((Kuro, if you fight me, NO SHIKAI! Grr. Well, maybe. I just got a pwnage item. So I might as well see what it does. xD))
Hayate enters the familiar training area once more, looking around for any opponents that may be hanging around.
Hmph. There haven't been any worthy opponents lately...
The now familiar voice speaks to him...
"Well, we take what we can get, do we not, my dear?"
Pausing for a moment, Hayate decided that she was right.
Yes, I suppose that is true. A fight is a fight...

Unsheathing his zanpaku-to slowly, Hayate looks at Kuro and smiles.
"Very well then, my friend. Now that you know the name of your zanpaku-to, perhaps you would deem to tell me it? But first, allow me to show you my strength!"
With that, Hayate springs forward, zanpaku-to raised in front of him in a classic kenjutsu stance, proceeding to release seven precision strikes on Kuro, designed mostly to warn him not to underestimate him then actually damage him.

Kuro sees Hayate's attack and tries to block it completely but it managed to cut deeply into his shoulder. In response he only grinned and said this.
"Awake! Reiketsukan!"
Suddenly Kuro zanpakuto glowed a deep red like fresh spilt blood, before exploding in a blinding shade of red. When the light subsided, Kuro's asauchi was replaced by a rather wicked looking blade which looked like a blood stained bat wing. Streaks of blood ran across the blade, and it was as if the blade itself was bleeding.
So this is what my shikai looks like...
"Reiketsukan... vampire king... this is my shikai."
Kuro turned to look at Hayate before rushing in to attack. He was eager to find out his shikai's ability.

Hayate is stunned by the release of Kuro's shikai, but manages to hold his composure together. The twisted nature of Kuro's shikai surprises him, for that did not seem to be the way Kuro is.
I always thought that zanpaku-to reflected the inner nature of its owner...was I wrong? Was everyone wrong?
As Kuro speaks his zanpaku-to's name, the little hairs on the back of Hayate's neck tingle and stand on end, as though the air in the atmosphere is electrified...
Vampire king? What could the abilities of such a dark and twisted blade be?
In his distraction, he hardly notices that Kuro is attacking. Suddenly, a fierce and deadly attack slices through him, causing blood to spurt out of his chest. Hayate stumbles backwards and grabs his chest, surprise in his eyes, and a little bit of fear on his face. When he pulled his hand away, there was nary any blood on his hand.
Did...it...drink my blood?
The voice inside of him was practically screaming at him.
"We must get away from this blade! It is dark and sinister! It feeds upon us! Finish him quickly!"
Hayade nods grimly, with resolve forged deep within his heart showing through his eyes. He steps off with his left foot, catapulting himself towards Kuro, who is standing there with a rather maniacal smile on his face.
"Gyosho! Takuchu-Ken! Gen-Ei!"

Kuro avoids the full brunt of the damage and diverts the attacks away from him, but the strength of that last blow was too great and slashes through his defense, crushing his guard and dealing a gash straight down the middle.

Kuro grins rather deviously before rampaging his way towards Hayate, he seems to be growing stronger with each attack and even at the sight of blood!

((The roll is actually 9 to beat, due to Cosmopolitan. But you would have beaten it anywho. :) Also, where did you get 4d6 from??? NVM, I see it now. 3d6 is our normal roll, and you have a 1d6 from Greater Iron Will. :P ))

Hayate curses as the blade bites deep into his flesh again.
Damn, there seems to be no way to stop him! I have to find a way through to attack him! I have to try something, quickly!
With a quick flip of the wrist, Hayate kicks off of his right foot, flipping over Kuro's head in a twisting front flip, and landing behind him, begins his assault on Kuro's unguarded sword arm.

The pain in his arm was quite amazing, it surely surpassed any pain threshold that he normally held, but for some reason he seems almost unaffected, continuing to attack his opponent relentlessly. Hayate's fancy movements did not phase him in the slightest, the only effect was the fact that his sword arm was injured.
"You are in for it now! hahahaha!" Kuro laughed at Hayate with an even more devious look on his face.
That's it! Revel in your opponent's impending loss!
Yes... NO... only YOU gain power from the blood, not I! Don't lure me into your madness, you are just my tool!
No, we just use each other my boy! It's a mutual understanding is it not?
Kuro flinches at the memory of the bitemarks on his neck and the evil grin of his avatar. Shrugging off Reiketsukan's words, he then dashes in for a full frontal attack like nothing had even happened.

