~ Cerpin, now released from the infrmary and feeling stronger and a bit wiser from the experience of his battles with Grasshopper is eager to gain even stronger. While walking through the wilds of Rukongai he can slightly sense a powerful reiatsu coming from hueco mundo....now eager to engage new enemies in battle Cerpin open a gate and enters Hueco Mundo to search out this reiatsu. His searching leads him to the all familiar duel ring.

"Could this be Grasshopper?! No way, this reiatsu is different, it smells of.....shinigami."

~ As Cerpin walks into the duel ring he's met by the eyes of a shinigami sitting off in one of the corners. Feeling his intent Cerpin readys himself.

"I didn't think my little power burst would draw attention so quickly yet here you are. I saw your last fight against grasshopper. The others may have booed but they don't see what I do... I see... potential. Overtime you could become a real threat to those of Seireitei... and that suits me to a tee. Well... this is the duel ring and there's only one reason to be here so...."

*Edrial takes his stance and looks towards the shinigami.*

"My name's Edrial.... Edrial Kazuhiko... and I can promise you... a fun match my friend."

*Edrial looks at the shinigami, who looks a little surprised he avoided most of his technique. Using his blade he swings out a little, sending him back across the ring.*

"A little hasty on the attack my friend. You must remember, unlike grasshopper, I have a level of intelligence and skill. Such attacks won't work that easily."

*Edrial begins to charge at the shinigami, with a flurry of sword strikes, aiming at his chest.*

~ Cerpin uses his speed to dodge the attacks, but Edrial still manages to catch some of Cerpins flesh slicing the surface of his chest. Cerpin quickly grabs at his chest and looks up in surprise.


"Hm. looks like I might have underestimated you......you may indeed make me unsheathe my sword today.

~ Cerpin then dashes towards Edrial

*Edrial easily dodges the shinigami's attacks, knocking back his final attempt with his blade, making him expose his wrists.*

"You'll need to do more than unsheath your blade to beat me my friend, as you'll see."

*Edrial grips his blade as he swings his zanpakuto fiercly at the shinigami's exposed wrists.*

~ Cerpin is hit by Edrial's swing but jumps back enough that the cut isn't very deep. Cerpin falls to one knee and checks his wounds. seeing they're not very deep he launches a counter attack.

*Edrial stands ready as the shinigami begins to flash step around the ring looking for an opening in his defence. He smirks as he grips his blades hilt.*

"Impressive speed shinigami, I'm quite surprised grasshopper took you down, if you have this level of skill. Battle can only serve one purpose... to make you strong... but it's the reason you want power that sets you apart from the rest. Why do you seek power, shinigami?"

*Edrial analyses the spots the shinigami steps on and waits for the opportune moment and swings his sword with such force, the wind it carries can cut through flesh, it shooting in the shinigami's direction.*

~ Cerpin closes in for an attack, but is tricked. Edrial dashes behind him and unleashes a fury of attacks. Cerpin cannot turn to block in time and is sent crashing to the ground. As Cerpin falls to the ground, now on one knee, he looks up at Edrial...


"I seek power to complete my mission.....for vengeance......to rid the Gotei 13 of the ignorance, arrogance and imcompetence that now corrodes it. That is why I fight!"

~ As Cerpin yells out his last words he unsheathes his sword and charges Edrial.

*Edrial, caught a little by surprise, manages to dodge the shinigami's first attack but the second comes in so fast it slices the side of his neck. He jumps away, clutching his neck as the blood drips to the cold arena floor.*

Edrial's Hp: 43-4 = 39

"Nice move, I feel a little wozy now heh heh. Those of the Gotei 13 are ignorant, negligent fools living in a world devoid of justice. I fight for what they took from me... those dearest to me... and I, Edrial Kazuhiko, with my blade shall give them the same pain, 10 fold. That is why I fight... and why I shall win."

*Edrial unleashes his reiatsu and jumps into the air, his zanpaku-to ready to cleave the last drop of blood from his opponents withered body. He looks down at the shinigami and before he swings he shouts down.*

"Shinigami, you are a worthy competitor. Perhaps in the future I shall learn your name but you must never lose sight of your goal, fight to the very end for it. Should you fall here today, remember my name and come fight me once again."

*That said Edrial attempts to cut down the shinigami with one final strike of his zanpaku-to as he swings his blade down in a powerful arc.*

The only action he makes is a grimace as a wound suddenly zips across his chest, blood shooting forth as he falls to the ground of the arena. At the same time, Edrial's neck wound spouts a little blood forward also.*

"That was good... shinigami." Edrial sheathes his blade and flicks the shinigami onto his back with his foot. "I believe you have something that can be of use to me... an old man said all I need was some shinigami eyes.... and you fit that bill, my friend."

*Edrial plunges his hand into the shinigami's eye sockets in an attempt to harvest his eyes.*

*Edrial succeeds an pulls the shinigami's eyes from his head as he places them then into a small satchel.*

"Heh heh, only 4 more pairs to go." He looks at the shinigami, blood now running from his eyes aswell as his chest. "No worries though my friend, the infirmary will see you grow some new ones. I'm not that callous, at least not to fellow renegades."

*Edrial leaves the arena but as he makes it onto the wastes, the neck wound he has suddenly spits up alot of blood causing him to lose his balance.*

"I knew you had.... heh, potential...." Edrial collapse to the ground the wind kicking about the dust around him."
