I really have to get caught up. It's just a shame 'zerk has drifted from the gritty manga it was in the retribution/Black Swordsman arc. But hey, it would've gotten stale with all that stuff constantly.

i remember watching a bersek dvd, where it explained gut's past. it looked pretty cool.
but back then i didn't know that anime.
since everybody is reading the manga, and says how awesome it is, i guess i'll join the party too. :)

Heh, I got the entire series on dvd. Love it. I want to get Gut's swords and armour made. I also like Griffiths Helmet. But most of all I like the fights and the gore.

I loved the anime! I have an A1 poster of the main characters, minus the Daemons and when Griffith was still a human! Where can I get the manga and does anyone know when the 2nd part of Berserk will be released, the part that explains how he escaped the Daemons to begin with!
I heard they started working on it in the beginning of the year...

Berserk is one of the best magas ever and that is a fact. No other manga on the market has as much feeling in it as this one.
When Guts is pissed it actually send a shiver down your spine...
Remember the voulome when Griffith goes bad and the deamons do ______ to Caska?
I was traumatised by that chapter! I mean it! Every time I pass by it in my computer I get a sick feeling in my stomach.
I have never read that voulume again...

I'm a big fan of Berserk, the quality of the manga artwork is outstanding. The story line is one of the best. I highly recommend this manga. I am also on the www.skullknight.net forums, have been for about a year and half I beleive. My forum name on there is Zelz.

I just started reading this yesterday, and i am mad at myself for taking so long to start the manga. I read the first 3 volumes and stayed up until 4 AM because it is freaking awesome. As for as i saw, there are about 30 volumes out, so i still have a way to go. It's even better than the anime.

Ia mon the part where Guts leaves the Hawks and defeats Griffith in one strike. I heard that the ending of the anime is a little different from that part of the manga. Something about a skull knight...

Yes, and they left out another characters as well, Silat, and the Tapasa.... you will find out who they are soon enough... Trust me though your in for a WHOLE lot more than the anime.

Any of you know if the PS2 game based on the manga is being or has been released in Australia? And if anyone owns it, does it play as good as it looks?

I beleive it has only been a Japanese release, so you would have to import it and then have a PS2 that can run Japanese games.

I have heard the game is an awesome action game and it sells for quite a bit, the cheapest I could find was like 80 US dollars.

I would suggest reading all of the manga, since the anime doesn't cover some chapters and characters that appear in the manga, and you mighht be confused at some places.

But I think it's like volume 16....

Yes you should read the entire from volume because the anime was just a quick watered down version and they LEFT ALOT and I mean ALOT of out of the anime.
