I just watched Bleach for the first time last night on Adult Swim. So far so good, it might become one of my favorites in time.
However, I know that sometimes a show can be ruined because it loses some of it's "meaning" once it is translated and possibly edited (Like in the case of 'Naruto'), is this also the case for 'Bleach'?

What "meaning" is there in Bleach that could be lost? Its hardly the deepest show on TV.

Well...the meanings are usually shallow and unimportant. For instance they call good spirits "whole" (like in the manga) which makes Menos grande lose its meaning (Big Minus, the opposite of plus).
I think letsdrinkbleach is referring to catch phrases that they haven't been able to transfer the same meaning, such as 'Believe it!' etc... If that's the case, I haven't noticed any, but then again they're still introducing characters.

i just hope they dont translate bankai and say "full release!!!" instead. that would sound retarded
Well, so far they've kept the majority of the names intact, so I figure they will keep Bankai in... but you never know with this silly dubbers =P
Also I didnt get the Kon looking up Rukia's skirt scene.... In the original IN PLAIN ENGLISH he says "heh... nice angle..." but they changed it to him babbling about that Mod (instead of Kai) is a cooler name then Kon =P Totally ruined the humerous effect of that part and it made no sense XP
