burning bleach to dvd format help

what type of formats do regular dvd players support?
all the bleach videos im gonna burn are in avi format.
will that work? what program would you recommend to burn dvds?
and if i have to convert them what should i use to do so?

I think we have many threads like this one and several answers related to this question. I personally am not aware of it due to my lack of experience with DVD burning, but I'm sure someone here could help you out :).

Use Nero to burn your DVDs. And you could convert your AVI files into a DVD format file by using Nero Recode.

This is true....most dvd burning software will allow you to import video files (in your case, your Bleach avi's) and will encode them itself to DVD format prior to burning the finished product to a DVD.
