A Theory on Gin (mainly)*spoilers*

Now I'm fairly new to the bleach manga so after reading like 100 chapters or so to catch up the whole soul society thing seems fresh in my head. And I'm noticing a weird thing around here its like topsie turvey land people hate Ohrime but love Ichimaru Gin. This guy makes my skin crawl. But any way is he also hyponotised? All you ever need to do is see Aizen's Ban kai once and your under, and I'm pretty sure Gin has seen it at least once right?

Regardless I think the moment of Aizens inevitable defeat Gin will take the opertunity to finish Aizen off himself and be God of Hollows or whatever the hell Aizen was orginally trying to achieve in Menos Grande Land.
Obviously If I'm bring the whole Aizen thing up I have to mention Tousen too, Personaly I think he's deluded and seduced by power and might come to realise either in time or too late he's a puppet to Aizen nothing more.

Good theory, but I have a funny feeling that Gin's being used too..kinda because of what he said to Rangiku.

I think that Aizen can control who he hypnotizes with his Senkei, so if Ichimaru was ever under his "control", I'm sure he released him soon after. True, he may be being used, but he was extremely and strangely calm about everything "weird" happening with Aizen, ex. Aizen's "death".

About when he said to Rangiku, I don't think he's completely evil. I think that he kind of regrets some things, or maybe has feeling for her. Anyway, he said, "I'm sorry" and "It'd have been to be held captive a little longer" (i think), so maybe, in the end, he'll end up helping everyone...

Like I stated in another thread, I beleive Aizen and Gin have the Sith lord and Sith apprentice complex.

As in, when Aizen reaches his goal, either Gin will kill him and take Aizen's place, or Aizen will wipe out Gin (as well as Tousen) so no one else but him and him alone could get the power/prize/whatever. There's probably not a lot of trust between the three.

And how you asked how people can't like Orihime but like Gin, well my reasoning is this:

Orihime is pretty much the token ditz, which drives me crazy. i don't HATE her, but just...eh. Not fond of her.

Gin, however, seems to be the kind of "subtle psycho" or just plain mysterious villain whom you have NO IDEA what he'll do next. Thats why I like him :B

I was thinking maybe that Gin maybe will try and harm or maybe even kill Aizen in an attempt to over throw him but then Aizen will kill him undoubtily. Then if or when Gin is like on the brink of death Rangiku will meet up with him blah blah blah tears fall blah blah blah haha all that fun stuff...wow that looked really bad..

In other words, Gin is a mysterious character that we don't really know anything about... well, we'll see him in the future sometime

Exactly. Ichimaru is mysterious and always shocks the readers. First anyone thinks, he killed Aizen - but he didn't. Then it looks like he killed the 46 old dudes for some pages - but that wasn't him. And he seemed to be sad of leaving Rangiku.
Now, what we come to think is, that Ichimaru, Tousen and Aizen had a plan, and none of them would betray each other, 'til they're very close to their goal. And it looks like Ichimaru is Aizens "puppet" which is being hypnotized as well. So since that's what most ppl think, THAT's what not gonna happen.

Tousen: First of all, he's blind. So he ain't hypnotized but seeks for power to bring justice. We know his former friend was killed by a Shinigami - but we don't know what happened to that shinigami, or if he knows who that ist. So maybe that guy was Aizen (most people think, only Mayuri would be someone that kills his own comrades and his wife. But think about it - Aizen killed lots of Shinigami using hollows like the one, that killed Shiba Kaien and his wife). IF that shinigami was Aizen, I guess Tousen knows he can't defeat him right now and pretends to be on his side. Just to take the power Aizen is trying to get, and kill him with that.

Ichimaru: It looks like you have to look at Aizen or his Zanpakutou to get hypnotized. But since Gin's eyes hardly open, we don't really know where he's looking at, if he's standing in front of someone - and so can't Aizen. And....do we even know if ichimaru's eyes are opened at all? Maybe he's kinda "playing blind" (not using one of your senses, sharpens the other ones). You may call him a "subtile psycho" - but he ain't dumb. Gin ain't the kind of person, tht would help someone, that would kill him without hesitating, become stronger without a good reason.

Maybe Gin is really teamed up with Aizen.
Gin was once Aizen's Vice-Captain. Maybe they're both crazy.
