Time for a poll.

do you stay fit?
What do you think about your level of activity?
How do you feel about your physical self?

First of all, I'm going to say that I don't. In fact, I'm off my feet 16(?) out of 24 hours.
So, i thought id do a science project.
First things about me physicaly. I'm 19. I'm 170 pounds and I'm 5'10. I have little or no physical activity besides walking around my school (about one mile max).
These are pics of me as i look now. (I do have my shirt off. It's tastefull, dont worry.)

Now, for 3 weeks I'm going to run (1 to 3 miles) 3 times each week. I'll be on light weights (145 on bench, 75 on curl bar) 3 times a week and ill say good-bye to fatty foods for 3 weeks = \. plus, row-sit ups (sit ups with legs in the air. 100 minimum)

Each week ill post new pics and ill see what the difference between non and active life style is like.

i invite everyone to do this, althought i dont think anyone will. i hope i can do it myself = )

Edit: haha, yeah, that is zoolander.

I'm playing basketball and I enjoy it. I need to sleep more I guess and have to lose 1 or 2 kg. Then I will be a fully fit person

Hmm....i'm not exactly physically fit. I cant do vigorous exercises due to certain health problems. But when i have the time (and energy), i normally do some work outs just for fun and for the sake of keeping that lazy bum fit. :p

Don't really know if this is staying fit....
But i played soccer every day for an hour at least, if that's considered exercising. now tho, i only get to play once a week for a few hours....(moved houses, education, location...CB!)

I used to run, but in a club, ans alone, it's boring.
I do eight hours of martial arts per week (four hours kendo, four hours iaido), two lesosns of an hour and a half each of Archery, and climbing. And I go around my house with weights around my wrists...

Work out 2-3 times a week (just recently started doing that)

Judo 3-4 times a week

Also I go out for a run when I have the time..

And I walk everywhere.. since it's too slippery outside to go by bike.. (winter)

i do alot of physical activity because i play soccer and and i dance ALOT at least 4 times a week and i also do a few extra things to tone up and stuff. so yeah if ya need a friend to do this diet exercise thing out or at least moral support during the three weeks i could do it too.

I don't do sports really. I just lift weights every evening, and some days I walk about 2km from home to bus stop or the other way round. Maybe 1-3 times a week. I play airsoft with my friends when I can, and that is good exercise, cause you run a lot and all that stuff. Haven't airsofted in long time though.

This thread isn't THAT old, thus I will post in it :)

I chose "I run a lot."
I'm on the cross country team at my school, of course I run alot =p Um, 2-3 miles every day. 2.5+ miles on races and sometimes on weekends I get lazy. :)

i'm a tennis player.
let me see...
everyday, i go to gym, i'm actually trying to gain more muscle mass, but it's tough!! i don't really like going to the gym, if my coach wasn't pushing me to, i wouldn't go.
monday, wednesday, friday i spend 3 hours on court practicing drills, footwork...
weekends i'm playing matches.

>.> way back, when i had more free time, i practiced taekwondo everyday and then i spill over to the next class, which is tae bo and do some stuff until im too tired. and part of that means i have to jog at least every week. i walk around school. and more recently, i play more basketball than any other sport. which is good cardio exercise btw. and airsoft as well. i do boxing and lifting like twice in a month. :p

Well for the moment, at least while I'm in school until the end of january, I do nothing active :/ Maybe once I'm out I might join a gym again, but we'll see how the money situation is first.

Heh...there's more to physical activity than weights and running :p.

I cycle a lot - 40-50 minutes every day - and I sometimes go running or play tennis at weekends, or sometimes don't, depending on how lazy I'm feeling =P

I don't really work out in the traditional sense. I guess you could argue I don't work out at all. Because I'm sitting on my can a good amount of the day (hello school :D) I tend to walk everywhere. Not just little dinky walks to the supermarket, though. Walks ranging from 30-45 minutes at least, every day, day in and day out.

But yeah, in terms of a real work out, I plan to sign up for kung fu lessons next term, so I guess I'll be doing something that counts a little more then. :P

Physical activity is vital for the growing body and is vital to our system. Oxygen pumps through the blood in our body. The heart pumps the blood around the body and revitalises our system.... and yadda yadda yadda.

Everybody should move around more often... its not healthy to sit there and do jack > <!
Sports rawk ya!!!

And it helps with swords... fencing and kendo force me to keep myself in peak physical shape. I may look kinda fragile, but it's only because of my utter lack of body fat...

Morning: Few miles of running.

Noon: Sparring (5, 3 minute rounds), hitting bag/pads for 10 minutes (most likely don't have time for this when school starts).

Afternoon: 2 hours of muay thai training. A few hours later pads/bag for 10 minutes, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, dips (this circuit 3-5 times), then a neck workout and jump rope for 5 minutes.

Night: Exercise bike for 30 minutes.

That's pretty much my average day, I do this 6 times a week. This for 2 months and then a month of more strenght focused training, and then this for 2 months again and so on...

Don't really have time to do much else, but like I have a social life anyway :D

I used to work out every day during my lacrosse season and in the off season, and now that i have taken a break from it i feel like garbage. I ahve to get back to the gym and start working out. My bench Max used to be at 295 and squat was 455. I could also run 2 miles with ease, but now Im probably in not as great of shape as i used to be. Time to hit the gym!!

I'll usually do some push-ups and crunches in the morning, and I'll play a couple hours of DDR every other day or so. (Keep in mind that I play Difficult and Expert, so it does work up a sweat.)
