Bleach's episode 7 dub has aired in Canada last night and will air tomorrow tonight on CartoonNetwork's [adult swim] block at 12:30 A.M in America. Feel free to discuss it here.

Wow I was wrong, they do actually call him Cone, they made it look so much like Kon was just putting on an accent in the preview, just trying to sound cool, seriously though how retarded can you get? Its pretty easy to hear its Kon, anyway apart from that Kon's voice massively improved since the preview, and I had hoped they were working on his voice to get it right.

I liked Urahara in the last episode, this time though he just flat out sucked, trying to be ultra deep and sounding cool, he sounded a bit like Steve Blum sometimes.

How in the bloody hell can they mistranslate the "nice angle" line when it was already in English to begin with? I swear, the script writers aren't very good. "Yeah, take your time, but hurry up." Just what the heck is that supposed to mean? Originally, I liked the script adaptations, but they're getting rediculous now.

Anyways, Quinton Flynn continues to rock as Kon, especially in his plush form, which I expected ever since I saw him in that preview. I'm lovin' Kon's voice, however Urahara's voice is still crap. Michael Lindsay still refuses to put any energy into Urahara at all, and it's really unlike the character.

Nice to see Kirk Thornton in there, though, even if he's just Saidou. I personally wanted him to play Byakuya. There's still a possibility, but it may be best for someone esle to land that role. Another idea I had was Terrence Stone.

Yea when they said kone i was like wtf?! and now they're pronounce konpaktou and cone-paktou aarg
when orihime said she wated to be the rain so she could "touch people" i was ROFLIN all over the place for a second.
Yea totaly agree if he puts some energy into uruharas voice it would sound sooo much better.
I found kon voice to be better when he was in ichigo it changed to a weird more stupid when he went into the plushie but at least he's just an unimportant backgrounds characters.

I like Kon's voice when he was in the plushie more though. It seems to fit better. I also think they made Ichigo's mom sound a bit too old.

This is a pretty good episode though.

I will say one thing, wtf is Cone. How hard is it to say Kon. They also shortened the seen directly after the pill was put in the puppets mouth, cause if I remember correctly it didn't take affect right away.

yeah how can they not say kon. its not that hard. and them leaving out the nice angle part would confuse ppl as to y rukia was stepping on him for no reason. and at the end when inoue says my fav quote in bleach, they messed that up so bad. i was livid. that part was horrible. evrythin else b4 that was ok, and yeah kiske's voice needs to be more energtic

Blackrican, and everyone else, they are pronouncing Kon's name pretty damn decently. If you think his name is pronounced as "kahn," then you're wrong. Truthfully, it's not exactly meant to be pronounced "cone" as in "ice cream cone," but that way is closer to being correct than "kahn."

And besides, they're not even pronouncing it "ka-own," unless what you mean is "cone." If that's the case, what you spelled out doesn't phonetically sound like "cone." You should get your ears checked.

I'm sure some people would be just as upset if they mispronounced the words. I've seen it happen all the time. Subtards get upset when a dub actor mispronounces a Japanese term, and sometimes they get upset when the word is pronounced correctly but they think it isn't because they don't know jack shit about Japanese. There's a double standard in there somewhere, or at least failed logic.

Just be freakin' happy that they're at least trying!

Ugh... how freakin' hard is this to comprehend? They aren't calling him "cone" for crying out loud, they're still calling him "Kon." They sure as heck didn't change his name, because Ichigo explained "We're calling you that because it's short for Mod Konpaku."

I don't know if people actually believe they changed his name or are mispronouncing it, but either way you're all wrong. The "ko" sound in Japanese is always pronounced the same in every instance (as is most every other sound), and it's pronounced something like the "co" in "cone." His name is being pronounced pretty damn decently! Sure, it's not exactly perfect, but it's close enough. Stop being so picky. I'm sick and tired of all the complaining about Bleach and Naruto's dubs being so terrible, especially when they get something right.

The whole Kon pronounication doesn't bother me. At ALL. As long as the character's cool, it's fine. Besides, they could've easily changed his name to some other name that would've gotten people more ticked than they already are.
