well,since i haven't really seen how more powerfull a quincy can be (dont know what goes up in the manga),if they have any more to show in their fighting style etc,i'll go for the shinigami.since i used to be in martial arts some time ago and always have a kick for katanas,their way of fighting and the ability to further develope it (bankai,kidou etc) makes it far more interesting :)

i'd rather be a shinigami. because i don't want to destroy a soul like the quincy do when they destroy hollows. instead i'd like to give them a chance to purify their souls, like the shinigami do when they slay a hollow.
their soul will be saved if they were a good person before they became a hollow, otherwise they'll be sent to hell.

in term of strength tough, i don't know which one is the strongest quincy or shinigami.
but just for the reason i mentioned earlier, i'd like to be shinigami because i could give a hollow a second chance.

I would want to be shinigami. Because their cooler and they have a Zanpkutous. And then theres the different types of skills you would have i would want to be a all a round type of shinigami so i can use all my skills. Like Kidou, Hohou, Hakuda, etc... Then i would all so have a bankia too. Then my zanpkutou would be a ice type like Toushirou and Rukia.

Anyway, my choice would be a Shinigami, if for no other reason than the fact that a Zanpakto can be cooler than a bow (which is rather boring since it has only one stage/form normaly, depending on the person wielding it).

Although I'm more of an archer person, prefering to avoid physical contact, I'd rather be Shinigami.

Quincy are cool too :).

A quincy is alright, but they just aren't cool enough like a shinigami is. I love katanas, swordfighting, and I especilly love thinking up shikai/bankai for whenever I make an rp character. Definitly Shinigami for me!

Quincys are fairly weak...thats y they were all wiped out with the exception of a few(wont say the actual number) also if u remember Humans have a maximum power that they can have IE wen Mariyu (sp?) made the comment to Ishda when he used the glove that he was surpassing the limit allowed to humans....so there is a limit to his power Surpassing that limit.. gets ur powers to go poof if not more so ill go with Shinigami..and BTW y not just be a shinigami that has a shikai that turns into a bow all u ranged attk pple.

I guess if I had to choose from the two, I'd say Shinigami. We've learned that Soul Society isn't the pristine, cut-and-dry place it's advertised as in the first few episodes, and there are definitely bits of the policy made by the upper brass that I don't agree with, but I think balancing the soul count between the worlds is an important job. Someone's got to do it.

Plus, I like playing with sharp, pointy objects, and I'd be dying to know what the shikai form of my zanpakutou would be.

I do love bows and arrows, and there are certain aspects of Quincy mentality that are appealing, and the Gotei 13 are a bit to military for me, but in the end it would be Shinigami. Mostly because I love the idea of that personal connection with your Zanpakuto.
