They are constantly together day and night, spending time either at school or fighting hollows, and she sleeps in his bedroom closet and Ichigo doesn't appear to mind at all :). So, something is bound to happen between those two. Ichigo went to Soul Society to save her from death. Now, some say his reason for rescuing her, is to pay her for what she did for him before. BUT let's not forget that he still went after her with full force. He train extensively with sandal-hat and almost die, all for a chance to save her. I don't think his reason for going to soul society is just the debt thing. I think he really does care alot for her. He just doesn't realize it yet.

It seem to me that both Ichigo and Rukia's relationship is just forming..It's still in the developmental stage, so to speak. As more chapters and episodes are release, they're relationship will grow before our eyes. I'm certain of it. Besides, just look at the OP and ED...they revolve mostly about the two, especially ED2..and they are the hero and heroine of the series, right? ;)

Definitely go with Ichigo x Rukia. It seems to me that it's just a one-sided affection in Orihime's part. After 167 chapters of the manga, Ichigo hasn't shown anything whatsoever that would indicate any other feelings besides friendship towards her. That would have to depend I guess. It's still based on Kubo Taito's decision, right? He may want to choose creating a complicated romance storyline, or maybe make a clean cut one with Orihime finally going with Ishida. =D

Bleach is a shounen series, not shoujo. I highly doubt that Kubo-sensei would spend too much on the romance stuff and make it more complicated than it already is. He'll probably make it simple. If that is so, then it's pretty obvious who he will pair up at the end (either Ichigo x Rukia or Ishida x Orihime). But, you're right, it's Kubo-sensei's decision to make. I just hope that he would make a good one that all Ichigo x Rukia fan will be satisfied with ;)

Anyway, I don't think Rukia's gigai was destroyed by those scientist people. The last time we saw her faux body, it was being adored and studied. Scientific people won't destroy something that they consider one of a kind and perfect like her gigai body. Most likely they would study it further :) However, if it was destroyed..Urahara (if he's not involve in the conspiracy) can make another one for her ;)

About Rukia staying with Ichigo when all the fiasco is over...I believe it's a high possibility that Ichigo won't leave soul society without her. Even if he has to drag her out of there (love that scene), he will not leave her there. Also, there's chance Rukia will never recover her powers back and b/c of that she will not be a shinigami anymore. The first ED song was interesting..Did anyone noticed she was holding a red spirit threat, then she let it go. I'm not sure whether its hers or Ichigo's..but, I'm positive is hers. Maybe, that's signifying something that will happen later on.

Hmm...I thought the red spirit thread signifies what Rukia is, which is a shinigami. Regular people have white threads. So, it's basically an indicator whether somebody is a shinigami or not. In the first ED, Rukia was thinking about her school friends and Ichigo. I think the red thread was Rukia's and her letting it go..probably means that perhaps later on she will choose not to be a shinigami in favor of staying with her new friends and Ichigo :)

Rukia's power would have returned to her when Ichigo was hit by Byakuya when they took Rukia back. The powers Ichigo is using now are his own. He doesn't have her's anymore. Something which no shinigami knows yet. They all think Ichigo's somehow still using her power. Rukia has been locked up for several days, plus hasn't had her powers for months before that, so she probably hasn't noticed yet. No one else has realized as they think Ichigo still has her power. The chances are they'll find out as soon as Rukia's in a position to try something despite thinking she doesn't have her power.

I think the whole incident with Rukia being locked up in a white tower has some sort of a fairy tale feel to it. She's considered to be the 'princess' of the Kuchiki clan afterall, and then she's put in a place that look like a tower of a castle :)

She does play a good 'damsel in distress' perfectly. However, she really doesn't like to be portrayed that way though. I think Ichigo is the one who wants her to act as a 'damsel in distress' as evidence by what he said to her on chapter 117 - "You should crouch in the corner, shiver in fear, and scream help! help!" - I loved that scene. Their expressions and interactions are the best! :)

fuffufufufu, i loved that chapt too, but the chapt before that too was just as nice as well, 116 when ichigo and rukia eyes locked wahahaha.....its like instead of the knight in shining armour waiting below her balcony and she looking down its the opposite...it becomes her looking up and the knight is in black..... yeah and at first i was pissed off at ichigo when he passed her by without acknoweldging her...............and when he did talk to her he had to look away wahahahahhaa he feels shy after not seeing her for quite awhile...........and anyway besides me seems to think that he was sort of nervous when he was talking to her about, "why give me that face, i had gd intentions of coming here to rescue you, at least show that your happy abit" and then when rukia shows him the eye....................he gets all " actually i dunnoe how to describe it but at least he was affected hahaha".....................117........loved it when ichigo smiled at her.....haha

Ichigo & Orihime is clearly a one-sided deal! There's no way in hell that Kubo-sensei would just all of a sudden let Ichigo accept her feelings after 168 chapters of him not feeling anything but friendship. It's clear to me that Kubo-sensei's main focus on both the anime & manga, is the developing relationship between Ichigo x Rukia. I don't think it would make sense if he suddenly switch attention from the female lead character to a supporting one. That to me just doesn't make sense at all and I really doubt it will happen.

