Crappy Tenten for me, she could be removed from the anime any minute and nobody'd notice (or at least, me). Her techniques suck big time. She's kinda like a filler character just to have more girls among the genins/chuunins. At least ino can be excused since she has something to do with sakura's past and her jutsu's much more enjoyable to watch than seeing utensils come out from a roll of toilet paper

that girl/princess they were escorting as a low level assignment only to find out it becomes a high level job because she's the last of her line.
what a snotty person but the character was just poorly developed so she gets my vote.

Ummm... id say anty filler character. Though i didnt mind the princess but that mostly cuz i liked the ending of that filler, only one pretty much, though i hated in that episode how naruto gets his aass kicked with almost no fights(with the magnet dude).

Tenten happens to be one of my favourite females in that anime :P. She's a weapons' expert, although I agree she's quite limited to only that which could make her a bit lame. I still like her though :P.
I think it would be that good-for-nothing-angsty-brooding kid with no life at all... Konohamaru. What role does HE play in the anime? Nothing. He's just the kid that gets Naruto and his gang into trouble and is a complete idiot. He sets the comedy in the anime, but I think thats by far needed in the anime. Naruto is comic enough :P.

Konohamaru seems to represent the loss that the Hokage causes, and the "future".
anyway, my vote would go towards (regarding one of the main characters) the bug guy. i don't ahte him. i like him most of the time. but he just seems a bit of a waste. idk. *shrug*
they're all good...it's hard to decide.

Ino, she is annoying and really has no purpose. Her techniques are lame, her obsession over sasuke is lame, everything about her is lame. Definitly the worst character in naruto for me.
Not to mention I can't find someone that uses her in naruto-arena either...grrrr

Well. I just find characters like that annoying. Who dont try yet get so far.
Take the Rock Lee fight for example. He only started moving close to the end.

I didn't like Gaara when he first appeared...the whole "I must kill" vibe from him and everything is a huge turn off. lol
However, I liked him when he came back and helped out, especially during the fight vs. Kimimaro. That was definitly a great fight, and thats where I started to like Gaara. ( Still not as cool as shikamaru to me though :P )

yeah...that part, i was hoping rock lee kick ass n get the jobs done...
Naruto (No way), Sasuke (He's the point of the story), Sakura (A good-for-nothing but is one of the 3 main char.), Ino (Would be pleasant if she's gone, but the chunnin exam is between her and Sakura, also have a connection with Sakura, too Important), The rest of the rookie 9 (Out of the list, they're most of the point when Naruto chase Sasuke), Gai's Team and Himself (Also a pretty important char.), The Konoha's Ninja includes Hokage (Pretty good reason; no hokages, no ninja) So that left fillers: The conclusion: the worst ever is: None. Everyone here in Naruto have their own important scenes, so that's why they were included in Naruto. There's no way that Masashi Kishimoto (all hail to the author!) will draw them in the manga just to fill the columns.

the worst characters by far would have to be tenten and ino. seriously tenten has weak jutsu and is basically a filler character, ino well, ino is also weak, still crushes over sasuke, and is rather annoying.

Naruto. Though the story follows him around everywhere...he's pretty much just the "tell me why" character.
He knows two jutsu's and exhausts use of them, has annoying catch phrases, and asks way too many questions.
Though he is an innovator by being a loud, clumsy ninja...I still find him annoying.
Don't get me wrong, he's cool. But I wish he would just tone it down....a little bit.

She is in a word... useless.

I agree with you VipER, Hinata and TenTen are great shinobi. The only reason other people hate them is because noones seen they're true powers yet. And yeah they are soooo cute. I'd so go out with either one of them or Temari. Except they'd have to be like four years older therefore it don't look weird Cause I'm a 20 year old and they're like 15 or so.

I'm not overly fond of Tenten. She has no real back story and no visable personallity, she seems to just... be there. I used to dislike Sakura, but near the end of part 1 and all of part 2, i have realised she is a kick ass charcter. And Sasuke is not Emo popular to contrary belief :D

I would say the worst Naruto characters are TenTen and Ino. I don't think they are very strong or have good jutsu.
With Tenten all she has are weapons if you can stop those, she's beat.
With Ino, she's just weak and is always trying to get out of battles.

The worst to me is all the filler characters. Seriously man if they put the fillers characters into the continues part i think most of the fans would go like "WTF is he doing in this episode" or something. But if we are going to exclude the fillers chracters and just go to the characters they don't show in the fillers i would say Konohamaru. I mean common now he's seriously annoying. All he does is waste Naruto's time and doesn't help with anything. Like the part when Naruto was going to the last chunin exam Konohamaru just had to make things worse and waste his darn time. So yea i would say Konohamaru :).

Konohamaru is the follower of the future hokage, grandson of the 3rd hokage and is or was nephew to one of the greatest jounins in konoha at the time. I have high hopes for Konohamaru...other than..

I agree with most of you guys on Konohamaru. Captain Ukitake thinks Ten Ten sucks? I think she's cool. About Sakura, yeah I hated her at first, but she's not that bad anymore. For me, I hate Choji. He is so worthless and ridiculous as a character. I also don't like Rock Lee because of his stupid look and attitude although him and me are the same sign. He's a disgrace to my sign. I can't think of any others right now.

The only character i have a strong dislike for is Naruto himself, i just find him annoying cept for when Kyuubi possesses him. Although he is a bit more bareable after he comes back from his training session with Jiraiya. Now that the anime fillers are over we can see if this manages to get across from the Manga.

I'd say its Ten Ten. She's the character that has the less relevance in the story, the less appearances and probably one of the weakest abilities in the show. And unlike the other genins, they didn't even show any part of her past. I don't think she was even in the Naruto Shipuuden trailer.

I guess it depends on what you mean by the worst (also Shippuden included?)...
Worst, skill-wise: I don't think you can include Konohamaru and his gang in this question, they are still very young. At their age, Naruto was flunking all his classes! Now we see he is actually very good, so it's not a fair assesment.
Worst, annoying-wise: They're all pretty annoying in their own special way, but only to the point where it's funny. I think the makers of Naruto are pretty tactful and don't really portray any irritating characters.
*side comment* I'm surprised by everone's dislike for tenten. I think she's pretty cool, I mean, Shippuden tells us she's passed the Chunnin exams so she couldn't be that bad. She's also a good friend to Neji and Lee. She also has a cute personality, my roommate reminds me of her a little.

The only time I can tolerate Sasuke is when he talks about being an avenger. The rest of the time he's just such a jerk I want to slap him. I can't really say I'm a big fan of Tsunade either, to be honest.
Hmm, worst Naruto character...without doubt Naruto.
In all aspects.
Fighiting: Repetitive with a big R and boring.
Character developement: Hes exactly the same as he was in episode/chapter 1.
Annoying: Yes, yelling the same garbage everytime he fights or does anythingdattebayo.
and the simple fact that hes the main character and yet hes the underdog in every situation, he also smiles too much, wouldnt mind seeing a pissed off naruto for once.

I hate Sasuke. There's something very boring about the "I'm-good-at-everything-and-an-asshole-to-boot". I wish he'd get over himself. Can anyone say Emo?
Yes, I know he's a core part of the story. That doesn't mean he's even remotely likeable.

Ino because she sucks at life and does nothing. She's like a useless Sakura who is only there to annoy you. She is not exactly an overly attractive female character as well, so I would have to say her.
