well right now im emotionally upset and im debating what to do (not suicide attempt don't worry)

should i go out and drive to calm my emotions, or go outside and smoke?

im listening to music but its not doing ne thing to help me

ne other suggestions would be nice

fyi: in a dorm building too.

Go walk around your dorm a bits and just not talk to anyone the cool air should help some (works for me when I gets upset)

Go for a drive, always better than smoking. Well not for the enviroment i suppose.

yeah, i'd agree with Telvanni to go for the walk. Fresh air should do u some good.
As bak3donh1gh said, u could go for a drive. That way u could listen to songs too.
U could always read a book...is there a certain author that u really like which makes u feel better? I have one...that's wat i usually do.

Or for a more healthier solution, you could take the walk, or you could go and exercise it out, run or work out or such. Driving isnt such a good idea since your emotions could affect your driving and cause an even more serious thing.

U could always read a book...is there a certain author that u really like which makes u feel better? I have one...that's wat i usually do.
i like reading quotes that are inspirational and that i take to the heart. i just went outside and it was refreshing.... i feel calm enough to go out and drive which i just might do now that i can't sleep.

true... and for me, i just do something to take out my frustrations. somethings like play sports or play computer... it works for me.

Who said you need friends to drink

The bottle is your only true friend don't listen to them..

Another suggestion would be to get alot of popsicle sticks and start building a model.

First of all, why are you upset...maybe if you tell us personally, we'd be able to help you better...to answer your question, I think you should go for a drive around town...it might calm you down..

Run down to a local liquor store and buy a six pack beer :)
Or if you are a smoker, then nothing beats smoking to calm your nerves :lol

HEY, I don't think either smoking OR drinking is the way to cheer up...sure they may provide temporary relief but it won't help much. It's better to just talk about it or find out exactly what's bothering you and SOLVE it, instead of drowning it in smoke or liquid...

On a more serious note, I guess going out for a long walk/jog helps. I tend to burn more calories when depressed than when I go to the gym =/.

contradicts my post, but true nonetheless. Yeah, drinking and smoking is just for temporary relief. But what about you...

All of you get drunk (the more the merrier)
Go on a road trip with all of your drunk friends!

Play some sports. Eg: Tennis. Let out your frustrations there. Always works for me. Or just go for runs and all...

from a smoker's point of view, smoking calms you down enough to think again :3 but that's the way smokers think. then again, we usually look for any reason to have another stoke :3

otherwise, take a nice long hot shower. :3

basically in a nut shell, my fiance is mad at me bc i didn't want to get up at 8 this morning with him, and he's basically making me feel like shit for it. and even now he's still at it. he didn't care if i was up right now or not, and i kno i shouldn't be upset but he says so much hurtfull things to me, not to mention i had a bad day in general yesterday and he just made it worse
