Episode 5 Title: "Beat the Invisible Enemy!"

That's right, Bleach episode 5 has aired in Canada last night (if I'm not mistaken) and will air tonight on CartoonNetwork's [adult swim] block at 12:30 A.M. Feel free to discuss it here!

Also, keep an eye on my thread, "For those of you who don't feel like waiting..." for updated YouTube links!

Have fun. :musak:

I thought it was alright. It wasn't bad. I'm getting used to the dubs. Rukia sounded better in this episode. This isn't one of my favourite Bleach episodes though, not by a mile away.

I don't know. Something about that voice reminds of Beck, you know, the musician.

I didn't hear Urahara too well the last time, so I couldn't really comment on the masses of frothing-at-the-mouth rabid fans, but I think it will turn out well. Nobody can judge the VA by two 15-20 second clips, so stop it... seriously.

I think he sounds fine, the actor will find his range and get into the character more and everything will turn out fine, I haven't truely been disappointed by any of the voices so far, Shrieker is one of my favorite Hollows too, and even though I think they should have stuck with a younger sounding voice, I think his insanity and evilness were still represented well in the English version.

Chad sounded better in this episode as well as Rukia. Ichigo seemed to be really harsh though, almost to a forced level, but it was still good.

Pretty good. For some reason, the VA made this episode much more funnier than the japanese one. I never found it as funny before >_< So far, I like all the VAs. I'm not sure about Urahara right now though, but I guess it sounded fine for now.

I think Chad had a little more emotion this episode, he wasnt too bad.

Still... i feel a huge lack of emotion. Everyone is so monotone.
However, i do love the gates of hell. The music is perfect.

Come to think of it... they only show those gates once. It cant be that there is only one hollow ichigos killed thats been a bad person

Edit: i dont think there were any commercials. thats awesome.

I was flipping through the channels and accidentally found bleach on at 12:30. I have to admit...it wasn't that bad. I mean, if I never heard the real thing subbed, I would watch it. (( Unlike naruto, ugh )) But the voices were alright and with the music and everything...flowed real nicely. I also agree...this wasn't one of my fav episodes.

On a sidenote, Adult Swim has a nice late program....Trinity Blood, Bleach, Eureka 7 all back to back. I love all 3 of those shows. :D

Not too bad. The chant Kidou sounded a little awkward in English, but I expected that. Other than that, the (minor) problems still persist. The VAs sometimes are a little off with the emotion; in the end, making some scenes a little wierd. Overall I think the acting was decent, the Hollow fit rather well I think.

I've always been interested in learning a bit about Bleach's underworld (hell). Unfortunately, only one other episode even mentions it, to my knowledge. I have this feeling that there will be some future scenario involving the underworld in some way though. It is not common for things in Bleach to go completely unresolved.

Hmm... I think it was alright. Shrieker's voice didn't seem to necessarily fit exactly but the expression worked for him so it's okay. Yuichi's voice still dead on. Other than that Chad seemed a little weird at times... but Rukia and Ichigo were pretty good.

Okay, I was one of the "rabid fans" that spoke out against Urahara's VA in the last preview. Though I honestly don't consider myself a rabid fan, I was really disappointed then. Well, after hearing his short clip in the episode 6 preview, I have to say that I was pleased, especially comparing it to his last performance. It sounded a lot better; it had more of the energy and humor in it that you'd expect from Urahara. The last one sounded bored and out of place.

I thought this episode was one of the better ones so far. I think everyone had their lines that kinda make you cringe or laugh, but overall it was pretty well done. I really like Shrieker's VA. I understand it's not exactly like the Japanese one, but I think it's a nice, Westernized take on him. I especially like it when he goes into his speech about how he tricked the boy (the boy was also great, too). I think most of Chad's lines in this one were a little awkward, but still good. Especially that one line... "Hey, new girl, are you telling me you can see ghosts?" Or something like that. It cracked me up along with his "I got him. All right..."

Overall, good episode!

Yeah the thing about Kisuke is that this time around he said more understandable things, the other preview he was in made no real sense to me and was done too fast, maybe the va concentrated on speed rather than doing it right that time around.

After I have dealt with the voices of the characters, I now had to deal with Chad's voice.

Now, it is time to prepare for Urahara.

Still enjoying iot though, lol.

i'm not sure i want to re view the entire series from the start simply because its dub'd i may catch a few here and there but so far have had little motivation to follow the dub releases.
