I've read American Psycho... I saw the movie first, though, then I figured I might as well read the book. The book is really disturbing. Its like the movie except theres no visual except for what you see in your mind (and from the movie, ofcourse). The writing style of the book is just like the character: very blunt, critical, orderly, PSYCHOTIC. But its a really good book so you should definitely get around to reading it.

Im not really sure of all your reading preferences, but another good book I recommend is The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. If you've read it then you already know its an awesome book. Seeing as your into that sick s*** (lol) check out The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

I've actually read the whole plot outline for The Lovely Bones it seems like a prepare crazy story. Its also being made into a movie by Peter Jackson.

Wow...a Lovely Bones movie by the Great Peter Jackson...that'll be interesting. Lovely Bones kinda reminds me of the movie "Stir of Echoes" with Kevin Bacon? Except told from the perspective of the murdered girl. But yeah thats cool. What other books have you read?

I didn't even know there's was an American Psycho book or movie...
Or maybe i'm mixing up things... Does this American Psycho book or movie have anything to do with the "American Psycho" from the band the Misfits?
----
I just finish reading A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley so im deciding whether to read The Long Walk by Stephen King or The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, who my english Teacher gave to me saying that Won one of the best sale books last year. Any suggestions? Before its too late?:face82:

American Psycho is just a psycho thriller about an American pretty boy... you should check it out subhuman...

I'm not even a huge fan of Stephen King but I just read the synopsis for The Long Walk and it looks really interesting so I'm going to check it out...but for a cool report i think you should read the tipping point because its definitely worth talking about in terms of social changes and contemporary views...

I have a friend who just finished Brave New World and I recommended they read 1984 by George Orwell. They kind of have the same concepts. I just finished a psycho thriller called In The Miso Soup by Ryu Murakami. It's about the underground sex industry that's really big in Japan, and Japanese culture and stuff. It's not a bad book if your into that stuff...Not really book report material I know...LOL...

Well I actually got into reading A brave new world after reading 1984 since they compared both books so much i needed to see the comparison myself.

the tipping point because its definitely worth talking about in terms of social changes and contemporary views...
yes i read similar reviews, that really got my attention so i decided to start with the tipping point, not only that but since its the book my teacher offered me (which he letting me borrow now) he's giving me a test on the book in december or earlier if i finish before for extra points.:redbiggri

Dude, there's so many books I wanna read...I have this entire booklist from barnes and nobles...lol...

ummm...i really don't know all the books you've read...have you checked out In Cold Blood by Truman Capote? If you're into crime dramas and suspense and stuff...thats if you haven't already read it.

Right now I'm reading Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri... It's a bunch of short stories mainly about East Indian Americans and their customs and stuff...Jhumpa Lahiri is a really good writer if you're into that topic.