((Lol, btw, my item got approved. I'm not going to pull it out in this fight though. Just let me tell ya....it pwns. Big time. Lol.))
Hayate deflects one of his attacks, but takes the damage of another on his shoulder blade. The strength of the blow is overpowering, and it causes him to stumble back a little. Obviously, something was happening to Kuro. The look in his eyes was nigh ravenous, almost as if something evil were creeping up into his soul.
"We must wound him further, my dear, hurry, attack him again!"
With a slight nod, Hayate pushes off to the left, performing a sideways roll, followed by a front handspring, which places him on Kuro's left side.
"I apologize, Kuro, but I must do this to you."
With a quick, yet decisive blow, Hayate strikes at Kuro's left arm socket.
((Yeah, I can use Called Shots as much as I want according to Hattori. So here goes))

Fighting off his zanpakuto's effects, Kuro gasped as the pain from his arm finally registered, only to realize Hayate's blade sinking into his arm again. Kuro yelled in pain before withdrawing from his opponent. He is now finally back to himself again. Breathing heavily Kuro faced Hayate with a grim smile.
"So... now I know what my shikai does haha. The more blood it tastes from my opponent, the stronger my zanpakuto's attack... this has been educational Hayate!"
Kuro grinned, this time with honest anticipation. His arm didnt have much strength left in it so this will most likely be the final attack.
"Lets do this!"

((LMAO! THIS IS GETTING CLOSE! Rofl. This is the most awesome fight I've ever been in. Well, let's try for the off the wall chance attack. :P Last ditch attempt ftw!))
Hayate blocks another one of Kuro's attacks, but a quick follow up slashes his chest open, causing yet another gush of blood to flow down his torso.
"AAAAGH!"

He realizes that he cannot hold on for much longer, and readies his last ditch attack.
I hope this works...give me strength, my unknown friend.
Hayate spots an opening and takes it, speeding up his attacks with Hohou, then forcing all of his Reiatsu into his blade, then forcing it as deeply into Kuro as he possibly can. To follow up, he bounds high into the air, bringing his zanpaku-to crashing down upon his opponent.
"Gyosho! Kokon-Uron! Gen-Ei!"

Once again, Hayate lands another powerful series of blows onto Kuro, and leaves him reeling back in pain. He can't believe that he is still standing, and he neither could he believe that this fight is so close. He was really enjoying this fight and almost didnt want it to end.
"Almost... heh..."

Kuro flicks the blood off his sword before once again charging head-on. At the last moment, he vaults over his opponent in an attempt to perform an overhead slash at Hayate's shoulder to finish this battle once and for all.

Hayate slumps to the ground after Kuro's latest onslaught, his legs and arms shaking from exhaustion. He still smiles as he looks up at Kuro though, happy that he could have had such a great fight.
"Ah, that was a good fight, Kuro. Now, if you can just get me back to my dormitory, I have a potion there that will heal me right up. I managed to procure it on a recent mission... Anyway, I think you should be careful with that shikai of yours."
Hayate coughed a little.
"I think that...it may be a bit...twisted."

Right after Kuro had struck Hayate, his zanpakuto reverted back to its unreleased form.
Tch... you are a bad sport Reiketsukan...
And you are a horrible warrior shinigami, but i guess this is a good start. Soon you shall see my true ability, soon.
"Sorry about the insanity Hayate haha..." Kuro apologized
"I think you should be careful with that shikai of yours... it may be a bit...twisted."
"I'm learning to get the hang of him, it might take a while longer but I think im making progress, albeit slowly..."
Kuro walked towards Hayate before propping him up onto his shoulder and carrying him back to his dorm.
(OOC: awesome fight haha, i want a rematch already lol. my shikai really isnt that powerful yet with its current ability, but it does help a bit. funny how i got you down to 1hp lol
