Ichigo/Uruhara (Spoilers... Please don't read unless you are far into the manga...)

Haven't found this topic on here, yet...

I, myself, am only on chapter 140, but I could care less if someone spoils things for me, so here's what's been bugging me lately...

Now, Ichigo has these super powers from the beginning, orange hair in a family of non-orange-haired people, and Uruhara seemed to have believed in this kid without hesitation...

I'm sure I'm not the only person who has questions about Uruhara and his relationship/intentions with Ichi...

What's been bugging me though is that I'm starting to see somewhat of a resemblence between Ichigo and Uru...

I'm definitely not saying they could be father/son, but there are so many questions for me at this point, even THAT could be possible...

Could they be related???

If later on in the manga, this Ichigo/Uruhara relationship question I am proposing is answered, then tell me... Like I said, I could care less about spoilers... But if it hasn't been answered, what do you think of this???

First of all it's Urahara. Anyway, there is NOT possible for them to be father/son since we know who his father is (but I'm sure you are already aware of that ;)). It could just be that he noticed Ichigo's talent and decided to use him as a tool...but on the other hand (like you said), he seemed to be a bit over confident in him to know nothing about him at all.

Awhile back, someone had an idea that Ichigo's mother may have been a shinigami (which would explain Ichigo's powers.) Either way, I'm sure that she is going to have a greater role in this story later on. Could it be that Urahara was a friend of hers or even a brother? He really doesn't look like Ichigo to me though...

if his mother was a shinigami, wouldn't she have atleast seen the hollow that killed her? it looked like she didn't know what was coming at all

I have to wonder if she did see the Hollow coming - she saw something and went chasing after Ichigo, then blocked him from the Hollow's attack. I don't think she was a shinigami, but she might have had really a high spirit pressure/awareness, like Karin does.

But that's just my guess. >>

Well the grand fisher uses lures.. she prob knew it was a ghost but didnt realize the hollow was there.. its alluded even the best for years now

I threw that in there because this whole manga is very confusing...

I just finished reading every chapter, and there wasn't really any new info given about URA-hara =b

I still think they look alike... It's just that Ichigo's got those "pissed off" eyes all of the time...

But thanks to ONE of the FOUR replies I got for at least trying to answer the ACTUAL question... =b

i don't think ichigo and uruhara don't even look alike at all.. but i'm not sure about his mother.. if you read the manga about rukia's past about keian(?) the boy that looked like ichigo.. i think ichigo got his power from him.. because remember how that hollow told keian that he ate his wife's body but no the head, his left shoulder, and somewhere else.. and when ichigo went against renji ans kenpachi those hollow mask protected those spots. so somehow ichigo is related to keian and his wife maybe that's how he got his power, to be train with uruhara made his power limit beyound the captians. but i'm not sure.. i'm just thinking and guessing

i think that mask is there because he has become the half shingami half hollow that captain azien was talking about

I think Ichigo is just a reincarnation of the shinigami that Rukia killed, I mean look at all the similarities. When the hollow fused with that shingami I think Rukia never actually killed the hollow in the shingami's body. Instead of truely duing it reincarnated into Ichigo (with some remarkable side-effects I migh add, shuch as the huge increase in spirit energy) It would make sense then to assume that either Aizen or Uruhara created the hollow that could fuse with shinigami. Whichever one did create it, Uruhara might fell somewhat responible and try to help Ichigo exact his revenge. What do ya think?

I agree with the theory that Ichigo is a reincarnation, or something along those lines. It would make so much sense! Where Ichigo's powers came from, how they're so extreme, and the fact that Ichigo and that...shinigami...I forget his name, look so much alike should meant that they are related in some form or fashion. Why would Kubo-san make them have so much similarities in appearance for no reason? But HOW exactly they are "related" is beyond me...but it does remind me of a book called ABARAT. It isn't a manga, but the main character is a girl who ends up in this freakish world, and normal people who go there usually go insane soon after, because of the absolute craziness of their surroundings. For some reason, not only does this girl not go insane, but she fits in perfectly and even has some oddities about herself as well. As it turns out, these powerful women had taken the soul of a very powerful person who had died in this strange world and put that soul into the main girl's mother's womb. (meaning before the main girl was born) This way the powerful person's soul survived, and enabled the main girl to become powerful herself, and survive in the strange world.

Does that make sense at all? I might have made that very confusing...but it was a very odd book!

well, if you see the chapter186, some things about the root of Ichigo's powers will be cleared. Well, it still doesn't cover up for the possibility that Ichigo could be Kaein but certainly he is not Uruhara's son

Nothing is cleared about Ichigo's powers in 186. They're barely even talked about, if anything, that chapter raises MORE questions bout Ichigo's hollow ability, like what Shinji means when he says you and I are the same, or whatever. I think he also says something like "I told you to treat me nice" or something...

Seeing Urahara surprised would be interesting... I wonder if he knows about Shinji?

I believe that Ichigo's unnatural abilities came from a combination of both Kurosaki Masaki(Ichigo's mom), and Kurosaki Isshin. My theory is that Masaki had unnaturally high spirit awareness, as somebody else mentioned earlier, and as confirmed on Ch. 186, Isshin turns out to be a Shinigami, around vice-captain/captain level by a few observed details. His abilities were simply amplified even more because he's now a shinigami/hollow hybrid, courtesy of Urahara. It's all about heredity =P.

Thank you...I'm just sketchy about Ichigo being the reincarnation of Shiba Kaien, despite their incredible resemblance to each other...I'm not too sure there's such thing as reincarnation in Soul Society, at least not a concrete case that has been presented throughout the storyline.

I think this is gonna end up being obviously related to the urahara leaving soul society isshin being his vice cap since yourichi was special ops leader. but then the refrences to the 4 noble families of soul society seem to come up with ban kai and the whole cape thing... coincidence surely but more likely to come back as a 'revelation' in about 40 chapters or so, as Ichigo being from a family or having direct links some how has not been disproven indefinte just yet.

I seriously doubt that Urahara is Ichigo's dad. I'm 100% sure that Isshin and Masaki are Ichigo's authentic parents, it'd be too weird for Urahara and maybe Yoruichi to be Ichigo's parents. But... you never know. I'm sure that Ichigo's parents are Isshin and Masaki, though.

Plus, during his lil chat w/ Grand Fisher, he talks about how captain level shinigami are able to change the size of their zanpaku-to before cutting up Grand Fisher. Grand Fisher thinks he's got Isshin completely pwn'd because his zanpaku-to is hella bigger, but then Isshin says that bit about captains being able to manipulate it's size. So yea, if you do the math, it all comes out as Isshin being a captain, or was a captain.
