On the latest chapter of Naruto, before Azuma died, he told Shikamaru who the king was while they were talking about it before going into battle.
I still can't think no matter how hard who the king is.

NARUTO is the title of the Anime, anyway. (Or is it where it takes place? Coz Naruto is a city in Japan. I remember it's on Okinawa Province.... But I'm not sure...)

It seems to obviously be Naruto - since the "king" isn't sposed to be the most powerful, but the most important. And who's more important to the Akatsuki than the demon fox with...one tail? no...two tails? no, NINE fken tails. ie/ he's now strongest too

I have mixed ideas on who it could be. At first I thought the Village, then I thought the Hokage, then I thought Naruto. Or if I got really deep (not really that deep) I could say the 'king' is more symbolic and represents the greater whole or objective. Does that make any sense at all?

At this point though, I think the most logical answer would be Naruto (though it might seem a bit obvious).

I mean come on, Konoha Academy students are being taught the "Will of Fire Thing" to protect their loved ones even before they become Genin. (remember the 3rd's speech) now, their loved ones are their families, their families, are the villagers, wich makes them all part of konoha, or better yet they are konoha! now why couldn't Asuma just say "Konoha", why would he refer to konoha as the king why? meanwhile his father the 3rd even died protecting it. o.k. now....some of you may wonder where am I getting at, this is were I'm getting at = why keep it a secret while everyone knows how important the village is, there isn't a single ninja in Konoha, better yet in the whole narutouniverse (except certain shinobis, even they know..) that doesn't know the value of his/her village. SO what makes konoha special? what does konoha has that's different from the other villages? is it the will of fire? I don't think so, I think it's Naruto, so why Naruto? because Naruto has the Kyuubi (9Tails) wich is the most powerful bijuu of all....some of you are probably already aware of where Kishimoto got his ideas for makin certain characters and names for this manga "Naruto"! he came up with it from some Japanese folktale, if you know even a little about it, you'll know the fact that the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, Kyuubi has never lost to any other bijuu because he was the most powerful one and obviously the one with the most tailes! so that's what makes konoha different from other villages konoha has the most powerful weapon in their hands (don't think bad about it by seeing it as a weapon). NOW let's go back to my main point.....why keep the King a secret if everybody already knows who/what he/it is??.....and also nobody, I repeat NOBODY in any manga, anime, movie, story or what ever it is or may be wich had or has a KING in it, has never reffered to any other thing that isn't a living being or more then one living being as a KING!!!! so it CAN'T be Konoha! if it were to be someone else then Naruto......that's fine! but NOT konoha! To tell you the truth I think Naruto's value is equal to that of Konoha simply because he's jinchuuriki that carries the bijuu in him. the King is somebody that is REAL important! the Country will crumble if the King is taken away, In real history alot of kingdoms have fallen because their Kings had fallen! and Naruto is definitely someone real important and valuable.....so.........judging from everything I've said do you guys understand how serious it would be if Naruto would fall in the hands of Akatsuki, do you know what would happen if Naruto would be taken away?????????

Well, yeah. That's what I pretty much figured.

The last chapter I saw something interesting the fact that Naruto may actually the one to figure out that new Jutsu, the one not even the 4th could figure out. He's wicked powerful and he'd make one hell of a weapon. So yeah, I do think it is Naruto, it does make a lot of sense but somewhere in my gut I have this odd feeling I might be blindsided by the answer. (I hope not).

Anyways, I'm going to go with erm.... Sasuke? Protect and king and stuff, but think about Sasuke's clan (forgot what the hell the name was...). It's supposedly the biggest and prominent clan in Konoba aside from the Byakuygan or something. Could it be saying that get Sasuke back before he gets killed randomly???????????????

well it could be konohamaru......why was the 3rd always so keen in having him supervised all of the time, and also having the name konoha-maru.

well moving aside....we dont know who narutos parents were....he was an orphan...he has no idea of his background (as far as we know).....now lets presume that his parents were the so called rulers of the country of fire, and later had the newly born naruto brought to konoha for shinobi protection....tho coincidently this happened @ the same time as the kyuubi affair...and the 4th saw naruto as the perfect jinchuuriki maybe since of his "royalty" he couldve had a stronger will than anybody else. now naruto growing up alone and learning to be selfless was part of the plan to make the "king" understanding of different living classes, ie poor, middle, higher.....so therefore he could relate with ppl from all walks of life....and his being a jinchuuriki adds further understanding of certain (8) other ppl. now we know narutos chakra is powerful even without the kyuubis...but the kyuubi is just as a last resort, "the kings stallion" or secret weapon tht gives him the extra edge in battle and power advantage......that is why i think naruto "could" be the king.....

yet we wont know who the king is until a few weeks time.. :D...lookin forward to the "revelation" of the identity of the king. :P LOL :Domo
