I have somewhat talk to Jes about this and talked to mool about this.
I'm getting sick of Club Bleach now. The head admins (Lunatic) doesnt give a shit about the forums (he wants to start a new one), which makes me feel like I'm running a dead forum which is useless to me. I rather let it rot now then later, unless of course you guys are still going to stay and take care of the forum. I'm just terribly tired from admining this place everyday. Its literally like a 2nd job to me.
I'll stop there for now, currently tired and have work soon.

The community is great, you probably say I should admin till the end but I dont know if I can do that.

If it becomes a hastle and a burden to you to a point that it is no longer even fun anymore then maybe it is just time for a break. With all forums of which last for long periods of years many very well respected members will get burned out, or have other priorities come up and take a break, after the break some return and some do not. I know that if Lunatic was to choose to make another forum, and thus the VB License with him, I know that I myself would be willing to pitch in for a purchase of a new VB license for the forum to keep it going. As much as I would like for you to stick around, I would not want you, or anyone to be stuck doing a daily job of which they dread, because I know how it is to be stuck in a cycle such as that. The Club Bleach community is a great community as you said, and much of its organization currently is due in large portions to your efforts as a admin. I would like to see you stay until the end, but if you feel that it has turned into a daily drag then the decision rests with you on whether it is something you really want to be doing or not.

Its just that its really an insult that Lunatic doesnt care about this forum anymore and I doubt he would let us use the VB license if he manages to get one. Also if Lunatic is making a new forum, I would dump this one since its using unnecessary resources if he doesnt care about this forum.

So hosting becomes another problem.. hm.

Maybe it would be possible to work something out where he would continue hosting these forums if we got our own license, maybe. If not there is a hosting deal of which a long time friend of mine uses of which gives unlimited storage and bandwidth along with everything else you could need for I believe it was 15$/month, if it comes to that.

We can get a cracked and nullified VBulletin for now until we have enough money for a license.

Our #1 priority should be to back up our Database.I'll start immediately through the AdminCP, but if Unholy/Lunatic could give us a proper server backup it would save a lot of time.

I'll try nagging to Unholy about it. He and I don't get along so well, but if I properly explain things to him I think he'd understand. I think he wouldn't mind talking to Lunatic about it given that we've all been working so hard on keeping his forum alive. Even if he decides to ditch this forum, then granting us access to the backup files and FTP - if we infact want to continue on with working on this forum as well as fixing it up in the future - will be the least he could do.

I would assume that if Lunatic was to choose to drop Club Bleach he would give us a full backup of the forum.

Lets keep in mind, we do not even know if Club Bleach is going to be dropped right now for certain.

well, I'm backing up now just in case.

@Z : I think Unholy is "on our side", as far as he could be expected to be anyway. But Lunatic is the root admin of Cb...

anyway, let's carry on for the present. I won't let this community die whatever happens.

I don't what anything or anyone to die.

Let us assume that we can find a way to keep the forum up and running. What I am worried about is that if DB leaves, the decisions that have been over the last few days will be void.

I mean, are you admins going to work a system or something? Up until now, DB has had the final say in nearly everything. What's going to happen to our staff?

Someone has to assume that role I guess. Someone that you guys have faith in.

DB don't leave just now please; we don't have anyone to assume that role atm IMO.

I think too much admining has made you lose interest in CB. IMO if you decrease your daily activities on the forum you build interest again. I experienced this a while back as moderator and I was cured when I joined Naruto-Online and took a break from CB.

As of the moment we don't even know if Lunatic is going to drop the forums so we shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. Although, if it is going to dropped we can either A) Buy a new license B) Download our own vbulletin C) Use Sumpffuchs hosting. Either way Club Bleach isn't going to die.

edit:

and I think I could assume the position if need be :)

Either someone has to assume the roll, or general communication between admins would need to increase.

And CB wont die, we have a strong community.

I was just thinking the same a minute ago. You could go into "admin-mode" as I like to put it. I.e. don't bother updating the forum or even visiting it if the need be for sometime.

P.S. I'd recommend you don't publicisize that if you decide to do it =p. Everyone is pretty much convinced you like to do this often even though a few know of whats happening behind the scenes =p.

P.P.S Yes Sandal you could :).

I must also add that if you become inactive so will Civilian. If you stay gone for too long I will be sad and I might retire as well. After all, we were modded at the same time so it would only be right if we both retired at the same time as well right? :)

Z_Blitz

If we are supposed to retire with people whom we got modded with, then technically I'm retired since I was modded with Pylar :(.

It only applies if your post count is above 6,000

SumpfFuchs

yea, dragon wont leave just yet, otherwise he faces the mass bugging of doom by me on aim!

and if you are supposed to retire with the people you got modded with, then I would have to back into retirement already o.O except for the fact that you need 6000 posts for it to count, and I do not have that quite yet.

Amazing is it not, a forum that manages over 20,000 members, and 3500-4000 posts a day has a database thats only over a single gigabyte.
