This is for all of you that did not know already.
If any of you want to download a video from YouTube, here's how:
Copy The URL of the video
Go to www.videodownloader.net
Paste the URL and click download

You'll have to download FLV player (the link is provided on videodownloader.net) to play back the videos.

And be sure that when you save the files, that have a .flv extension, otherwise they won't play correctly.

Thanks, I forgot how to save off of there, this will be very helpful lol.

Now something to transfer it to .avi would be nice lol

Thanks for posting, but when I copied the link to FLV player, it doesn't play, it sits there and does nothing. Help?

If you have a comment to post regarding the topic then please do so. Otherwise, don't post stuff saying that it should belong in some other section of the forum. You're not mods so please don't act like ones. Pseudomodding is prohibited and will be penalized.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't tried it yet, but I intend to soon :).

Did you save it as a .flv extension like I said? If you didn't then try it like that, or if you did, not really sure why it does not work. It should. Or if you use firefox download the firefox toolbar extension and then go to the video's website and then click that and it will download. If it still doesn't work then just capture it using hypercam, although that will take time.

Now something to transfer it to .avi would be nice lol
When you press the download button three options should come up. Download as .flv, download as .avi and download as .mp4. If they do not then download it and then use RIVAFLVencoder. Link is http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3
Then on this website (link is http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t259578.html) it gives a step by step instruction on how to convert it to .avi.
Alternativly you could use the Moyea FLV to Video converter which converts flv to avi, flv to video, flv to mpeg, flv to wmv, flv to mov, flv to mp4, flv to mp3, flv to 3gp. And the link is http://www.flash-video-mx.com/flv_to_video_web/
If you want to buy it you can but I would recommend the free downloadable version.

Yeah I wan't too sure if it should be in what section. So I posted it in this one on a randon guess.

I can't save it as an extension because when I pasted the URL, nothing happened. Don't know why. It won't view and therefore if nothing happens I can't save it.

http://javimoya.com/blog/ youtube_en.php

(without the spacing in between)

This is a website at which you can download Youtube videos at as well. Just save the document in .flv format and play it on FLV Player.

usually I just edit pages with MS FrontPage to find the actual embedded vid file but that method doesnt seem to work with YouTube
