hey wassup all...to all naruto fan if u were given a chance to pick who should fit the hokage's spot who would that be?
or mabe tsunade is the perfect one....i wonder who would be best for the spot...
for now i think Tsunade is ok for the spot coz i dont see other character qualified for the place yet...jiraya is too busy with his peeping activity...
hmm..dont see him nemore, wonder what happen to him...

i would have to say it would be naruto or kiba. both have the determination to become hokage but i would go with naruto. he somehow fits the bill
How can Naruto be a Hokage? He lacks the power, the brains, the experience, emotional maturity, he is too hot-headed, he is too young and overall he is fit for the Hokage position like an ape for the Stephan Hawkings proffesors spot.
Kiba is not far from here. There is nobody in Konoha good enough for the Hokage position besides the Sannin. And while Jirajya is more of a wanderer, Tsunade is the only one good enough.
Everybody else lacks at least in one department: power.
Shodai, Nidaime, Sandaime and Yondaime were all different but they all shared the common charachteristics:
they were smart, caring, very very intelligent, they had the will of fire and above else, they had power. They were also recognized by everyone in the village (something Naruto still IS NOT) and they knew everybody and everything about the village.
There is no one in Konoha that fits that descritpion besides the Sannins and Kakashi but he's weaker then them.
Let me give you one vivid example. Remember when the envoy from the Wave country tried to take Hinata? They wanted the Byakugan and their Jounin was killed by Hyuga. While Sandaime was trying to calm the situation down and find a solution that hot-headed moron would prolly start yelling:
NOBODY MESSES WITH HINATA AND KONOHA, DATTEBAYO1111!!!!!!11 LETS GET THEM!111

yup thats about right..if we looking for someone caring n willing to die for konoha, i think everyone in the village feels the same ways, they lack of powers to be hokage...
naruto might fits the title if he become stronger n build more fighting skills...he aint got any good fighting skills except lame one...
perhap when he gets little bit older he will produce more technique n use his brains better....lolzz... is that possible? we will see what will happen...

well "granny tsunade" is very good at her job as hokage and is mature enough and powerful enough to protect the village so i don't think so that there is anyone else who can take her place!!!!

I would say shikamaru from the current genin. He has the brains, he can lead a team,(he's chuunin now), and he can definitly plan stuff. The only thing that he would need is a will to be hokage and more power. Maybe learn some new high level shadow jutsus from the Nara clan if they exist and get a little stronger, he could be a candidate.

From the batch of people right now excluding Tsunade and Jiaryia. The only logical person that would have enough power to become Hokage is either Gai or Kakashi.

well if u look @ the previous hokages, they have all been students of the future hokage of their time, ie, sandaime taught orichimaru, jiraiya and tsunade, and she became hokage, nidaime was sandaimes teacher, yondaime taught kakashi etc, so naruto would be future hokage ONLY after kakashi
But Yondaime was thought by Jirayja who didn't become a Hokage..so^^

Nah Tsunade is good,she is very powerful and she can protect them besides she is the only one who can cure them from anything so she is the best so far.

because he stronger than kakashi and smarter also he coul protect it if konoha
was in real danger with the last gate.

Lol, Gai? Sure, he has the passion and everything, but I think he's a little nuts to be able to take on leadership of the whole of Konoha. I don't see him as that sort...
If Tsunade is not available as Hokage anymore, I'd pick Shikamaru to be the next. He is sensible and smart. Although he claims to hate trouble more than anything, he's able to think clearly and take on his responsibilities when he needs to.
I wouldn't pick Naruto even though he's supposed to be, like, the main character and all. He's just not cut out for leadership! But maybe down the road, he'll acquire the skills needed for being a Hokage...

i'd like to see jiraiya hokage!!! i don't think it's a wise choice for konoha's future...but i just thought it'll be fun having him as an hokage!!
for instance: peeping girls showering would be permitted, and other perverted laws enacted that only him could come up with!!! hehe

Even though Shikamaru has the brains for Hokage position, I'd rather see him on the field doing missions. With his brains and the right members, he would be able to complete missions assigned to him with lots of successful I hope to say.
As of now, I don't see any better choice than Tsunade. If she died, I'd go with Neji since he is a genius and the number one Genin during the Exams. He is well rounded.

