Bak3d on H1gh

Well i just finished the episode and saw that there was no post yet so here it is.
My thoughts, well the only thing really is how pissed i am at media center, it tell me i have enough space to record all 3 shows, but nooo 20 seconds into show kicks out on me saying theres not enough room, now im missing first 20 seconds after first commercial, and i think in the process of running around i acc deleted my eureka seven eng dub grrr, but now i gotto find a good video editing software which i have two of but one tkaes forever to save and saves in horrible quality and the other i cant get to save to proper formate, hmm wunder if virtualdub has something i can use, probly ill have to see laterz.
but getting bak well its just another episode nothing really new added, and seeing how im not racist against dubs perfectly good to me.
ps i would give name of episode but i didnt pay attention and for some reason this week there was no information about it other than bleach so media center also did not know the name.

I really liked Ichigo's mother's voice (Forgot her name, xD), but yeah, it was great. Little Ichigo was, okay, but I recognized it from a lot of other animes (XD Izzy from digimon! :D)
I liked this episode =p

Her mothers name was Masaki. Ye the voice of her mother was fine. BUT WHY ? WHY ? Why have they messed up uruharas voice ?

I know...urahara was just messed up...its ok, but it seems that something is just missing. I dont know what...but something is wrong. But, as with the rest of them, I will get used to it.

It's called "energy," and it's something that Michael Lindsay refuses to put into his acting. Urahara is supposed to be upbeat and carefree, not slothful and apathetic. Anyways, that's neither here nor there. Urahara was really only in just a quick flashback this episode, and we already heard him say that line before.
If only every episode were as good as this one, Bleach's dub would be amazing. They were banging on all cylinders this episode. Quinton Flynn sounded better as Kon this time around, which is surprising because I thought he already was doing a perfect job! Bosch was able to do something different with Ichigo, and I think he handled it well. Michelle Ruff, Kate Higgins, and Patrick Seitz were good as usual, even though I still have a tiny problem with Isshin sounding a little too young.
And, for the pièce de résistance of the episode, Kirk Thornton as Saidou Eikichirou. Amazing, as expected of the guy! I'm surprised that he was able to steal the whole episode, considering he was just playing a filler character. Kirk Thornton alone should make these episodes a bit more interesting, for me at least. However, I did notice that when Saidou was going to say "Rukongai," it was translated as "Rukon district," which doesn't quite roll off the tongue, erm... at all.
I have a little gripe about Masaki's voice, which isn't as pleasant as the original and instead, sounded sort of deep and throaty. However, she's just in this one episode, so it's no big deal. Also, Grand Fisher's voice still stinks, but I think it's growing on me. Overall, this episode was dubbed very well.
Oh, and the script was pretty good, too, contrary to last week's crappy script. They changed around Isshin's "tombstone domino tournament" lines with some other stuff, but they were just as good. The lines "incense eating contest," "wash my feet," and especially when he said "come back and fight me like a man" to Karin were hilarious.

Thanks Darksong 17 for the links.
This episode is good. I think Kon's voice is getting better and better. Masaki's voice is ok, but I still think it's a little deep.
I just wanna say I love Kon's voice; he's fabulous, and I take back any negative comments I've said about him during the preview on Episode 1.

Oh men, Kon is still a pervert. ^_^
I don't like the fact that he makes his voice friendly in english dubs.
no offense.

Episode 7 and 8 are one of my favorites because of the reminisence of Ichigo's mom and how we learn more about her. Didn't really the cone-kon thing. Personally his voice seems fine to me. Urahara I'm not to satisfied with, it doesn't have the right feel to it. One questions though in 7 and 8 they play a song everytime they reminisence about Ichigo's mom in the end of episode 7 and parts of episode 8. Does anybody know what song it is? I've been looking for it but can't find its name or the song itself. I checked most of the songs on bleachportal.
Hmm... I don't like how they call Urahara, "Mr. Kisuke". I mean, Kisuke is his first name, not last.

Something you would expect from Quinton Flynn, the guy that did the voice of Axel. (Man, it's been a long time since I posted anything.)

I agree. Although I loved Grand Fisher's voice personally. ;p

Meh, I don't even care about Urahara's voice anymore. There's just no use in complaining about it anymore. As for the episode itself, oh man, it's not one of my favourites. Actually, all the old Bleach episodes were kind of stale other than the comedy. I think I'm going to stop watching the dubs until they reach the Soul Society arc. That's when things truly get interesting with Ichigo getting Bankai and all.

I cant say I've got a problem with any of the voices really except for Rukia's.
I like Urahara's voice, sure its not quite as quirky as the Japanese one... the inflections are never gonna be the same as they would be in a Japanese accent, but at least for me personally Urahara sounds in English pretty much how I would expect him to sound... he's meant to sound rather tired in ep6 and I think that the scene between Ururu and Kisuke is still rather touching in the dub version.
In 10 maybe his part could have been a bit stronger, but it doesnt need to be... we who've seen all the eps from 1 to 102 know what Urahara is about, but at least for me I remember back to when I first saw "Sandle 'n' Hat dude" (seriously what the hell is up with Hat 'n' clogs!!!) and thought on him as a mysterious character... Urahara's dub voice retains for me that element of mystery that made him my fave character from the start.
The real test will be how he performs from ep18 or so onwards...
Equally, Kon's voice is great... its still annoying - though admittedly not as funny, "neeee-saaaan!" gets me every time - but it fits my view of the character.
The Hollows voices aren't that great... but then thats because I was always really freaked out by the original Hollow voices and these new ones are a bit stereotypical villan\demon-esque. Oh yeah and I think I'm in agreement with Sasukesan... Ishins voice is not maniac enough for the part he plays currently!
Apologies for the long post, thats my 2 cents... or perhaps large wad of 5's if you go by length
