Knitting, so you were serious about this lol, well this is considered a hobby. I can sow/sew (however the **** you spell it...) pretty well, does that mean im a man that can do a sterotypical woman's job?

It's quite sad really. My friend Frank (a big guy) can knit. In fact, he's the LEADER of the knitting club. I found this quite funny until I saw what he could do. Man. That guy can knit. Er... as for me. Meh. Maybe if I have a next life...

.. I actually HATE knitting, sewing, and all those. Unfortunately, Intergrated Technology- sewing, etc is compulsary, so I was FORCED to do it. All I made was a toy frog and a toy ladybug.

I actually can knit! Specialty is square things or rectangle things... haven't quite mastered curves yet :P But I make kickin rad scarves \o/
My grandma taught me to crochet at three. That is much easier to me, and the patterns aren't as complicated lol.

I tried knitting, didn't like it. Drops of blood was involved, lol. But if I have a hole in my shorts or something, I can patch it up, no biggie.

Just another skill that needs to be known.

Like IRONING or TIEING A TIE. I'm surprised how many boys I know can do neither, and I'm in college :o

I was wondering why there were no threads about this... I'm a pretty hardcore knitter and crochetter... Just picked up cross-stitch and embroidery recently but I've never been too good with a needle and thread. I have to figure out my sewing machine pretty soon though because I have to make my Halloween costume. But yeah, I'm currently working on a knit halter tank top... I basically have a bikini part right now and am almost finished with the back, but I'm not sure what I want to do with the front, stomach part. Any ideas?

I like both knitting and sewing, but I prefer sewing. I just made myself a Selphie costume for Finnish cosplay event. ^^ And know I'm helping my friend with her costume.
I've made lots of shirts, socks, mittens, bags, ponchos and other stuff. Most of them at school, though.
It's nice to do clothes by yourself, because that way you get an unique piece of cloth and nobody has the same kind.

Knitting an crouching is fantastic, but I'm not very good in it. I love gauntlets (don't know if that's the right vocabulary, I mean long gloves withour fingers ^^). They're not easy to find in the shops or very expensive. So I made them by myself and I'm crazy about them *gg*.

Knitting is my passion....I did a lot of scarves. I leaned manual types of knitting such as purl and regular...the garter is a torture to learned badly.

stereotypically sewing wasn't always a woman's job..there was a time when it was the men who made and tailored clothes..it's cool that you feel comfortable enough with yourself to admit you like it...everyone has there own gifts they should use them...life is too short to do what everyone else wants...sorry for the rattling on it must be the mom in me..

I knit a little but I have a problem with holding the needles correctly, which is kind-of funny because I am a seamstress by trade; tailor and design clothes, crochet, embroider, cross stitch, quilt, and something most people don't know anything about or even heard of, and that's tatting :it's a form of making lace. I also do some other crafts like drawing, carving and woodburning, but can only work on them when my kids are at school.