Agreed. But he's going to need more than just will. Even though he's got the brains he still lacks when it comes to physical power. Unfortunately though he seems to be as unambitious as they come =p.
Someone like Neji as Red mentioned however might not be as smart as Shikamaru, but his power, ambitious spirit and overall attitude make him a decent candidate for the position.

Yeah. The Hokage has to be the strongest in the village. So far it has gone that the person is also smart but everybody can be smart when it comes to it. Hell, even Naruto can come up with a good plan every now and then.
But, if I wanted to see one person as the Hokage(Besides Naruto because we know that he will become Hokage) then that person would probably be Hinata. Just because I think it would be funny if she came back and became stronger than even Neji.

and speaking of Naruto, he may be able to defeat the hokage if he uses his nine tales chakara but he main weakness is his inability to concentrate on anything for more then 3 seconds. he'd end up making war with every village out there

Shikamaru isn't always lazy you know. If he has to do something he does. If he was TOO lazy he wouldn't be a chuunin. He also leads alot of missions in the anime, one movie, and the manga.

well if u look @ how the order has gone, 1st hokage. his student became second. of which his student became the 3rd (Sandaime) of which one of his students became 4th, tho so too tsunade who was another student of his, she became the fifth.
now we have next in line is a student of the 4th who happens to be kakashi he would be fitting for the role as hokage. and after him NARUTOOOOOOOOOOO

At the moment, I think Tsunade's alrite. Jiraiya might cause chaos with his 'ero-sennin' activities. Imagine Orochimaru as Hokage...now there's a thought...I can see darkness all around...

Tsunade fits the title of Hokage, so there's no need to replace her till she starts getting really old. The one person that I think will take the title of Hokage after her is definately Naruto. It doesn't matter what you think of him or how stupid he is right now, the anime is about him and his goal to become Hokage. It will take some time from now for him to be able to fit the Hokage title perfectly. From what I see, once the story calms down and Naruto nears its ending, Kishi will wrap it up and show Naruto as an adult and eventually show how he becomes Hokage.

I also feel that the only person qualified for the job as of now is still Tsunade.Naruto could one day become Hokage after he matures, and is highly known throughout the village.The lacks the overall power and smoothness of the other hokages.He wouldnt have any other thought but to attack if something had happened inside of the village.Kiba isnt AS hot headed as Naruto but is still hot headed and not ready for the job.But just like Naruto he lacked some key points but if one day after maturing it is a possibility.Some good Konoha canadits for Hokage would probably be Neji, he can keep his cool, has power and is known by a lot of people in the village becasue he has so much power.Another canadit could be Shikamaru.Even if he is lazy he ws the ability to not let the heat of the battle cloud his mind.He is able to think in the midst of battle.But one thing that gets him partly out of being hokage is his laziness and lack of jutsu.

I'd say from the genin 12 or whatever, Neji Hyuuga.
He is as smart as Shikamaru, and he can fight. He has good leading skills and if Konoha ever is in trouble he'd use his byakugan and the special taijutsu.
It has been said that the Hyuugas are Konoha's pride. And with Neji not being a heir to the head of the clan, he could at least be the hokage.
But from anyone in Konoha, I'd have to say Hatake Kakashi.
He is very smart. He's had loads of experiance, he was in anbu (but I don't think that has been confirmed). He is the son of Konoha's White Fang. His teacher was Yondaime, Konoha's great Yellow Flash. He is in other country's bingo books. And, quite frankly, you know he pwns everyone 'cept Itachi.

shikamaru is too lazy but he could defend the village anytime.Naruto has one good technique i.e. lots of shadow clones which could be handy in defending a village but he is too dumb so he could never do all that paper work.Kakashi would make a good hokage because of his many jutsus but he would be too caught up reading those stupid books instead of doing his job and jaraiya would be too busy being a pervert spying on girls in the hotsprings.

Neji. A brilliant strategist, not up to Shikamaru's standard, though. He's a powerful fighter in his own right as well.
