I did one for Byakuya and I decided to add sakura petals behind. They look a bit weird but I got 4 favs in 10 minutes. The world is strange.

Can anyone give any tips for painting? Like what filters to use, what settings to change and what brushes to use?

no tips from me, i'm hopeless in this sort of thing... but i just wanna say, great coloring, maybe change the sakura petals to a lighter color would help... but yeah, it's very pretty as it is...

i guess i can draw, i have some of my stuff up here....
anyway! really really nice, i like the shading and everything, i would have to agree with cook32 with the sakura petals, just make them a little bit lighter, like a more pinkish color.

When you say 'painting', do you really mean that you painted it or that you did it on the computer? (just wondering)

Anyway, it's great and looks almost identical to Kubo's ;).

Wait... I guess I didn't make myself quite clear about this.

Basically what I did is just take the Kubo-drawn lineart and then use Photoshop to paint it. Yeah. So it looks like the real thing, because it IS the real thing. Sorry for any confusion or let-down (people keep thinking I drew it, but I wish).

I was about to say: "Whoa! YOU DREW THAT?!?! It looks EXACTLY like Tite Kubo's art!" But then I didn't.

But at least you did the awesome coloring ;) Did you do the shading too? Because that looks like it would have taken a looooong time. Good show! And nice to see an honest person ^_^

Lol, yes... I am quite proud of that. You should try to find places where you can download free paintbrushes and prints and stuff... But that had NOTHING to do with the fact that your program is messed so I'm gonna shut up now ^_^

wow. its a very nice art you've done. if you want some advice, i would say use a paintbrush and just start dabbing all over the place. then use the smudge tool and smudge the dots to make the end of the petals. then i guess you can add some shadows and light texture to it. but thats just me. keep up the great work! good luck with it! >XD
