View Full Version : Anyone gonna watch F1 after this year?
Michael Shcumacher will retire after this year and thier has been alot of questioning if F1 will still be popular after he leaves.
Will you take the time to watch F1 with him gone? You will if hes not yer favorite driver and realy love F1 but for the common fan they might lose intrest cause most just know the man who drives the Red Ferrari and is stats wise the best ever.
I know I will. I love Ferrari and Kimi has always been my favorite next to Michael.
I am gonna watch F1 with or without Schumie, because even though he is the best driver out of the lot, in my opinion, there are others like Alonso and Kimi.

yeah.. dont forget Massa and Kubicca.. in his 3rd race he placed 3rd..

I'd still watch F1 even if he does go. It's still pretty interesting because now that the big gun has gone and Alonoso has 'lost all faith in F1', we can see who's the best out of the rest.

im still gonna watch F1. schumi wasn't really my favorite driver, more of a Kimi fan and now that he's switching to ferrari he's got a better chance to win. oh and if speed is still there next year i'll root for him too.
*edit*
don't forget about ralf he's still a schumacher

Man, I don't think that I'm gonna watch it anymore, Michael Schumacher was the reason I watched it, now, I don't think anyone can go as fast as him.
you know Im not sure if you are European but most american in a survey said they wont watch it. That showed how popular he is here and how no one else is

well that dosn't sound very good for Speed if americans arn't gonna watch because schumi is leaving

aaaannnddd I miss the legendary all star.. Schumaccer (dunno how to spell it anymore T.T )
Yeah. Well Ima gonna. I love Ferrari. I got Felipe Massa winning the championship because he has been quicker than Kimmi in the test. But the might make Felipe the 2nd driver thus having to finish behind Kimmi. Well see.

I wonder if Alonso is gonna have a drop off this year since he moved to Mclaren.
Mclaren has had reliability problems for the last 2 years and I think that will change but the move to bridgestone will have them and everyone else behind Ferrari

Chea Ferrari are leading the test in Bahrain no one is close except Mclaren and that only on short runs.
BTW in case you guys didnt notice Ferrari has a new paint scheme. Its all red, the wing, fenders no white. Bleh I like the old scheme from last year better but this is nice to. The all red is to plain though

Whoa, come on i know there are more F1 fans here >.>
anyways Ferrari grabbed the pole again (massa). should be an interesting race ... oh crap the race is almost on lol (well in 2 hours)
Good win for Mclaren. I dont think they have cought Ferrari yet but have nade the gap smaller. As you could see Kimi was faster over the long run and on harder tires and Massa was fast with softer tires. Their is still a gap in lap consistency. Alonso has always had great taake offs. So I was not surprised when he passed the Ferrari. It will be interesting to see how Ferrari responds in Bahrain and I believe it is safe to assume Kimi is now the team leader at Ferrari. BTW BMW Sauber lookin good. Go Nick

04-09-2007, 11:39 PM
I don't like McLaren now because of Fernando Alonso.. I hate him because he always brags when he wins against michael schumacher, he's so boastful..
LOL Im cool with Fernando. Its a big deal to beat Schumacher. Anyways I looked at a pattern and I believe Mclaren are as good as Ferrari on soft mediums but are not on Hard compounds. Id imagine this weekend will be similar to last with McLaren verry strong cause th circuits are similar and in temps. But Ferrari was faster than everyone their durrin the test in February. I think anyone can be as good as Hamilton like Fisichella or Jenson if they were in the McLaren car

Bleh they put the arguably the hardest or second hard track back on. Yeah Im atalkin bout Spa. But the also took of aguabl ythe hardest and drivers favorite track Suzuka. It stinks Suzuka is IMO and echoed by many drivers as the hardest race track.