Those people who says there's more evidence of Ichigo x Orihime is probably saying it b/c they're a fan of that pair or they probably didn't read the manga that much. I read 168 chapters of the manga & watch 21 episodes of the anime, and believe me, from what I can see there's more Ichigo x Rukia hints than Ichigo & Orihime hints. So, don't worry :)

This is the shocker of the whole manga - Aizen is ALIVE and working with Ichimaru Gin & most likely Kira too. Their motives is still unknown. Hinamori was shocked and happy to see Aizen alive. Aizen started apologizing to Hinamori and told her why he has to fake his death (which I don't understand)..then he stabbed her with a sword. Aizen & Gin left Hinamori's body on the floor. Aizen called Gin to follow him and surprisingly, Gin followed, calling Aizen 'captain.' I find that interesting b/c Gin was the vice-captain of Aizen before he became captain himself. The problem with that comparison is that Sakura is lead female character & Lee isn't. I think usually male lead character ends up being involve w/ the lead female character of the series. Yup, Rukia definitely 'like' Ichigo & I would like to think Ichigo likes her too. Whether it's just friendship or more, it's hard to tell at this moment. But, it's a strong possibility that Ichigo & Rukia will end up together at the end. There's just too many things in the manga & anime that will lead to that conclusion. Anyway, I never really like Orihime's character. So, I don't think I will feel bad or disappointed if Ichigo ends up w/ Rukia at the end. That kind of stuff happens. You might like somebody, but it won't necessarily mean that person will like you back. And that's okay though. Sometimes you just have to get over it & move on from there. Orihime has alot of people who likes & cares for her. I happen to think she will be able to cope w/ it.

I personally think that there is no romantic interaction between Ichigo and anyone. (Well if we're talking cannon anyway, but lets not get into that. -__-) His relationship with Rukia seems brotherly to me, and it seems to be the same on Rukia's behalf. There certainly hasn't been any blushing or the other general hints, and their interaction is as I said before like a brother and sister of the same age. And with Orihime his relationship and opinion of her is of a good friend, though Orihime likes him. The same goes for Tatsuki except Tatsuki only thinks of him as a friend as well. Of course, I haven't read that far into the manga yet, but from what I've seen it's obvious that Ichigo and Rukia care for each other deeply but it's not romance. Brother and sister, or best friends, but definately not romance.

So in my personal opinion, unless Ichigo goes under some random personality change, theres no chance of him being involved with anyone at all in the manga or anime.

But if we're talking non cannon I see many yaoi pairings.... heh heh...... ^__~

Urahara and Yoruichi ... hmm, that would make sense. They have been really good friends for a really long time and she did leave Soul Society in order to help him escape. There certainly is enough evidence to support the argument that there is something between them, but it's kind of hard to tell, because it's impossible to know what Urahara is really thinking!

As for my other favorites: I am a big fan of Ichigo and Rukia. I think they would work out well together, but they do have a really strange relationship. Personally I think it's even better that their relationship is so messed up, that's what makes Bleach so interesting!

I'm curious. What is the friggin deal with these yaoi pairings? Ishida x Ichigo? I've seen Renji x Ichigo, Chad x Ichigo, Urahara x Renji, Urahara x Ichigo, Chad x Shunsui, Gin x Byakuya.

Ok, now don't get me wrong, I don't mind canon yaoi (i.e: homosexual man a loves homosexual man b) because it's just that, canon. But I don't understand whats so amazing with this baseless pairing crap. I've asked countless fangirls questions about pairings, and the only reply i get is "because they'd be hawt together, duh." and they ream me on how i'm a hypocrit cause I support Tatsuki x Orihime.

However, Tatsuki obviously cares for Orihime, and the epsiode in which they leave for the soul society kind of hints that she just might care for her from a loving perspective. I can see potential in there (Orihime really cares about Tatsuki too, who's to say a little influence from Tatsuki herself couldn't sway her. I got a load of facts backing this pairing up, i'm not saying it's solid and set in stone seeing as Ishida x Orihime is bound to happen) but back to my point before I ramble on.

Ichigo and Renji hate each other, and then eventually grow to disliking each other. I really don't see how they can care about each other. Chad and Ichigo are good friends, apparently two men being trusting pals makes them gay? Urahara x Renji, I have no comments on as I have no idea how the hell that works at all. Same for Byakuya x Gin. Urahara x Ichigo, now that alone confuses me as well. Apparently when two men interact in any way, shape, or form it constitutes to them being pairable.

Chad x Shunsui...that pairing alone makes me laugh out loud. I suppose his constant hits on Nanao are simply because he has no interest in women other than terrorizing them?

And I also don't understand how Ichigo x Ishida would work, either as they're not really close, even as friends.

Back when Rukia gets taken away to soul society and Urahara saves Ichigo, when Ichigo wakes up at the shop there was a short conversation between him and Urahara, and the one thing that Urahara said was "The power of love is stronger than steel" Why would Urahara say that unless he sensed a deeper bond between Ichigo and Rukia?

When Rukia is in her cell at section 6 she constantly talks about "him" and "he" which later we find out is Ichigo. She obviously cares for him. When Ichigo begins his fight with Zaraki Rukia begins to pray that Ichigo would run, so he could live.

Yes Ichigo has a debt to repay, but that is definantly not the hwole reasoning behind his quest to save her. Whenever her name is said he instantly freezes, and when in battle someone says something about her he get stronger fast.
