it was good, they let you hear a lot more of "orihimes" voice of course, in the end i think it was just good, its one of the beginning episodes so iunno it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as like when ichigo battles byakuya or something. For me at least it allowed me to get a little more used to orihimes voice, though i wasn't particularly annoyed with it other than yeah it should be higher and a little more ditzy at times.

JYB was actually a wide variety of power rangers... o_o;; He was also Vash from Trigun, and Kiba from Wolf's Rain, as well as Renton on Eureka 7. Wow, he must be stressed working on two shows at the same time that air on the same network...

I've been wondering this for a little while now...can Ichigo fly/levitate when he's a shinigami/soul reaper? If you pay close attention, he slides on the air when he's knocked out of the room by Inoue's brother...

How many more people are going to keep thinking just because Kon said his name as cone, that's definatly what his dub name is, he's just trying to make himself sound cool, how can you not see that, he will say Kon a lot, and the other characters will always say Kon, people here take other things as well as this way, way, way to seriously and judge things before they've even thought about it, its the most obvious thing in the world, please just think.

I noticed while watching it that Inoue's actor half does her high and more ditsy sounding Inoue voice sometimes and sometimes she doesn't, I think it sounds good that way, especially if when she isn't sounding as high as the original she acts like she does in the last scene with her brother, she sounds brilliant there, I didn't like her at the beginning of the episode though in the whole Hollow in the house and hurting them scene, her acting seemed completely crap for some reason.

In my opinion, I liked how the voices are improving by episode to episode, that's a good + to me.

Orihime's voice part does have its moments.

I realy enjoyed this episode. The voices are deffinatly getting better, especialy the hallows. The hallow in this episode realy did have a madness feel to it, which perfectly portrays the hallows. Orhime's voice isn't as high as the origional voice, but it's still prety damn close. All the actors show the emotian in their lines perfectly and they realy get the exact same feel as the origional! I'm VERY sure this dub will get alot more Bleach fans and make it a realy popular series. And then we will get it in the UK which is even better X3.

It was a slight joke that doesn't do any real harm to the plot. 99.99% of the lines are acurate and make sens.

Well you can't exactly expect American actors to pronounce JAPANESE names EXACTLY like the JAPANESE actors. Someone born and raised in America can't exactly sound just like someone born and raised in Japan, so of course the names are gonna sound different because thats just how Americans speak. Just be glad her name isn't pronounced Tat-SU-kee. Lol.

I do agree that this episode moves rather slowly, but its just as slow as the Japanese version. I think the english voice actors are doing a great job trying to match their voices with the characters. Although I'm sure if someone never watched Japanese anime, the english voices are just fine.
I've more or less shy'd away from english dubbed anime until now, and it has made vast improvements from when I first watched english dubbed several years ago. Occasionally I would watch a show when it came on, but I couldn't stand the pronounciation of names.

I think they need to learn how to pronounce names... it absolutely drives me insane.. Oh, and Ichigo's VA is Vash from Trigun and also Kiba from Wolf's Rain... I love his voice ^__^

Hmm, I've kept up with the three dubbed episodes aired so far and I have to say that they're doing a decent job. Ichigo by far has displayed the most emotions though. I wish Rukia's voice actress would be a little less monotone though. Otherwise, her voice sounds pretty good. I was pleased with Tatsuki's voice and I don't know what to say about Orihime's right now. I guess it'll have to settle in for me throughout the next few episodes in order for me to see how versatile they can all get. I'm really crossing my fingers on Urahara Kisuke's voice though. I hope the actor displays the correct hint of sarcastic tone.

I never heard much sarcasm in Urahara's voice. Ichimaru, though, is sarcasm with two legs.

Mainly, Urahara's voice has this lilting quality to it, and I can tell you now, his voice is probably going to be a little bit feminine. Urahara speaks in a very feminine fashion, which doesn't quite translate well into text for those of us who don't know Japanese. I doubt they'd go overboard, though. Honestly, I think Crispin Freeman could have pulled Urahara off without a hitch, but sadly that won't happen.

Oh, that's right, I never commented on the episode yet. Overall, I was pretty pleased. However, I still don't think Stephanie Sheh has nailed Orihime like I expected her to. She still needs to be more cutesy and slightly high pitched. One other thing that could use some work was, yet again, the Hollow's voice. Liam O'Brien is good, but Sorich seems to want every Hollow to sound the exact same, and that's irritating me. I hope Shrieker gets better treatment than that. He's my favorite Hollow from the first arc, probably because I love hating him so much.

Bosch is doing a bang up job as Ichigo. Same thing for Michelle Ruff as Rukia. No complaints there. By the way, I loved the "captain overbite" line. It was in the Viz manga, and I was hoping they'd keep it in there.

Well, I mean, he has that hint of fluctuation in his tone that sounds sarcastic. I guess not sarcastic per se, but in a way, very laidback and not serious...yet somewhat serious? I don't know how to explain it. Anyway, as long as it has at least some similarity, I won't be disappointed.

Everyone else has been fine thus far. The episode itself was alright (voices excluded or included). This wasn't really a favourite episode of mine, period. I did wish the hollow voice was a bit more "hollow-ish," but oh well. I can't wait till Kon is introduced in the dub. I wonder how that's gonna turn out.

That's because it is currently only showing on Adult Swim in the US. It's not avalable here in the UK yet.

Just like everyone else, I'm getting used to Orihime's voice. Now, I like the other voices(Except for Kon, it's too cocky...) so far, and I'm anxious about the other characters. If you're worried about Urahara, then we're really gonna be in trouble with Yoruichi. But anyways, the episode itself, it bugged me. When Orihime's brother, Now Sora(WTF?! He had no name in the Japanese version!!!), was explaining that he was truly her brother, his voice didn't change back to his normal human voice like it did in the Japanese version.

But other than that, it was pretty good. Then there was the whole thing involving Ichigo sliding accross midair when in later episodes like Ichigo having to use the special cloak to fly in Soul Society, but there is always the fight between Ichigo and "Blade" in the Secret Sword Frenzy.

I think you should lay off when the VAs pronnounce something wrong. Its not fair as Japanese has sounds that English speaking people are just not going to be able to say properly (hell, anytime the name "Ryu" come up, it's pretty much a guerentee to be mispronnounced). It happens when Japanese people try to say some English names as well (hell, watch Noir and then tell me how many times the name "Mireille Bouquete" is said correctly).

Episode wasn't to shabby. LOL. Orihime and her wierd tastes in food. For Sora's change in voice from hollow to human, it was hard to notice it. Only things that help me watch through all of the Dub is the original Intro song and the soundtrack. xD

I always have that awkward shiver when I hear people's new voices from jap to english. You expect like a certain tone in their voices. Same thing applies when I start with dub first then I watch sub.

if i remember correctly, Bleach is shown on AS relatively late.......so it's probably okay to show the parts with a lot of blood since most younger kids are probably in bed (provided parents are responsible enough to give their kids curfews)....

Overall I'd say the episode was well done... and yeah Orihime's brother's name is Sora... for some reason it's translated as Kakkei in the English language manga.... O.o
