However, immediately after, Kakashi stabs Kakuzu through the heart with Raikiri.

nice one spike sounds like a good chapter. still i'm expecting kazuku to still be alright seen as this happened before with hidan and then he was fine.
still well do kakashi and sakura still hasn't got to naruto yet.

yea looks like it really is the end for kakuzu i dont see him coming back from something like that, i dont think he cant harden his insides becuz then i think that would make him to powerful, and im guessing that would mean naruto is almost done with his training then with that explaination by yamato, also thats sorta alittle bit of symbolizism (hoo my god i cant spell that)

I'm still not sure if Kakuzu will die so easily, because he hasn't exactly been battling a lot...it took quite a while for Sasori to be taken down by Sakura and the granny. Is Kakuzu really going to be defeated just like that? I think he may have something up his sleeve that even Kakashi doesn't know about yet...

A very symbolic chapter indeed...

Water beats fire, fire beats wind, wind beats lightning (which literaly means Sasuke's trump card, his body Chidori, won't work because Naruto's Chakra beats it), lightning beats earth (isn't it usualy the other way around? I mean usualy earth type creatures are resilient to lightning based magic...), and earth beats water.

Hmmm, I wonder, what is Sasuke's "that Jutsu"? Maybe it's a fire based move against Naruto's wind?

Now that I've seen the images out, maybe Kakuzu's heart is on the right side and he didn't die.

Also, it's amazing how Shikamaru can bind both Akatsuki members. He has the brain but not enough chakra to bind those two. I think Kishimoto wanted to move the pace quicker...

Kakuzu could be dead or not. Either way, Hidan is going to be hard to kill. He is immortal. Since cutting his head off doesn't work (Highlander reference), they must incinerate him or something.

Okay, I just read the scanlation...it really looks like Kakuzu is going to die. D: Omg...I hate Kakashi for killing him off so fast! >__< I didn't even mind when Sasori died, but...Kakuzu... *sighs*

i guess there's always hope. he really dies too soon for an akatsuki member. like i said, maybe his heart isn't in the right place.

I doubt his heart is in the 'wrong place'...Kakuzu seemed pretty depressed about the situation himself. He wasn't like, HAHA YOU HIT ME IN THE WRONG PLACE! He was more like, omg I'm gonna die because your electric attack is of too high a level... =/

I would like it if Kakuzu at least lived for another few chapters though. :D I think the next chapter will contain some flashbacks of Hidan and Kakuzu.

well does this mean that all this wind element jutsu is for nuthing if its useless against sasukes fire. then we will now c a water based rasengan?
and i think that kakuzu is dead and i cant wait for hidan to be killed T_T

But remember that Sasuke's ULTIMATE jutsu is of an electric nature. Naruto may not be able to defeat the fire jutsu, but with a good plan he can evade the attack.

Or he uses the Kyuubi's chakra...and then It won't matter anymore since the Kyuubi's power already burns his skin...:p

IMO, if Naruto manages to use both Kyuubi's powers and his own wind Chakra, he'll defeat Sasuke no problem.

If I remember correctly, the Kyuubi is the god of fire, true? So, if he completes Naruto's weakness against Sasuke.

There is, of course, the slight problem of Naruto being unable to fight with the 100% of his own powers because he must surpress the Kyuubi. Reminds you of someone? Bleach maybe?

If he could just use the Kyuubi without turning into mad-dog 10 in black version, he'd pwn Sasuke ages ago...
