It bothers my mind to think that the end was what Hamlet would have wanted. On the other hand, if he just feigned madness why not have compassion and go after the girl and kill his uncle/father? Who in their right mind would allow themselves such hate and revenge to go as far as Hamlet if not mad?
I'm just saying that love and revenge are the strongest feelings one can have yet, Hamlet is more concerned with revenge. Why? Yeah, we all know his father was poisoned, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he had his friends killed and Laertes, though I guess that was more of an accident. His mom dies, his potential lover dies and yet what else is there? Nothing to live for but sweet revenge. In his own feigning of madness he caused more destruction than good.
Anybody got anything else?
