I haven't seen the movie yet, FMA was what really got me hooked on anime it was like crack to me, it's a really good show but it isn't as action packed as bleach

Yes I agree FMA was a great anime without much action, I guess its only because it was meant to be more plot based... The movie... I didn't like it much frankly for some reason I was very bored throughout it... Plot was too cliched in my opinion... But then again it might've been only me.. :P

I loved the movie. I almost cried so many times. But I didn't cry because I am a heartless jerk when it comes to sad movies. But I know my sister and Enoch cried! They bawled like babies.

i didn't like the Elric brothers to stay in "our world", preferred them at the other side

The movie pissed me off, I'm a sucker for happy endings. I mean why did it have to end that way :cussing:. In any case, it was an awesome movie, Roy was just so cool. especially the time he came to help out against the ambush at central, Man he just started snapping his fingers blowing stuff up and giving orders at the same time - He didn't even look at the people he was talking to he just looked straight ahead, now in my book that's badass :toocool:

I like the way the writer made it fit nicely with WW2 that was genius not many people have that kind of imagination

The movie was alright. I didn't understand, why did Ed went back to our world for? (Germany) He should have stayed back in his own world.

Hmm...lemme count the many awesome things/things I loved in this movie....
1. Al pretty much surpassing Ed in alchemy. Being able to attach part of his Soul to the "Armor"
2. Wrath finally finding peace with Izumi @ the gate.
3. Gluttony
4. Roy Mustang double snap fire blast against the big german airplane.
5. Eds arm in "Our World"
6. Envy
7. Possible sequel due to the ending.

I bought the movie a couple of weeks back, and I freakin' loved this movie. I already ended up watching it about 4 times, once in the dub and 3 times in the subs with japanese voice actors. I would highly recommend this movie to any Fullmetal Alchemist fan. Heck, you don't even have to be a fan of the series to enjoy the movie, as long as you know what is going on. Now go buy it!

Aww it was such a cute movie! Though I had to dl it and watch it with crappy english subs (MANY spelling/gramatical errors, but it was all I could get at the time) I still LOVED it. I thought "oh crap, they'll never see eachother again, sad ending" but it was all like "love love love! <3~" at the end ^_^ Horray for brotherly love, nothing can break a brother's bond!

after watching the movie on torrent I bought the DVD right away on Amazon for a fairly good price. I liked it a lot, besides the good movie itself, the DVD comes with many extra features and goodies ^^ and yeah, good thing the movie is in Japanese or the English dub.

I'd say everything about the movie went smoothly, till the end -- it was just very "unexpected" and unrealistic...but anyhow this is a very nice sequel to the animation series.

The conquest of Shambala was an alright way to end the serie's(the anime at least) but I reckon it may have satisfied more people if they ended up in their world, not this one.

@snowman: yeah I agree...but the manga is contiuing so you don't have to see the movie as the "end" of it. Some anime watchers like to though.

Creepy brotherly love? I don't really think its as creepy as you think it is. I mean they've only got each other to stick to so all their emotions are kinda channeled to each other *shrugs*. Its understandable I mean :).

Ive seen it. There is only like one subber that makes it in DVD quality and they are KAA (KickAssAnime) they also sub a lot of other anime. Back on track! I saw the movie it was prtty good, but there wasnt enough alchemy and you can tell at the end whats gonna happen pretty much. I still think its a pretty good movie though.

Its not really that creepy when you think about what theyve been through. They have no other family, all they have is themselves. The dad was like never there, moms dead, no other family members. So yea, just think bout that and maybe youll understand it ^_^ And I thought the ending was extremely cute. It doesnt matter where they were, it just matters that they were together. They fought so hard to find eachother and be together. Like usually, series have this relationship with like a girl and guy/lovey-dovey so it was really interesting and unique to see it with brothers and not lovers. ^_^ Love FMA <3~

ok i havn't gotten around to watching the first 5 minutes but OMFG the dub is so much better than a sub, things just plain make more sense, and they say things that make more sense. Only thing i would like is to be able to take the sound a synch it with a much higher quality version that i have but its in jap.

Yay just got the DVD and watched it without crappy subtitles! (still in Japanese of course, but not with bad downloaded subs) Eeee made me cry again T_______T I just love it soooooooo much! I first saw this movie when the camera sub hit the net a month or so after it came to theaters in Japan XD Then back at the end of August I was fortunate enough that there was a theater I could easily get to where I saw the dub of CoS in the actual theater (it was a special deal with only 3 showings period).