Renault is being funny this year. McLaren took advantage of their car already.. and Mclaren is lucky to have hamilton because he has a nice driving.
Yeah. I believe this is Mclaren again. I think Lewis has sligh bit of more fuel on board. Not sure but we will see. I think Raikonen will win tommorrow. I dun have faith in Massa after his agresive driving. Kimi is called the ice man for a reason

What!? Kimi has a win and a total of three podiums this year, how is that a disappointment. It's just that McLaren has been good this year, and will challenge Ferrari throughout the year.
Yah know, it will be interesting to see who wins in testing. Both teams have bew parts and we will see who has the advantage. Ferrari is still ahead. But Mercedes is alot closer. Its interesting. The thing with Kimi is he can not qualify ware Massa is and that prevents him from challenging. Also Ferrari have never been known for having as good as launches as the McLarens and Renault's for some reason.
Does anyone want a bet as to who will win the next F1 race?

he's only got two top tens in the NNCS. he hasn't been stellar because he's only a rookie and learning a new form of racing (plus the new CoT). Although i expect to win at either Infineon or Watkins Glen...
w/e Im gonna give yall some meat to eat tille Barcelona. Ferrari have tested a updated version of the F2007 which is said to be essentially a new car. Ferrari claim they are from .5- 1 second fasted. McLaren will take the new front wing Spainish Gran Prix. David Coultard set Fastest lap of testing in Barcelona .2 ahead of Raikonen. So hmm Id imagine light fuel load. Massa was quoted saying if Ferrari wanted go faster they could. Anyways Ferrari is making new being fast and McLaren to for having a odd front wing.
JPM aint all that. But he is good. Doing good for being in a Dodge. But at the driver tracks like short tracks he has struggled. I will hold my opinion till after this week ware they are at the toughest track in NASCAR.

BMW will win?? i don't think so.. maybe if the renaults and the farraris crash they would be the winner but that's impossible
BMW unlikely unless its in the wet like Honda last year. Anyways excitig news, Thier could be a 20 race season next year we know their will be 2 more in 08 with the edition of Singapor street circuit (likely a night race) and Valencia (street cicuit). And their is talk that the Pacific Grand Prix could come back and to most of the drivers favorite track Suzuka.
Anyways
Not suprised Ferrari is on the pole. McLarens wing looks to be illegal because you can see it bending in the corners. I think a Ferrari will win tomorrow their race pace is better than McLaren. The only way I see Mercedes winning is if its like Malaysia ware 1 runs off and the other holds them up. I could be wrong though.

I guess Alonso wouldn't let himself lose in his hometown... but i still hope ferrari wins
Yah know I might attend the other race at Singapor if its at night. instead othe one in April. about 6 hours to green. McLarens wing will be taken off or banned in the comming weeks. You can see that it flexes

The pit crew today was too erroneous. first, the ferrari car burned while driving from the pit.. second, heidfeld's crew were too slow in chaning the tires..

Massa won today :headbang
I knew a Ferrari would win. Look at Massa avoiding Alonso till the podium pic. We go testing next week I belive. Im not sure I will look, maybe no offical test at 1 track. Kimi has terrible luck. Hamilton get by him but he keeps 3rd but has a elecrtic problem. Alonso has a damaged car. Mass was quicker by a about .8 seconds at some time. The F2007 is verry quick in race trim and qualifying. Anyways I see Ferrari winning at the Grandest of all Gran Prix in 2 weeks. Ferrari were quicker than anyone at Monaco last year it was just Schumachers qualiying move. Schumacher would have one. Ferrari is said to be better with mechanicle grip while McLaren is better with aero. Well it looks like Ferrari is better in both now. Anyways I hope Ferrari protest McLarens ILLEGAL wing. You can see it was flexing down on straits and would go up on braking. Just like they protested Ferrari's suspect barge board in Australia. This was as plain as daylight. If Ferrari really want to push it they could have McLaren DQ'd. That would be something. I would not be suprised if they gave protest ith Kimi getting no points because it is clear this will be a close battle.

Bloody Indians game, made me miss the race >=/
BMW almost won, i tells ya they are capable of winning this year
That Hamilton fellow he's is gonna be good
edit: all cars that finished the race where on lead lap...
nah man this race was mucked. robert had a broken leg. That crash was fucking awful man! He could have died from that shit. after he came to a rest, he was not even moving man and I was like, 'holy shit please say he has not died'
but well done to hamilton, who won his first trophy coming in first place.

i will watch F1 till i bored with F1
Well Im not suprised I did see Lewis winnin t not in the North American rounds because they are Ferrari tracks but Ferrari are not doin good. Anyways I guess everyones veiw on Kimster and Massa being way better with the F2007are being wrong. It was obvious the F2007 was way better than the MP420 but its obvious Alonso is way better than anyone in the paddock at developing the car proof is the fact they were a second slower than Ferrari at melbourne and are now quicker. It shows that Kimi can really not develop the car and is not a good technical driver and Massa was benifieting with Schumachers technical mastery. Alonso is the complete new package. Unless the Marenllo based team as Micheal Schumacher drive in test to further develop the car than I do not see them capturing McLaren this year unless Mclarens reliablity goes back to being bad.
Guess who is in Indianapolis!!?!?!!?
Yep me.
Ill be here for most of the weekend And I will see the Grand Prix then I will fly to Michigan for the NASCAR race that same day
You lucky so and so.
Yeah you are true about the north american tracks being ferrari, so is indianapolis but the way they are performing right now, you never know. Massa could pull it off.
Possibly because in Canada Ferrari had more fuel on board and when the saftey car came out the did not get to use it.

