i havent read the manga but from what ive seen in the anime...there are more lucid hints towards ichirukia ...i mean in all the episodes, i havent seen him once have a flash with inoue ...except that one time when he remembered her as a little girl when her brother died and that was totally not the least romantic context...so i would be quite amazed to see him end up with inoue instead of rukia

Manga/Anime like Bleach dont usually end up with loving couples. Its something more like Naruto or One Piece where couples are hinted at but probably will never be acted upon and if they are it will be at the end of the series with little to no detail about it. Maybe that explains why they arnt making a good couple with Rukia.

Oh what you would rather have it wrapped up in one or two years? NAH!!! judging by how Naruto and One Piece are going I very much dont think Bleach (who is the youngest manga of the big 3) is going to stop anytime soon (soon being 2 years max). I think the only gay person in Bleach is that girl Chizuru who loves Inoue. Then there is Ichigos needy friend, but that's a entirely different story.

and about the saving inoue/rukia part in the manga when he saves rukia from that guy, arrancar(sp) i think....remember?...the theory doenst work here as well, cause thinking of the fact that we owned her his life and he had already saved her from ss, he still does it now without owing her anymore...and the way he looks when inoue was healin her, that desperate look in his eyes that even inoue sees(she looks dissapointing then btw)...well how can u explain that?

theres a difference in the way u look at someone u have failed to protect and for whom u feel sorry for and the way u look at someone when ure desperate for their life...take a better look at the manga... if u look u can see that he has almost the same face when he sees inoue injured at school and he feels sorry and guilty for not protecting her knowing she is heping him though she is weak and the one he makes when rukia is being healed(almost same face as u said in these two situations).....BUT the face drawn on the main page of the chapter of the 213 manga is different and says a lot more....undeniable
and talkin about looks even if u would be right and the two situations would neutralize each other rukia still has the advantage of the look ichigo gave her when she told him she wants to stay in ss...in the manga theres a clear flash of the dissapointed look and in the anime its increased by the gesture of his fist trying to control his emotions and not show them...a very coomon thing for him to restrain his emotions in front of rukia

Ok, a. Inoue's not weak, that's your impression and it's wrong. b. chack this out first before sying that Ichigo is acting no different towards Inoue: I like the anime fillers much. If there was any consolation about the anime downplayed IchiOri scenes from the manga....it would have compensate it by showing 4 episodes that have ichi/ori hints in it.

episode 64:: As Orihime related the misadventures of SS, Orihime touched Ichigo's hand backwards as a assurance that she knew what she was doing.
And when Renji mentioned the strange reiatsu detected, the first word he blurted out was Inoue's name. Like as if she was his first priority.
Ichigo yelling out Inoue's name when he saw Inoue being sucked into the door and tried to slice the door open. When he failed, he yelled out Inoue's name in frustration.

Episode 65:: Ichigo was particularly worried for Inoue. When they decided to check out Inoue's house, Ichigo was angry at Chad for suggesting to break Inoue's door. Very considerate of him. But when something happened at that designated time, that Inoue was suppose to be there during that time, Ichigo asked Chad to break open the door quickly.
Ichigo's telephone conversation with Ririn demanding for Inoue was sweet.
"I don't want to just see her....I want her back now! Hey, let me just hear her voice! Please be okay Inoue! Give her back now! Now!"

Episode 66:: After hearing Kon rants about wanting to molest Inoue's back (or breast) Ichigo suggested to Ishida to dump Kon and run away if something happen.

Episode 67:: Ichigo stepped on Kon hard just because Kon suggested to snuggle into Inoue's boobs to prove her innocence.
Ichigo was the first person to run after Inoue when she ran off suddenly.
Ichigo calmed hysterical Inoue and assured her that he will not let anything bad happen to Tatsuki.

Episode 68:: My favourite.
Ichigo gently tell Inoue enough. Not his usual 'Urusai.'
When the door started to suck in, it appeared that Ichigo and Inoue together run to grab on something. Ichigo holding Inoue's hand and dragged her to somewhere solid, while the other boys individually got into something. You have to pause the part to see Ichigo and Inoue running simultaneously together
Ichigo jumped to up to catch flying Inoue and held on to her close. (Awww) when Renji was nearby, Ichigo pushed Inoue to Renji and asked him to take care of Inoue while he tried to bankai the door.
Before Ichigo and Renji started the fight, he assigned Ishida to take care of Inoue first.

Episode 70:: From the time Rukia appeared until Orihime came into the picture, Ichigo did not really smile. I liked him when he smiled at Orihime blabbering to Rukia what kind of restaurants and food to take to celebrate Rukia's return. Of course people may choose to disagree. But I think Orihime being Orihime, sweet and non-grudging and sincere is very heart-warming.

p.s.:those episodes dont resemble the slightest thing with the manga and the examples i gave u WERE in the manga, not only in the anime(in the anime, those ichirukia moments are made almost 100%the same as shown in the manga, while these, DONT even EXIST IN THE MANGA). we all know there are fillers(i personally think some of those are especially made to confuse us), but u cant change the writers ending:D and i doubt the fact the anime is gonna have a different ending than the manga, no matter the fillers...therefore hihihihi

Ok, simply enough, the only reason I didn't ignore the filler episodes is because the removed all of the Ichigo and Inoue moments in the Soul-Society arc. So now they are giving them back. Also let me tell you soemthing I checked up again and again. In ALL of the IchiRuki moments, there was only Ichigo's repetitional "I owe her my life so I will save her". With Ichigo and Inoue's moments, it was always "I will protect you". You are just trying to prove you favorite pairing by looking only at what suits you.
