist. You can also see in the preview that the faces are more well formed and proportionate/balanced than in 96.

Interesting episode... I wonder how powerful Ran'Tao is/was suppose to be, if age and appearance is based off of Reiatsu power. If she is one of the oldest, suppose she was equally as powerful as Yamamoto-sama at one point, or do I have something confused?

Byakuya may have know he has to cooperate with Ichigo but thats just his personality, he is arrogant because of his nobility. He would never admit that he needs someone's help, espcially someone who wasnt originally a shinigami like Ichigo. Anyone else think its a possibility that Ran Tao has hidden motives?? After all these years you cant expect her to not want revenge.

Poor Ran Tao... she may look young but she looks as if she has lived a long life. I really like the battle between kariya vs ichigo and byakuya... kariya may have an unbreakable defense but dont they have its limitations? it is really unfair that he can heal/absorve souls to regenrate back to normal... i sure hope ichigo will come up with a battle plan to defeat kariya... but will it be a ishida and ichigo vs kariya fight? lets just hope....

nyway, the shinigami cup was hysterical... it was funny. the captain liked the dog comb that the 69 guy bought thanks to inoues help. lol ;)

come to think of it... how did she manage to live by herself for thousans of years underground. She probably got herself busy with conducting experiments without the use of her shinigami powers but then what about companionship or socialization, ichigo is probably the first person she saw in decades but i might be wrong maybe from time to time she goes out and gets the ingredients for her experiments. I really pity her, being exciled for long enough, making her an outcast to SS. Her character's story should be stressed out and explained furthur in the coming episodes. Is she really a good guy? Or does she have plans up her sleev and might someday attack SS?

Just watched that episode... my only rant is that the art qaulity and animation dropped. :sad There is big difference between the art in Episode 95 and this.

The story is pretty decent overall. The first half was cool to watch... the second half was more story building (slow). I never expected Byakuya to do so well against Kariya. He even gained Kariya's respect. Ran'Tao as a chick was surprising. She's pretty hot looking with the glasses. It's funny to watch Ishida drool over her.

I give this Episode a 7 out of 10 on filler standard. The art/animation was pretty annoying in this episode.

Just watched that episode... my only rant is that the art qaulity and animation dropped. :sad There is big difference between the art in Episode 95 and this.

The story is pretty decent overall. The first half was cool to watch... the second half was more story building (slow). I never expected Byakuya to do so well against Kariya. He even gained Kariya's respect. Ran'Tao as a chick was surprising. She's pretty hot looking with the glasses. It's funny to watch Ishida drool over her.

I think it's good that they can meet the creator so they can find out some valuable information and so that they can also find out how to finish off those wretched Bounto. And duende, I agree with you completely about the best bit being the Shinigami Cup. :p

Seriiously, I thought Ran'Tao was a man from the beginning .. I was suprised when I saw her first time .. otherwise, I would give this episode 8/10 since so much has occured ! Ran'Tao's appearance indicates that we're near the end of fillers !!! :D

liked the ep. not quite sure whether ran'tao is for or against the bounto. she didn't seem to have any resolve to fight and didn't try to assist the bounto (well, for obvious reasons as we already know).

The animation in this series was so slapdash i mean in a couple diffrent scenes it seemed like Jin looked completely diffrent. It could just be me but dang I hope they dont do this bad permantly

I felt that they rushed the story, I mean it's good that the filler arc is coming to an end but what I mean is..all these time I thought the search for RanTao will take more time (being the noob that I am)...

..didn't actually expect RanTao to step up and appear all by herself, but it's all good, it means that the remaining filler ep is lesser that we thought since RanTao already appeared.

The animation was in fact horrible. If it wasn't for the voices and various other things I would say that it was a fan episode created by a fan for fans who would actually bother to watch it. Thank the lord I'm not the only one who thought so.

yeh i agree, the animation wasnt very good... the episode was kinda surprising though since raotao looked almost exactly like yoshino, i think they deliberately made her weak and go to sleep almost right after she met ichigo and ishida just so they could drag the filler episodes longer

Well, ironically, Tsunade and Ran'Tao have the same seiyu (voice actor).

Thought I heard the voice somewhere before.

everything was ok in this episode, but i especially liked the shinigami golden cup. its the second funniest on my list. and they showed ulquiorra in the opening, but i dont think the fillers will end soon. i wont mind another filler arc.

Well I love the Shinigami cup and the voices actors for the previews of chapter 97. THe battle was nice. Bykuya gets on my nerves with his emmtionless stuff but he is a charachter that rocks.