We are back in the European Schedule!!! and we have produced!!!! We were clearly faster than the McLaren Mercedes of FA and LH. It seems obvious our revised car is verry goood and we are better than Mercedez on medium high downforce which are the majority of the remaining races. We shall capture England next week in which Kimi was fastest thier in testing last week!!! But it will be tough because it is Lewis Hamiltons and Mercedes home race so they will push hard. We can win thier

dang i missed alot of races because of the schedule.. i hope i can catch up on british gp.. i see ferrari did well in French GP and Raikkonen is also catching up.
I think we will be even better in Silverstone because Kimi said they did not get alll the parts on the car. Like which I assume is the new suspension teseted thier last week. It should be interesting to see if that is the new stuff because suspension is a major compenent of the car. I assume thier will be another few upgrades as well

Har har! Kimi won. The Ferraris were way 2 fast. We shoulda had a 1-2 if Massa did not stall on the Grid. 2 week we go to Nürburgring ,Formula 1 Layout - GP-Strecke for the European Grand Prix, similar to Silverstone, and other med-high downforce tracks. We will continue to develop the car at up comming test.

They are testing in Spa this week I think

Yay Kimi has won two in a row, but he still has a long way to go... (one must think that hamilton will eventually hit a wall... not literally). Hopefully Kimi can keep this up, instead of being uhh his usual self. Just once i'd like to see one of these cars take on the Nordschleife... only for a lap. but the car would crap out...
Yeah we would have. But still it is good. Hamilton had to conserve his engine to prevent it from burning out, so that is good for ferrari cus hamilton still has to use the same engine at the nurenburg in two weeks.
Haha thats good. He was already on light fuel to get the pole anyways and was way slower on light fuel with the prime tires on than Raikkonen with the softs on heavier fuel. Ferrari had to turn down the revs in France and England to. You dont think that Hamlin out front was not running 100% or Alonso out front 100% to build a lead before the last pit stops? LOL
You read to much into what Ron Dennis says. He never looses gracefully. He said in another interview Ferrari were to quick. After They were passed by Kimi they turned the revs down because they couldnt keep up anyways.
Finally the Ice Man is back.
..hei..what about hamilton...he's great but i still wish massa or raikonen will be the champ this year.
I think Hamilton is doing great and if he stays more consistant he deserves to win it. But to me he realy is not deserveing from a who has been around. Im saying Id like to see a guy who has been around longer. BTW
Our Ferrari B team(McLaren Mercedes) was fastest in Spa today by .8 over Ferrari. You can never tell who is doing what in testing but this seems like it might have been a glory lap, but this circuit is similar to Indy, and Canada
I'll watch it, But only to have something to talk about or rag on.
after schumi retired i lost my interest. don't even bother to look who won and such.
Thier will be no more F1 in Indianappolis next year and possibly not in America either. I saw this comming the the president of both IMS and F1 are cheap skates and butt heads. America is the F1 manufactures largest customer market. O well looks like I will be doing more flying around teh world.:]

They were my favorites because thier is the most overtaking thier. It cost to much money to host F1 many countrys might loose thier race like USA, France. Austrailia, Britain are possibilities

Well Hamilton's Streak finally came to an end, must've been miserable conditions during the race. Kimi pulled a Kimi as usual :rolleye09
Finnally Hami is out of the points. This should have been a Ferrari 1-2 with out the rain. And I think Kimi is faster than Massa in the wet just because he is verry good at Spa. Ferrari need to improve reliability for the championships. Last race Massa had a problem, this race Kimi has one. Alonso is a asshole blaming massa for the contact and acting like a child after. And screw Ron Penis, I hope this thursday the FIA at least penalizes McLaren 15 WDC WCC points for both dr5ivers and Mercedes if they are guilty.

