View Full Version : Bush and his memory...

I've noticed a trend. When the country's head guy is elected during a controversial time, he is usually remembered well. Take Roosevelt, during the Great Depression, he was the country's "crutch." He is one of the most remembered presidents. Abe Lincoln was remembered because of his actions during the Civil War. However, presidents such as Warren G. Harding are rarely remembered even though, in this case, he dedicated the The Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers to the soldiers of WWII, WWII, Vietnam, and Korea. It seems that times of conflict play a great role. Will Bush be remembered as a great president just because of his actions after 9/11 and the war in Iraq?

I think that Bush will be remembered as the one who took a stand after 9/11, but I think a lot of it will be misunderstood. I mean, I think Bush REALLY does have good intentions, but everything's not going as planned. Plus, Bush is also blamed for things that have happened that are NOT his fault (like the stock market). So people will probabally remember Bush as someone who declared a usless war, since it seems that most textbooks are based more toward the Democratic side (from what I've learned).

bush will be remembered as the president who has lied to us numerous times and got caught! he will be remember as the dumb president who killed 1000s for the dumbest cause. a cause that he cannnot ever stop because we are a hated country around the world. and now we are hated even more than before because of him! we will never have a good relationship with the world.

i think i have to agree with kivol.... we have caused a lot of havoc because of his decisions..like to bomb baghdad, when sadaam wasn't involved with 9/11. i feel sorry for those people.. it must be hard to put their life back toghether after that, they didn't have any weapons.

Ok, I understand not liking Bush because you think he lied and whatnot.
But judging someone because they choked on a pretzel is a bit immature. Anyone can choke, maybe he was laughing as he was swallowing or something, you know, the press doesn't ALWAYS tell everything that happens.
Grow up and don't judge people because they can choke.
And by the way, I voted for him.

Please don't tell me you are going to justify that opinion by quoting examples from "Fahrenheit 9/11". Even my democratic friends know that that "documentary" is a load of crap.
