Shinigami Money!

Does Shinigami Use money? they wont carry it around as it will slower shunpo but they nid food and drinks that costs right? as they gets hungry unlike the souls in rukongai so does shinigami have moneys? never seen them having any?!

Im gonna say yes, i a way! 'cause in 1 episode, u see hanatou or whoever(the whimpy 4th div kid!) with money as he'[s thrown out of a shop as the shopkeeper shouts, "I cant accept this money!" So, mabye he was trying to use SS money in there! Just an idea!

Renji's glasses/visor/whatever does get destroyed quite a bit. It's fairly obvious they get payed, as seen in one of the earlier chapters, there are bounties for various Hollows (Though not the newly-created or weak hollows)

I always wondered....for an old bleach rp site I was a part of if they used money. I wonder what their currency is? Yen? Probably not. *thinks*

I don't think money would slow down their shunpo that much anyway...unless their carrying bags of it around.

I think the shinigami get everything paid for them cuz the are shinigami. The others that aren't shinigami do though

Much of you think they do use money so u think they have notes like us or just uses coins or something different? and how they carry it? like a wallet or pouch or something like that? so wats ur opinion?

Money must also exist throughout Soul Society otherwise why would
young Renji, Rukia and co have been forced to steal when they were in their rough Rukongai?

with the guy who comes to arrest Rukia (who's name I've temporarily forgotten) is finishing playing with the kids, is it me or does he hand them money? "This'll help...". It could have been his spinning top, but meh?

Honestly, I never gave this one much thought. Its obvious they use money to buy stuff both in SS and the real world I think and for the real world they probably use Yen since the town setting is in Japan but i'm not sure of what currency they use in SS or if they even have one ;)

but according to manga readers, shinigami do have money...
though, in the anime, i don't recall any shigami using nor mentioning money while in soul society.
but wait...i think, if my memory is correct, when renji was a child he stole water from a merchant...and this merchant said something like: "if you don't want to buy anything, scram"
so maybe they do have money though don't know which currency...

but indeed, it's an interesting question. :)

yea shinigami do have money. matsumoto walks into a store in one if the shinigami illustrated extras after an episode in the bounto arc to buy make up to go to the real world and complains that everything is more expensive in the real world