F1 has proven that they don't care much to be in the U.S."We didn't reach an agreement... Let's see if we miss America," Ecclestone said
A lot of the fault is Indy's owner Tony George. He's also the reason CART split into Champ car and IRL which as seperated series aren't even close to the past glory of CART.
Anyone hear about the Button situation. Jenson Button says that if he doesn't get winning cars from Honda next year he will quit F1. Of course he just signed a 1 year contract extension also.
Well I can not believe that McLaren has not been penalized for having 780 pages worth of Ferrari notes. I belive thier should be a penalty, first of all they got the notes from a emplyee and used it to take away Ferraris floor board, they got it and dont even try to give the information to the FIA or aanything. Its like Ferrari is playing poker with people who know what thier cards are.
Anyways a few of the manufactures are already cryin that F1 needs to be in USA for manufacture purpose not for racing

Oh wow, McLaren is in deep deep shit... already lost the constructors championship and fined $100 Million (US).
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/6991147.stm
What a weak penalty!!!! The drivers arenot excluded!!! McLaren used Ferrari data to improve their car and the drivers dont benifiet!!! What SH*T!!!!!!?!?!!? IS THAT?!?!?!?!?! McLaren got off light! I hope they apeal this penalty so The drivers can be thrown out as well. I hope Ferrari kills them in Spa this week! We will see Tomorrow

Well i guess they still had to drive the cars in order to win :rolleye09
Either way conspiracy nuts are gonna have a field day with this, because generally the constructors title is more coveted (I wish they did this to the pats... not the $100M).
They cant have four Ferrari cars in the grid though. I would have rather seen both drivers banned this year and exclusinon from the 07 and 08 constructors title than a 100 mill fine

McLaren IS excluded from the Constructor title. Hamilton and Alonso can however compete for the Drivers world championship.
edit: and they are excluded in next years constructors title as well
I know that they have been DQ'd from the 07 constructors title. But they have not been banned from the 08 constructors title, thats just a possibility, who ever told you that is being premature
I hope that Alonso gets back to Renault ;_; I don't like how Hamilton makes fun out of him... and McLaren seems to like more Hamilton as a driver than Alonso =/
It would be also wonderful if Alonso went to Ferrari.
After everything that happened with the spionage and stuff, will McLaren drivers be freed after the championship?
What do you mean by freed? I know that Alonso will almost 100% be gone no matter what. I know I heard that their is something in Nando's contract that says if McLaren are found guilty of breaching in sporting codes he can opt out I think. I doubt Lewis will go he is to much of Rons boy to leave McLaren hanging in the wind.
What do you mean by freed?
I meant if they will be able to leave the team.
if McLaren are found guilty of breaching in sporting codes he can opt out
I hope they are found guilty...
Will Raikkonen be in Ferrari next year?
Yes he will. Kimi has a 50 mill contract for Ferrari till 2009.
50 mill contract for Ferrari till 2009.
Crap, that's a lot ;_;
Btw, in this week's GP the four first drivers:
Raikkonen
Massa
Alonso
Hamilton.
Who do you think will win?
Rorschach
09-16-2007, 03:59 AM
Why does super best friends have 4 points?
I think it'll be a Ferrari 1-2 Uhh With Kimi winning.
It was easy to see it would be a Ferrari 1-2 here. Raikkonen is money at Spa. Im glad Alonso stayed ahead of Pam. 2 week till the Japanese GP in Fuji (not Suzuka) they say that is a McLaren track which requires alot of Mechanicle grip
..Alonso will drive for ferrari alongside kimi next year..massa will drive for toyota but who will replace alonso at Mclaren....???
Thats speculation but if Jean Todt is still team principle he we will not alow Alonso their because Todt's son Nicholas Todt is Massa's manager. But its said that Jean a the owner of Ferrari have fallen out an Todt is on the exit and Ross Brawn will return to be team prinicple. Anyways great race today here in Japan I was their! Its so amazig how much better F1 is in the rain.

Kimi was really lucky. I didn't expect him to win because I thought he was too far behind hamilton.. Big win for Kimi and Ferrari
Their is some bs about BMW and Williams having their fuel to cold. But the FIA said that not enough was proved to show that it was an advantage. I also want to say this still could just be a rumor started by someone most likely McLaren. I find it funny how those 2 teams would cheat in the last race of the season when their drivers and constructures points are already decided.
